Rene’s girl 2.40 @ 7/2
Dingo Dollar 5.00 @ 5/2
Wentworth Falls 4.35 @ 10/3
Chapelli 1.50 @ 9/2
Selected Newmarket- good to firm on this undulating, stiff and galloping track
1.50 Chapelli won her first two last year but was then set some stiff tasks in Group and listed company, but often ran well. She recently resumed to action with an excellent effort at Ponty on similar ground and mark. She was only run out of it late by a strong stayer and this C&d is not as severe. She tracked the pace that day before going for Glory and big race jockey James Doyle keeps the ride.
¾ pt win Chapelli @ 9/2
2.25 The Wood Ditton stakes, a race for unraced 3yos , and in the past has introduced some smart ones. Plenty of confidence in Roger Varian’s UAE jewel, but at 5/4, happy to watch.
3.00 The Group 3 Abernant stakes and the one to beat at the weights is classy sprinter Brando, who’s won first time out for the last 3 seasons, including this race twice. Despite some stiff competition , the win looks on.
¾ pt win Brando @ 11/8
3.35 the group 3 craven Stakes and the fav is the one with the best form in Godolphin’s Royal Marine , who landed a group 1 in France last year before flopping in quite a minor race at Meydan on dirt . There are a number of unexposed an unbeaten colts in this running for to stables and in famous colours. I made a note of skardu last year when he wo on debut here in a fast ground maiden when he was held up at the back of he field and when asked for his effort , stormed past them impressively . The longer trip should be no problem and if taking this is one for even bigger asks.
¼ pt win Skardu @ 5/1
4.10 Handmaiden proved very costly last year, a beaten fav a number of times and with some big stables having interesting newcomers, looks a good race to swerve.
4.45 An interesting contest with so many lightly raced 3yos in good form for top stables. El Misk impressed winning on debut at Newcastle, but as the top stable has him entered for The Dante and Derby, worth a dabble .
¼ pt win El Misk @ 11/4
Cheltenham- good ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track
2.05 Not much between 5 of the 7 on the ratings, but Cotswold Bay has a few pounds advantage and is also proven on the ground and this type of track. It’s a first run going left handed, but the top stable has plenty of success here.
½ pt win Cotswold Bay @ 3/1
2.40 There will be no hanging about in this with both imperial Presence and Wenyereadyfreddie and probably highway One o one all wanting to dominate from flagfall, but this can only compromise their chances. Rene’s girl has had a light season and is usually kept to speed have tracks, but looked to have things under control until an unlucky last fence fall. Compensation awaits.
¾ pt win Rene’s Girl @ 7/2
3.15 PREMIUM RACE
3.45 PREMIUM RACE
4.25 Thomas Campbell has not hit the heights of 2 years ago when he landed a double over C&d and has finally dropped down to below his last winning mark. He should have done better at Exeter last time, but he’s on his best ground, ridden by a most able 7 pound claimer and first run since his wind op.
¼ pt win Thomas Campbell @ 6/1
5.00 This is not a deep contest and could well be a deserved win for the consistent Dingo Dollar , who could well make all as he almost achieved last time, where fellow front runner Rocky’s Treasure ,couldn’t stay with him .
¾ pt win Dingo Dollar @ 5/2
5.30 a big field, but few can be fancied. Last year’s winner Magic dancer has been in fine form of late, but he has been nudged up the weights, but still looks the likeliest.
¼ pt win Magic Dancer @ 7/2
Selected Beverley- good to firm on this stiff track
4.00 This is a red hot 3yo handicap and the short list is long. All of the in form trio of Attainment, Oloroso and Pacino have a bit to prove on quick turf while City Tour won well at Musselburgh with lightning attack just behind, and the way that one was finishing, could relish this uphill finish.
¼ pt ew Lightning Attack @ 7/1
4.35 NO hanging about in this sprint with Billy Dylan, Watchable and Airshow all known for trying to lead all the way, but it’s tough winning here from the front at the best of times, never mind a frantic competition for the lead. Airshow is the fav , but besides a poor race make up, also drops in trip, so could be chasing shadows from flagfall. Wentworth Falls is a terrific sprinter, but wins are hard to come by as he’s o consistent, the handicapper wont drop him. He goes well fresh and on quick ground and the drop in trip could help with the strong pace and uphill finish to help this late player.
¾ pt win Wentworth Falls @ 10/3
5.10 Archive has no penalty after winning at Ponty last time out so has to be a contender, despite that being a deep race . The veteran Be Perfect is quite a decent front runner on his day and has dropped to a really good mark after a couple of tame runs on the all weather. He’s well drawn to take these along and has won over C&d on quick turf. Today may come a bit soon for him, but in a winnable contest , has to be worth a dabble.
¼ pt ew Be Perfect @ 14/1
Selected Dundalk- all weather- poytrack
5.45 The Aidan O’brien newcomer king Neptune is the odds on fav which makes the 2nd fav, Yesterdayoncemore an attractive bet at the odds. He was well backed here on debut and lost little in defeat.
½ pt win Yesterdayoncemore @ 9/4
6.45 At the weights , it’s close between Hathiq and Kasbah, but hathiq showed little returning from a long break last time, and is unlikely to still be up to his rating of 77. Kasbah holds his form well, but has a shocking win record, his last win being over 2 years ago, so not an attractive prospect for those considering ploughing in at odds on . Both the front running Ar Saoirse and your Pal tal are reliable regulars over C&d , but both rated a stone behind the fav, but I’m chancing the latter who doesn’t have to lead to go well.
¼ pt ew Your Pal Tal @ 8/1
7.15 Fivehundredmiles comes here on the back of two solid runs over C&D off similar marks, but just a small play with his poor win record .
¼ p win Fivehundredmiles @ 9/2
8.45 Plenty of these finished in a heap over C&d recently , and hard to pick between Sharjah,. Mistiness, Miss louise and Dayereh on that form line. Rockfish ran well over C&d last time in a better race and could be the solution here.
¼ pt ew Rockfish @ 6/1

Selected Southwell- all weather – fibresand
6.00 PREMIUM RACE
6.30 This is massively competitive and the fav, casement would do well to win again with a hefty penalty and a first try on fibresand. It’s easy giving to chances to practically all of his rivals and happy to watch.
7.00 The very wonderful Warriors Valley, 2 wins and 3 seconds in his last 5 goes very well here , but was comfortably beaten by another track specialist in Miningold last time, but at today’s weights, uncertain who’ll come out on top. All of the others have decent claims and another race happy to swerve. Too much guesswork.
7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.30 Gunnabedun won well over C&D last time and despite that not being much of a race, could be ahead of the game here .Champagne Mondays runs this C&D well and the quality of his form slightly superior.
¼ pt ew Champagne Mondays @ 4/1
No Southwell placepot
