Nothing worth playing at Leicester except for the finale which is for Members only.
Selected Sandown – very soft ground on this stiff and galloping track
2.30 Bonne Question got it right good style last time at Ffos Las, but it did come right out of the blue. He’s a very lightly raced sort in recent years and you have to have doubts about him reproducing the form, especially under a penalty . Bang On has disappointed of late, but the drop in trip and softer ground could help, but I couldn’t bank on it . The veteran Kastani Beach runs in this race for the 7th time , and has come out with a win, 5 seconds and a flop, and had showed very little encouragement this season until last time out when sluicing home on the Lingfield mud by 20 lenghts, but the race did fall apart as it was run at a very strong pace and he was well ridden coming off the pace. He’s 9 pounds higher but still well in on old form, but he is now a 13yo ! considering his amazing record here has to be the play.
1/4pt ew Kastani beach @ 9/1
3.05 PREMIUM RACE
3.40 A highly competitive grand Military Gold Cup and all the jockeys are servicemen and plenty of the riders have experience in this event. The very likeable Carlos De fruter did it very well over C&d last time on similar ground and under a capable rider , he’s sure to run his race and go very close at least ! Le Reve bounced back to form last time at Lingfield, but it was on bottomless ground and at a marathon distance, so down in trip, could struggle.
3/4pts Win carlos de fruter @ 5/2
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Lingfield- all weather- polytrack
2.10 The in form Divine Messenger is the likely pacesetter and certainly the likely winner, but is odds on.
2.40 Taverner has had a very hectic programme of late, but is still running below par. He’s well drawn to try and make all, but he’s looking easy to take on. This looks all about the in form pair of Violet’s Lad and Rivas Rob Roy, but neither have a good win record.
3.15 This looks at the mercy of thein form Warriors Valley , who is likely to make all despite being a bit high in the weights. He’s only even money, but if you look for solid bets around these odds, this is your bet of the day.
4.20 Both Affluence and Foxrush take Time are consistent but are so hard to win with being hold up types. The veteran outlaw Torn has run well the last twice and is likely to be front rank and could make a belated return to the winner’s circle.
1/4pt ew Outlaw Torn @ 9/1
Selected Newcastle – all weather- tapeta. The track is stiff and galloping
5.55 It’s a weak affair and looks good for the short priced fav Klopp, who runs this C&d very well. Only worry is that she is a hold up type, and so are her rivals, so the jockey will have to ride well to get the 6/4 fav home.
6.30 Fair Cop returns from an 18 months absence , but is on a fair mark. With the absence and also having no experience on the surface, not hard to prefer track regular Another Angel, who is likely to make all.
½ pt double Klopp 6/4 Another Angel @ 7/4
7.00 There has been a lot of support for the well treated La cumparsita having her first run for a stable with the knack of doing well with new inmates, but I’d rather look elsewhere. Lukoutoldmakezebak goes very well here and did well on a recent comeback spin but preference is for the lightly race Don’t Be Surprised whose C&D form stacks up well here.
1/4pt Win Don’t Be Surprised @ 2/1
7.30 After a promising start to her career, Good tyne girl has taken plenty of backward steps, but did much better last time at Wolver indicating this longer trip will suit.
1/4pt Win Good tyne Girl @ 7/2
8.00 Another weak affair and offers a clear chance to track regular, star Cracker to notch a rare win.
1/4pt Win Star cracker @ 15/8
Selected Dundalk- all weather – polytrack
5.15 A very tight sprint handicap but a recent event here saw all of plough Boy, hee Haw, Eastern Racer and Ty rock brandy finishing in a heap just behind the winner. There wont be much between them again, but the weights favour plough Boy to come out on top again. The back to form veteran Togovile is not for me down in trip racing from the worst of the draw.
1/4pt win Plough Boy @9/2
6.15 PREMIUM RACE
7.45 Park Row won last time over C&D in determine style, but I prefer a play on Moonmeister who was just behind and has a nice pull In the weights. Chaparel dream goes for the C&D hat-trick and was awesome last time , but has been given a massive 15 pound penalty. The back to form sheisduesel is also chasing a hat-trick, but a bit to prove at the longer trip and the same reservation applies to alhajjaj.
1/4pt ew Moonmeister @ 10/1
8.15 Spanish dawn has been holding his form very well over c&d, despite the testing mark, but has strong claims in a weak heat.
1/2pt Win Spanish Dawn @ 11/4
8.45 A stiffer task for recent winner New Vocation under a penalty in another race where few catch the eye. Yarraman made a right fist of it here last time trying to make all but in the end finished a good 2nd. He also has a good recent 2nd over hurdles, again when front running and I’m with him to shed his maiden tag with a deserved win, probably all the way.
1/2pt Win Yarraman @4/1
