Timeless Art to brush these aside

Today’s Fortune for a fiver

30p Lucky 15 & 50p acca

Irish Hawke 2.10 @ 4/1

Germany Calliing 3.10 @ 11/4

Timeless Art 4.05 @ 4/1

Captain Morley 3.55 @ 6/1

Selected Salisbury- soft ground on this galloping and stiff track

3.20 The fav is Foresight but his only run on soft ground was a 4th beaten 3 lengths off this mark, but this stiffer track may help and also this is only his 6th ever race. The form horse is certainly Pettochside who has turned in a most consistent series of runs hitting the frane in all of his 8 starts this season. He like to go with the pace and also relishes soft ground. The only unknown is the track, as most of his runs are at speed tracks such as Goodwood and Windsor. This is not  agreat contest and he has a good run on his CV at Chepstow, which is quite stiff , on soft ground.

1/2pt win Pettochside @ 5/1

3.55 You can through his field happily eliminating them on eby on eon the score of trip, form or ground and it leaves us with the lightly raced Captain Morley. He’s had a light season and has had some stiff tasks running in Group races and also Class 1 Listed events. He’ s still fairly unexposed as he’s not had many races for a 5yo . He returns from a 3 months break but has run well fresh before and the last time he encountered soft ground, he won really well.

¾ pt win Captain Morley @6/1

4.30 It’s not  agreat contest and again many can be eliminated off their marks and also over this demanding C&D. Hearty comes here on a soft ground hat-trick, but both of his wins did come in pretty soft races so has a bit to prove up in the weigths and grade while Miss Tiger Lily has been unplaced in  all 3 tries on soft ground. Ivanhoe is certainly a bit high in the weights, but come sin her in good form and also runs this C&D very well and soft ground is no problem,  Has to be right in the mix.

½ pt ew Ivanhoe @ 6/1

5.00 PREMIUM RACE

Nottingham – good ground on this flat and pretty quick track

2.00 Godolphin have the joint favs here with Commander Cole and Bouquet of Flores who are drawn together high , but this speedy five furlongs could well catch them both out. Her Term’s form compares well with Bouquet of Flores and also she has good form at this trip. She likes to race prominently so the middle draw shouldn’t; be an issue and looks a most safe ew punt.

½ ptew her terms @ 4/1

3.00 PREMIUM RACE

3.30 A most winnavle handicap and the very wonderful Lord Frankin, who has done many long odds favours for my Premium members goes for the double – double today trying to follow a 14/1 Premium tip win at hamilton and also repeating his victory in this last year. He is 4 pounds higher, which in the context of this race is not unsurmountable , but he’s been very unlucky in the draw and there are  ahost of prominent racers, which makes his task today most tough. The fav is the inform bedrock, but this front runner has also been unluck yin the draw and will have  job getting a handy pitch with all of save the bees, Compton Mill and Trulee Scrumptious better drawn and also wanting to take them along. The likely strong pace is going to bring the finishers into play and I’m with Polar Forest. He’s been dropping in the weights like a stone for some time but last time there was plenty of encouragement with a decent 5th at pontefract on firm ground. He runs this track well , has a good draw and  make up. All that was stopping me making this a members’ tip was the very poor form of trainer Richard Guest.

¼ pt ew Polar Forest @ 20/1

4.05 Master Gunner is a very well bred colt and it was only  a matter of time before he showed us what he is capable of and this came on the tapeta with a cosy and impressive all the way win.  A seven  pound rise and  a switch to turf demands more, and I’m prepared to just watch him today. The dark horse is certainly Timeless Art who was a very impressive winner in small field at Ayr where he gave them a start and just clung on for the win. The two pound rise seems fair considering that his last race developed into a bit of  a sprint and he did well to win. He returns from a 3 months break and has had the snip, which often helps. Could well be better than this mark.

¾ pt win Timeless Art @ 4/1

4.40 PREMIUM RACE

5.10  It’s quite a winnable big field handicap and there is a lot of early pace , which may not be in the favour of my suggestion, but the most likeable The Burnham Mare is well drawn and doesn’t have to lead to win and we know that she will try every inch.

