Aintree- good to soft on this flat and galloping track- speed track
1.45 PREMIUM RACE
2.20 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 A Grade 1 chase and Clan Des Obeaux, who was the beaten fav in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, comes here with high hopes as this C&d will really suit this smooth traveller, but with all horses who ran at Cheltenham. How much did it take out of him, as he had a hard race , and this could be one rce too many, looking at profile. Willie Mullins Kemboy is 2 from 2 at this trip, but was a very early faller at Cheltenham, so comes here a fresh horse. He was massively impressive winning at Leopardstown, so should relish this C&D. Bristol Du Mai is a tough and talented Chaser, who ran his usual great race when 3rd in the Cheltenham Gold Cup . He’s run well in this race before and as log as his Cheltenham exertions have not taken too much out of him. Nice bet at the odds.
1/4pts Win Bristol Du Mai @ 9/2
3.25 The Aintree Grade 1 hurdle and it looks very much at the mercy of dual Champion hurdle winner Buveur D’Air, who took an early fall in this year’s Premier hurdle event, so comes here a fresh horse and as he won this a few years ago, without breaking sweat, looks a rock solid shortie .The drop in trip wont help former Champion Hurdler Faugheen, while the usually reliable Supersundae, blotted is copybook last time at Cheltenham, finishing a tired looking horse.
¾ pt win Buveir D’Air @ 10/11
4.05 The Foxhunter Chase and the fav is the incredibly progressive Road To Rome, who joined the Tom O’shea stable just an Ok type, rated 105, but since then he’s won 7 from 8 , and ran an absolute cracker at Cheltenham, only to be outstayed by another prolific type in Hazel hill, coming 4th, but only tiring late on over that extended trip. He’s a no nonsense bold jumping front runner and while inexperience over these unique fences is a concern, he turned in a career best run at Haydock, where the fences are arguably the stiffest in the country. He did have a hard race at Cheltenham, but he stable are well happy he has fully recovered and he’s partnered again by Sam waley- Cohen , and nobody has ridden more winners than him over the National fences. Expecting an all the way win.
¾ pt win Road to Rome @ 10/3

Selected Southwell- all weather- fibresand
1.55 Sylviacliffs won over C&D a few starts ago , and has hardly been disgraced since , again here, but over an extra furlong. She’s only a pound higher for that win and I’d be a lot more confident if it wasn’t for her wide draw, and a new jockey, but in fairness, Ben Curtis does ride this track well.
½ pt win Sylviacliffs @ 11/2
3.00 Warriors Valley firmly has the bit between his teeth and after landing a good win over C&D, he has held his form really well with an excellent 2nd on polytrack, not his best surface. When successful here last time, he had both Eternal sun and Miningold close up, and it’s gong to be close again, but at the odds, the tip has to be the play.
1/4pt Win Miningold @ 6/1
3.35 the front running Marble Bar was a costly failure here yesterday and surely has to be vulnerable again. Cross Fire bounced back to form last time, but has a stiff penalty which gives the reliable Gentleman bright hopes as he was narrowly beaten by Cross fire, and enjoys a hefty pull in the weights.
½ pt win Gentlemen @ 6/1
4.15 Socialites Red comes here on the back of a good win over C&D, but he 5 pound it makes things tougher. Jazz Legend is another C&D winner in fine form, but I’ll be swerving this tricky contest.
4.50 despite this being low grade, hard to fancy many.the veteran Coiste Bodhar could run round here blindfold and has dropped to a handy mark. He drops in trip , but wasn’t far away over C&d a few runs ago and is likely to try and make all for a rare win.
1/4pt Ew Coiste Bodhar @ 11/1
5.30 A coule of big stables here have runners in Smarter and Victotiano, whose form in not enticing and both go up massively in trip and try this surface for the firs time. Bonneville ticks plenty of boxes. He’s in form and stays on the same mark. He has run well on this surface and also at this trip. He’s yet to win but great chance of this being his big day.
½ pt win Bonneville @ 7/2
Selected Taunton- good ground on this flat and sharp track
2.05 A weak opener and offers a great opportunity for the luckless Micras, to finally nail one. He’s not ungenuine, just so one-paced in the finish and as the fav Veiled Secret is down in the trip. I have the faith.
1/2pt win Micras @ 4/1
3.10 not a deep race but lsst time Exeter winner Eur Gone west has a heft penalty, and could find things happening quick enough on faster ground and a sharp track. Muthsbir is a capable sort with a C&D win on his cv. This wont take much winning.
1/2pt Win Muthabir @ 7/1
3.50 Another event that wont take much winning as the fav Capitaine has a bit to prove off his mark and this longer trip.Youngster At Its Own expense won well over C&D last time and the quality if the gives bright hopes he can double up in a winnable race.
½ pt win At Its Own Expense @ 11/4
4.25 The longer trip is the issue with All to Good while drying ground is not ideal for track specialist Triple Chief, but on a good mark and an improved effort last time, worth a play.
¼ pt win triple Chief @ 5/2
Chelmsford City- all weather- polytrack
6.00 Looks a two horse war between the even money joint favs in Diamond Oasis and Yimkin and it looks an absolute toss up.
6.30 The very wonderful Lionhearted exploited a very low handicap mark rattling off a five timer, but didn’t act on the Southwell fibresand last time and trailed in well beaten. His previous win , off a 6 pound lower mark was quite a close call, so despite being the likely leader in this, the handicapper could well be in charge now. Samphire Coast is an in form and reliable type but preference is for the well treated Come On Tier, as his best form makes a mockery of his odds.
1/4pt Win Come On Tier @ 11/1
7.00 We are running out of superlatives regarding executive Force, who took some time to get his nose In front but comes here with 6 wins and a good 2nd in his last 7 . This is not a huge ask and despite a career high mark, another win looks likely.
3/4pts Win Executive Force @ 9/4
7.30 Arlecchino’s Leap won well over C&d last time, but very much had the run of the race , which will be hard to replicate from a poor draw. As Blyton Lass is looking hard to win with, preference is for the capable and well drawn Sharp Operator and Richard Kingscote knows him well . Switch from tapeta no issue.
1/4pt Win sharp Operator @ 9/2
8,00 No shortage of early pace and the revitalised drakefell, who impressed last time, has been desperately unlucky in the draw , and with other Better drawn front runners in the field, would do very well to get close. Veteran Bosham is all about speed but no hard seeking him bombing out but he hasn’t been running well of late. the well drawn Your Cool is another prominent racer, but does stick on well , so could be the best of the front rank brigade . Captain Lars holds his form really well, he’s well enough drawn and will be suited to coming off the strong pace and gets the nod with Oisin Murphy aboard.
¼ pt win Captain Lars @ 5/1
8.30 The consistent Top Rock Talula ticks plenty of boxes , and can stay on for a deserved win.
1/4pt Win Top Rock Talula @ 5/2
