Just what the Doctor ordered in the 4.00

Today’s Fortune for a fiver

15p ew Lucky 15 & 25p ew acca

Ivanhoe 3.50 @ 8/1

Only Ten Per cent 4.30 @ 8/1

Keukenhof 8.00 @ 8/1

Shukhov 8.30 @ 10/1

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack

2,00 AT the weights Unforgiven Minute is certainly the one to beat especially as he is most effective over C&D, but his last win was 2 years ago and he hardly comes here in tip form. I was very keen on the chance of Show me Again last time in a Class 4 handicap and he wasn’t really given a chance ridden hard from the front. He is far better than that and if he can’t make a big impact in  this seller, he really is not worth pursuing with.

½ pt win Show me Again @ 12/1

2.30 This appears to rst between Aqualis and TRishuli Rock , who are both returning from breaks , and Casablanca, who was 5th last time out in what looked a deep maiden at Kempton and the 2nd horse won easily at Newcastle yesterday. The drop in trip looks  a smart move and looks overpriced in this.

½ pt win  Casablanca 5/2

3.00 A good quality Class 2 handicap but going through the runners ,nothing is running over optimum conditions. The bang in form Raising sand is up in the weights, trip and has a rare try on synthetics while the same can be said about the other market leader in LUsory. Banditry came back to for  at the weekend off this mark and trip but is another trying this surface for the first time.Haalan is a most reliable and talented type who has been tested by the handicapper but has a C&D win on her CV and is tough as old boots.

¼ pt ew Haalan @ 10/1

3.30 Estrella Eria goes for the C&D hat-trick but will find this much harder up in the weights and class. Unsuspected Girl goes very well here an dis a reliable soul , but her last run suggests that the handicapper may have her measure and she’s been put up a further two pounds. Best laid Plans has become very frustrating and connections aim her up in trip for a first win, but I would rather just watch her. Forecster has form which ties her in closely with Unsuspected Girl but so has East Coast lady, who’s is hard to win with, but drops in the weights and looks to have a god chance of hitting at least the frame at long odds.

¼ pt ew East Coast lady @ 18/1

4.00 A good quality Grade 3 sprint and the likely front runner is the well drawn Doctor Sardonicus who is high enough in the weights but is far from the finished article for  a stable known for star sprinters. The danger is the most consistent Hakam, who ran below par last time on turf but previously won here off admittedly a much lower mark, but this he has never failed to hit the frane on synthetics and he’ll be closing hard and fast on the tip.

3/4 pt win Doctor Sardonicus @ 6/1   ¼ pt rev F/c Doctor sardonicus – Hakam

4.30 Rock Warbler could well double up here but a 5 pound rise does demand more, This is not  a great race , and despite not having  won for some time. Only Ten Perecnt is rarely far away and runs this C&D well. Looks most solid ew.

½ pt ewOnly ten Per Cent @ 8/1

5.00 A really tricky finale with so many runners dropping to good marks over a C&D they handle. I’m passing .

No Bet

Selected Nottingham- good to soft on this flat and galloping track

2.50 Stanley got it right last time over C&D ,  but the 4 pound hit in this deeper race makes this much tougher. Tobaggan’s Fire continues to run well but the outside draw is a hindrance as it is for the most likeable Planetaria. This one always runs his race and despite the wide draw, he should be able to obtain is favoured handy pitch . He is a bit high in the weigths, but will give us a great run for our money. All of Sands Cove, Trinity Star and the dangerously well handicapped Wilde Inspiration all have good claims.

¼ pt ew Planetaria @ 8/1

3.50  This has a most winnable look to it with all of Parnell’s Dream. Pointel and velvet Revolution having  it to prove at this trip and marks, the latter looking  a most doubtful stayer. Ivanhoe has no problems with C&D and ground an dwhile he’s still a bit high in the weights, will run his race and looks a most solid ew bet.

½ pt ew Ivanhoe @ 8/1

4/20 I’d be surprised if Storm Melody doubled up off a much higher mark in a tougher race, but there are just so many here with a chance and  photo finish looks a cert. Many of these have clashed of late and it’s a credit to their consistency that they finish where they should at the weights. The likely pacemakers are the in form pair of Bahamian Sunrise and Coiste Bodhar who are drawn low to middle which may isolate those drawn high. All of John  Joiner,Flying Bear Billyoakes and pensax lad look sure to be pitching in at the finish but the nod goes to the consistent Jaarih, who is entitled to be in the mix bit is  a much bigger price.

¼ pt ew Jaarih @ 25/1

5.20 A big field for this amateur riders race and it will be disappointing is dark Amber cannot go at least close to lifting this . he is very well handicapped and has been going pretty well of late. He is partnered by one of the better jockeys in the race and it gives him a great chance of  first win for some time.

½ pt ew Dark Amber @ 11/2

Selected Fakenham – good ground on this sharp and quick track

Dundalk – all weather- polytrack

5.30 A claimer for openers and at the weigths it gives Intense Stylist a great chance, but we’ve ben saying that for 16 races now and having watched her in the finish, she is easily brushed aside and the one run over C&D was decidedly lukewarm. Palavicini Run is another with a clear chance at the weights but this one is  areal mud lover and one run here was pretty weak. Free Running comes here in fine form and his latest effort was a solid effort over C&D in a decent handicap. She has a it to find at the weights, but she knows how to win, hasn’t been with the stable that long and is far more reliable than her main two rivals .