¼ pt ew The Burnham Mare @ 25/1

Selected Sligo – heavy ground on this undulating and sharp track

ON heavy ground , front runners have  a tremendous record here

There are 3 who are the only front runners in the field so are worth an interst

2.05 Retour En France- but he’s a ½ shot so no play

3.05 Hellofado . ¼ pt win @ 13/2

Buckskin Boulta ¼ @ 9/2

I’ll be playing a Trixie on these 3

Bangor – good ground on this flat and sharp track

2.10 Bumble bay can only be watched returning after 4 months off racing off a higher mark and on quicker ground . I also have reservations about Domitaline switching  from fences. Tempuran has a worrying profile a he is so lightly raced nowadays while Mao Chinn Tree’s 2nd came in a weak contest and wazowski comes here on the back of  a couple pf very poor runs. This leaves us with youngster irish Hawke who won over C&D last month on good ground. He won quite easily in the end and there was a long way back to the rest of the field. He was a very decent type on the flat and had a rating of 81 which equates to about 116 over hurdles, so despite a hefty whack at the weights, if he’s retained his flat ability, he has to be of interest off only 106 .

¾ pt win  Irish Hawke @ 4/1

2.40 The best of these over hurdles was Aqalim, who reached the lofty level of 148 when trained by John  Ferguson but he did end his career with that stable on bit of  alow and he is hardly bred to jump a fence. His 3 rivals were no slouches over hurdles ,all rated in the 130’s but Net Work Rouge already has a win  over fences on his CV, and this front runner could well take some catching on this sharp track , and when he won last time, the further he went, the better his jumping became .

¾ pt win Net Work Rouge @ 11/4

3.10 It wasn;t that long ago that John Spirit was winning big races at Cheltenham off much higher marks, but he’s been winless now for almost two seasons and despite a drip in grade and the weights , I can’t be tempted over a C&D he could find on the sharp side. He does have a good racemake up as despite the small field, all of Court Dismissed, Germany Calling  and the four timer seeking What Happens Now all like to get on with it early . This trip is on the sharp side for Court Dismissed whiel What happens Now is now very high in the weights. Germany calling can go with the pace and quicken on again and this Uttoxeter specialist should be fine over today’s C&D.

3/4pt win Germany Calling @ 11/4

3.45 This shold be easy peasy for the progressive Whatsthatallbout, who is far too shirt for my money at 4/11, but if you are the brave and old type who likes buying money with a fat wedge, this is your bet of the day.

4.20 Not a  strong novice hurdle and it should go to Kalaskadesmiley, who went close to winning  last time, showing a good attitude and previously ran well over C&D with The Characater a few lengths behind. Great chance today of a first win.

½ pt win Kalskadesmilley @ 9/4

4.50 PREMIUM RACE

Selected Kempton- all weather – polytrack

5.40 A shocker of an opener, but it is a class 7 , the lowest of the low and even form runer Edith westion has the worst of the draw and is untried here while well drawn probable leader always finds a couple too good. An easy swerve as something crazy could happen

6.40 Dubai One ran most respectabaly on her debut over C&D and is well drawn to go one better. Odds against looks pretty good.

1pt win Dubai One @ 5/4

7.40 Intersting theat Godolphin take Timeless Flight back up in trip as he seemed to find it too far on debut. I’m having a small play on the overpriced outsider Doloknov whose recent runs in France give him a far better chance than the odds suggest.

¼ pt win Doloknov @ 16/1

8.10 The most admirable Charlies Mate will again run his race , but with a slight weight rise, , a deserved win looks tough. Dune Dancer is still unexposed but has to operate from the worst possible draw. Ban Shoof led them for  along way ere last time and only gave best in the final furlong. The drop in trip from a good draw makes him worth a play at fancy odds.

¼ pt ew Ban Shoof @ 20/1

8.40 Overlord looked to be going nowhere quick but picked up well in the closing stages to pip Iballisticvin close home. Both of these have recived a sizeable hit from the assessor and the latter now has to negoaciate the worst of the draw. Not far behind in that race was the lightly raced Moon Arrow, who is weighted to get revenge and also has a much better draw tonight.

½ pt win Moon Arrow @ 11/2

9.10 Front running  Bridge Builder has to over come all of a  wide draw , an bsence and alos a high mark, so all hell be doing is making the pace . Capovolaro looks sure to be in the mix, but this mark is just a bit high . Veereya ran much better last time  and has been blessed with a good draw . He’s ran well here before off higher marks and is the best bet of the night.

½ pt ew Veeraya @ 10/1
