Just a reminder that I am on a week’s holiday from 18th of August and service back on Saturday 26th
Fontwell- good ground on this flat and quite sharp track
1.30 PREMIUM RACE
2.00 I’ve backed Keppel Isle before off higher marks and in better races and has to be worth a play in this despite 4 months off the track.
¼ pt win Keppel Isle @ 9/1
2.30 Mount Vesuvius has been far more reliable of late and worth chancing going up in trip by quite a way.
¼ pt win Mount Vesuvius @ 11/2
3.00 This looks most winnable and the likeable KInari won well last time , but the penalty is quite off putting and worth chancing Rockchasebullet back over fences off a good mark.
¼ pt win Rockchasebullet @ 8/1
3.30 Should be easy for Psychadelic Rock to double up despite the penalty, but 4/5 not for me
4.00 PREMIUM RACE
4.30 Not a strong finale and despite a penalty get Home Now has clear claims but I’m trying ramore Will with the first time blinkers and his new stable does really well here
¼ pt ew Ramore Mill @ 6/1
Selected Salisbury- good ground on this undulating, stiff and galloping track
1.50 PREMIUM RACE
2.20 Hat-trick seeker Mutineer has quite a task with a 12 pound penalty and switching from polytrack, but it’s not agreat race which makes the capable McDelta a nice ew bet.
¼ pt ew Mcdelta @ 7/1
2.50 Suitsus goes for the hat-trick an only has a 2 pound penalty. He’ shard to pin down as he’s a hold up type who willingly just does enough and with a good pace likely , can go in again.
¾ pt win Suitsus @ 5/1
3.50 A good quality fillies Class 2 handicap and worth chancing Lucy the Painter, who’s had some stiff tasks of late and is on a workable mark.
¼ pt ew Lucy the Painter @ 14/1
4.20 A Group 3 and it should be Hattal’s day as he is way ahead of the field at the ratings, but there is very little pace in this race early on and the likeliest leader is the improving Ballet Concerto, who wont have to go hard to maintain an advantage and I fancy Ryan Moore can quicken from the front off a steady pace .
½ pt win Balet Concerto @ 11/2
4.50 There was money for baby gal last time and she ran well in the Lingield mud. With the fav Sweet pursuit racing off a testing mark and the rest hardly formidable rivals, looks a very nice ew bet.
½ pt ew Baby gal @ 9/1
Selected Beverley- good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
2.10 PREMIUM RACE
3.40 Sevilla is a very east fav to take on as he’s very hard to win with an worth forgiving a lack lustre run by Cool Magic on the tapeta last time and this usually consistent type has a recent C&D win on his CV
½ pt ew Cool Magic @ 8/1
4.10 Pearl Noir has been given a chance by the handicapper and is well drawn to do his thing from th front. He has 2 C&D wins on his Cv, but they were a while ago and recent runs here have not been the best, but worth rising in a winnable race.
¼ pt ew Pearl Noir @ 8/1
5.10 Mont Royal did really well winning over C&D last time on his first try at the trip and with stamina assured an even better run is expected and only has a 2 pound penalty.
¾ pt win Mont Royal @ 5/1
5.40 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Yarmouth- good ground on this flat and galloping track
5.30 Hope is High keeps creeping up the weights for solid runs and there are alternatives in this. Tyrsal has a good record here and has to go close but slight preference is for Best example, who is hard to win with, but one of these has to drop his way soon.
½ pt ew Best Example @ 6/1
6.00 This has a most winnable look to it and I’m chancing the tough and very genuine Lord Reason, who has a testing mark but is the likely front runner is this, in a race where the pace promises to be steady and he’s hard to pass in the finish.
½ pt win Lord reason @ 12/1
6.30 Another race with a winnable look to it and the down in the ratings Poetc Choice hasn’t been going at all badly of late but will need a good gallop dropping in trip , but that looks probable with Stosur in the field who always likes to dominate .
¼ pt ew Poetic Force @ 11/1
700 I’ve been watching Chetan of late and last time ran his best race for a while and in yet another winnable race , looks a fair ew bet if reproducing his last effort
7.30 Cat Silver won well last time and this isn’t too onerous a task for the double. He has surprisingly switched stables , to a smaller one and at the odds worth a go on the down in the ratings Big Lachie , who is surely well capable of going close off this mark.
¼ pt ew Big Lachie @ 14/1
8.00 I was very keen on the chances of Camino last time , but she as ridden close to a fast pace and did her running too early. She looks well drawn ,low as the 3 pacesetters are all drawn in that area. I’m expecting Martin Lane to ride a far more patient race and take this close home.
¼ pt ew Camino @ 10/1
Selected Leopardstown – probably good to soft on this flat and galloping track
5.35 PREMIUM RACE
6.05 Hard to split The Tulip and Settel for Red and they certainly look to have this between them, Fc time
¼ pt rev fc The Tulip- Settle for Red
7.40 Korbous has a terrific record and while his mark is presently testing, this is an easier assignment and looks most solid ew
½ pt ew Korbous @ 9/2
Selected Chepstow- good to soft on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track
5.15 Not easy picking between Neverbeen to Paris, Shepherd Market and Great Vizier but as the former has actually been involved in a close finish ansd is proven on the ground , his experience may just tilt the scales.
½ pt win Neverbeen to Paris @ 9/4
5.45 Looks another 3 horse war here with Native prospect, who is looking a bit exposed off this mark taking on Twenty Times, who continues to run well off around this mark and POnedring , who has won 2 of her last 3 and I’m with her again as she is so tough in the finish.
¼ pt win Pondering @ 4/1
6.15 Two hat-trick chasers here in Toubogaloo ,. Whose previous two wins came over this C&D and that commands more respect than The Detainee, who goes up in grade too. What a Scorcher is on a fair mark and runs well here , but on the ground, slight preference is for the back to form Becca Campbell , who looks a nice ew bet
¼ pt ew Becca Campbell @ 8/1
6.45 A wide open stayers handicap and whole the chance of the fav , Project Bluebook is clear, looks very short at around 6/4 and all of Taws, Medburn Cutler and All for the best have solid claims
7.15 This wont take much winning and the fav Zavikon looks the one , but is still a bit high in the weights. Swendabb has dropped to a very good mark and runs this C&D well. Worth a small play to return to form.
¼ pt win Swendab @ 11/1
7.45 PREMIUM RACE
8.15 PREMIUM RACE