¾ pt win Free Running @ 3/1

6.00 Not nearly enough to go on in this 2yo maiden

No Bet

6.30 Dark Alliance has very strong claims on his excellent recent 2nd over C&D, but looking through his profile, rarely runs the same race consecutively . Captain Midnight is capable over this C&D but returns after a  longer than normal break and can only be watched for that reason. IN a winnable contest, the in form Sister Slew is most effective over C&D and is partnered by one of the stronger riders in this apprentice handicap.

½ pt ew Sister Slew @ 11/1

7.00 Plenty of these 2yos run in famous colours and race for big stables and many have only had a few tries. Desert dancer is proven on C&D and stuck on well last time when taken on early. She is very well drawn and is a massive price considering that she is running to  a good level and is also effective on the surface. There are a number here who could be too good, but that is conjecture and at the odds has to be worth a decent play.

½ pt ew Desert Dancer @ 14/1

7.30 Easy taking on short priced fav Strategic Force despite a drop in grade and the weights, but wins have been thin on the ground for some time and this longer trip is far from sure to suit. This longer trip is also the problem for the well treated and  in form Mo henry while cappodocia has good claims but is another who is hard to pin down. Red All Star has run well in all his four starts this season and comes here a relatively fresh horse. Worth chancing on the surface and from a wider than ideal draw.

¼ pt ew red All Star @ 14/1

8.00 Appointment Early struck when racing in  handicap company for the first time here over a shorter trip. He did it very well and could well improve for the longer trip and the 3 pound hit could have been far harsher. Another runner to improve for this surface has been Keukenhof, who ran a lot better off this mark last time than his 5th suggests in an apprentice race. The two month break is a bit of a concern , but the stable is as usual going really well and certainly has a  strong chance in this.

½ pt ew Keukenhof @ 8/1

8.30 Redot express is a youngster who is going well over thos C&D, but track specialist Shukhov was only 4 lengths behind over C&D  a few starts back an d is a massive 7 pounds better off. The tip has since run well at a trip here short of his best and in a winnable race, is the best ew bet of the night.

¾ pt ew Shukhov @ 10/1

9.00 A usual pretty tough finale for this track with a longer than ideal short list. Most likeable veteran Shake the Bucket remains in fine form but the consistent if luckless Bobskier enjoys an 8 pound pull for only 5 lengths and which makes him a pretty good ew bet.

½ pt ew Bobskier @ 14/1

Kempton – all weather -polytrack

5.45 The very wonderful Bollihope goes for hat-trick but can be taken on as he’s up a lot in the weights , operating from a bad draw and away form his beloved Newcastle . First Summer os well drawn but just too high in  the weigths to make an impact . Pacific Salt is effective round here an comes here in good form off a feasible mark but the longer trip is the question mark, but in fairness does shape like he’ll stay, while paper Faces belongs to a top stable and thus is only her 5th ever race and looked last time out that she would relish this trip. I’m with the very wonderful estibdaad, who always gives vakue for money and has done a few long priced favours for this service over the years. He ran his usual bold and brave race laat time but went down in a blanket finish, finishing 4th,m costing yours truly  aright old wedge just for  a place . A nose ahead was the consistent Fast and Hot , who is likely to be bang there again but the tip has a good make up for a front  runner and are assured of a great run , especially with Josephine Gordon in the saddle.

½ pt ew Estibdaad @ 14/1

6.15 This race has a highly winnable look to it with doubts about many of the market leaders in terms of mark and on this surface. Hold Hands has yet to win but has run some good races off much higher marks and she races as it this longer trip will be to her advantage.

¼ pt ew Hold Hands @ 20/1

6.45 Far too many ifs ,m buts or maybes in this to make a formative decision.

No Bet

7.15 I would say that Commodity is short enough in the market on what he’s achieved and there are  a handful against him who have showed promise in  a only a few tries. I’m watching

No Bet

7.45 This race looks sure to be fought out by a pair of younger horses who both race on famous colours and for big stables,  but despite being  abit high in the weights, Owasayf could have too much toe for the well drawn Volition. Looks a good fc.

¾ pt win Owaseyf @ 9/2 ½ pt Rev F/c owaseyf- volition

8.15 Red Rannagh is now the shirt priced fav and looks the likely  winner but he’s yet to win a handicap and this mark is stiff enough. A few of his rivals have claims so it’s safe to leave alone.

No bet

8.45 Zlatan is a most improved performer on turf and will have to progress further to take this despite operating from the best draw . His only run on synthetics was poor , but he is a different horse now . Fast Spirite has been going well of late and didn’t run badly last time over C&D off tis mark and has clear claims. IN a winnable contest, I’m with Star of the Stage who is on a good mark and has no luck at all in his recent race. He’ll come on for that and is worth a nice play at long odds.

¼ pt ew Star of the Stage @ 14/1

9.15 The very wonderful Shifting Star is not well drawn but is the likely leader here. He’s back to a good mark and this trusty veteran will as usual give us a great run for our money in a most winnable contest.

¾ pt win Shifting Star @ 7/1
