Magical Molly joe 6.15 @ 7/2
Final Attack 8.15 @ 11/1
Selected Newmarket- good to firm ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track
1.15 PREMIUM RACE
1.50 The first task in all big field sprints is to identify where the early pace will come from, but it’s not clear in this with no confirmed front runner, but a few of these have at times raced prominently. One of these is the capable Green power, who comes here on the back of a solid 4th of 17 at Donny, only beaten a length and keeping on well, so this stiffer track should help. I hope Ryan Moore has done his homework and if leading up from the wide draw, could take some reeling in.
½ pt win Green Power @ 6/1
2.25 PREMIUM RACE
3.00 A listed event and the short priced fav is the Aidan O’brien colt Western Australia , who is clearly the one to beat at the ratings, but has only once run close to his mark of 110, and that was on soft ground and he should have done better on his comeback race on the all weather. The filly I’ll have another was mightily consistent last year with 3 wins and 5 places from her 8 starts. She is value for her mark of 99 and went close here a few times last year. She is a massive price in a winnable race and SDS rides. Walkinthesand didn’t come cheap and looked good winning on his 2nd start, but it was just A class 3 maiden and a 4 horse race.
½ pt ew I’ll Have Another @ 20/1
3.35 The group 3 nell Gwynee Stakes for 3yo filies and the fav is the highest rated filly in main edition but this front runner is sure to have unwanted company early and prepared to take her on. The progressive Mot juste landed a group 3 over C&d last year, just getting the better of Angels Hideaway and Sunday Star , and at the weights Angels Hideaway should come out on top , but you just couldn’t be failed to be impressed by Mot juste’s resolution in the finish and she’ll do for me.
½ pt win Mon Juste @ 9/2
5.20 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Exeter- good ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track
2.05 The drop in trip and the drying ground could catch out he fav Blackjack Kenrucky, and I’d rather concentrate on Ask Dilon, dolphin square and Boldmere, bur despite having a bit to find at the weights, the drying ground and trip could suit the latter the best.
¼ pt win Boldmere @ 6/1
2.40 Hattaab stepped up considerably on his firsr start for Henry oliver , but dos go up in grade and this is a very different track from Southwell.Yiu can find a reason for backing all of the rest, but I’m with veteran Here’s Herbie, who comes here in decent for, he likes the ground and has two C&d wins on his Cv.
1/2 pt ew Here’s Herbie @ 14/1
3.50 A marathon chase, and despite being hard to win with nowadays, dancing shadow has a good record here and drying ground us fine, as is the trip.
½ pt ew Dancing Shadow @ 8/1
Selected Wolver- all weather- tapeta
5,45 This is fiercely competitive with Gabrial’s Kaka, the poorly drawn aqua libre, Amor Fati, stand N Deliver and Arrowzone all effective over C&d and all generally in good shape. Arrowzone gas dropped back to good mark and workable grade, and is very much overpriced for his chance.
¼ pt ew Arrowzone @ 25/1
6.15 This is much less competitive and a tough task for hat-trick seeking Mystical moon, who I tipped up to win here last time at 14/1, but is up in trip, the ratings and not well drawn. Blue rocks has plummeted in the weights, and is well drawn for a front runner, but still hard to fancy , finshing way out of the back in all recent runs, but is one of a few who will be at the head of proceedings and the ecent pace gives a decent opportunity for the well drawn and capable Magical Molly Joe, whose last win came over C&D off just a pound lower and I like the look of in form jockey PJ Mcdonald in the saddle.
¾ pt win Magical Molly joe @ 7/2
7.15 A good quality Class 3 sprint , and at the weights, the useful Kyllang rock has as least an 8 pound buffer, which is 4 lengths, but not as easy as that. He returns after almost a year off and that win came in the Beverley mud. It’s his first try ever on synthetics and from a tricky draw , happy to look elsewhere. A good pace is on the cards with the spritely but outclassed pair of just that Lord and reflector sure to go off hard, which gives a decent chance to the back to form veteran tropics, who is now an 11yo, but well worth his rating of 104. He will be chasing the pace from his good draw and sees this C&D out really well.
¼ pt ew Tropics @ 7/1
8.15 A most winnable finale , but there could be a false pace with no recognised front runner. Final attack is a regular over C&D , and has gone close a few times of late off around this mark. He is usually held up, which wont be ideal off what promises to be a steadily run event, but the last time Gabriel Malone rode the tip from a good draw, he rode him prominently and only failed by a length off a slightly higher mark. Looks a nice bet at the odds.
½ pt ew Final Attack @ 11/1
