Today’s Fortune for a fiver
6 50p doubles , 4 25p trebles & £1 acca
Miss Amelia 2.00 @ 7/2
Manoftemoment 3.45 @ 9/4
Fair loch 3.20 @ 4/1
Sunrise Ruby 4.15 @ 8/11
Selected Huntingdon- good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.10 Not a deep race and looks a match between the Ex- Irish cesar Du Gouet , who has her first run for Ollie Murphy, who has a splendid record with new intakes, but preference for last time winner Sid hoodie, who won quite cosily.
¼ pt win Sid Hoodie @ 3/1
2.45 Kahalesi ran well returning from a lengthy break last time, but hard to know what to expect 2nd race back, and does have the profile of a bouncer. Cock A doodle Do is very hard to win with and the ,longer trip looks a move of desperation. This looks a match between Lakeside Park and Talkingpictuestv , who are hard to split. Fc time.
¼ pt rev fc Lakeside Pearl- TalkingpicturesTv
3.20 The veteran Fair Loch took advantage of a declining mark last time and reverting to front running tactics , made all impressively . Good chance of the double on still a very fair mark on even recent form.
¾ pt win Fair loch @ 4/1
3.55 This has a winnable look to it and the drop in trip could well help the well treated Bucaneros, who’s been going Ok of late.
¼ pt ew bucaneros @ 7/1
Selected Chester- good to soft on this flat and sharp track. Low numbers in the draw and prominent racers have an edge.
1.50 Understandable that Copper knight is a strong fav, having the best of the draw, is a C&D winner twice, will like the ground and also ran well on his comeback spin, but at the odds preference is for the back to form Relektor, who is also a C&D winner, but is the likely front runner and despite a wider draw than ideal, could get his own way up front.
½ pt win Reflektor @ 13/2
2,25 The Aidan O’Brien trained Circus Maximius has the best form and has a Derby entry , and this is not a stiff examination, but prefer to chance Fox Chairman, who was impressive winning on soft ground, and te form has already been franked, A lot to find, but is unexposed.
¼ pt win Fox Chairman @ 10/3
3.00 The well drawn runners are hardly screaming to be backed so chancing the consistent and capable Spirit Warning, despite a wide draw, but is a prominent racer and hoping Oisin Murphy can secure a good early pitch.
¼ pt win Spirit Warning @ 9/1
3.35 Kew Gardens is most classy type, winning last year’s St Leger and ran very well in the Arc. He took some time to get into his stride last year, so could be vulnerable. Magic Circle won his first two last year , including the Chester Cup, but can’t take much racing and flopped badly in the Melbourne Cup. Morando ended last season on a high and could get the run of the race from the front.
¼ pt win Morando @ 4/1
4.05 PREMIUM RACE
4.35 PREMIUM RACE
5.05 A wide open finale but happy to play a longshot in the well treated dual C&d winner Empress Ali, who is well drawn, comes to hand early and likes the ground.
¼ pt ew Empress Ali @ 25/1
Selected Worcester- good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.00 Johnny Yuma has made up for lost time and comes here on a hat-trick, but a 16 pound penalty will take a deal of overcoming. Miss Amelia wont have a better chance.
¾ pt win Miss Amelia @ 7/2
2.35 Looks a match between the inform Magic River and the down in grade Court Duty , and just give the nod to the latter at the weights.
¼ pt win Court Duty @ 5/2
3.10 PREMIUM RACE
3.45 Manofthemoment certainly has the bit between his teeth and tis bold front runner comes here on a hat-trick, and despite the 7 pound hit., this is not deep , and looks good for the hat-trick.
¾ pt win Manofthemoment @ 9/4
4.15 Should be a breeze for Sunrise Ruby and if you like to stick on solid odds on shots, this is your bet of the day.
4.45 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Wincanton- good to firm ground on this flat and galloping track
Had a few moans of late that I haven’t tipped up in as many races as usual, but not getting lazy, it’s just so many races where the runners are much of a muchness and frequently in mediocre form. No point guessing .
5.15 Petite Jack is a very useful polytrack flat horse with a rating on that surface of a very lofty 10, but so far hurdles efforts most moderate, so prefer to look elsewhere. Hard to pick between the in form pair of Hattaab and Mercers Troop. Fc time.
¼ pt rev fc Hattaab – Mercers Troop
6.20 This is very weak and offers a great opportunity for Willyegolassiego, who is rarely far away , but wins hard to come by. Hopefully Tom Scu can coax her home, as she probably only has herself to beat.
½ pt win Willyegolassiego @ 3/1
6.50 All of space Oddity , show on the Road , pointed and Sharp and Percy Street have the ability to land this with trip, and ground no issue, but none are known for tenacity in the finish. Slight preference for the latter.
¼ pt win Percy Street @ 4/1
Selected Chelmsford City – all weather- polytrack
5.30 despite the big field , few with a chance. The short priced fav is Daring Venture , whose debut run would be good enough to land this, but not for me at short odds. Seraphin has run OK In both of her tries, and not badly drawn to get involved.
¼ pt ew Seraphim @ 10/1
6.00 The prolific Maksub comes here on the back of an impressive win but this dual C&D winner has a 10 pound penalty in a far deeper race and would do well to feature. Chances have to be given to all of Raucous, Victory wave , Masham Star and Breathless Times, but just favour the latter at the odds ,as things just didn’t pan out for him last time in an apprentices race.
¼ pt win Breathless Times @ 11/2
6.30 Another tricky event with many of these 3yos lightly raced, with big stables and wearing famous colours. On balance I’m with the longshot Sonja Henie, whose best form gives her a better chance then her odds suggest. She likes to front run , which wont be a smart idea in this with two others who get busy early, but like the booking of Atzeni and first time hood.
¼ pt ew Sonja Henie @ 16/1
7.00 Yet another tricky good quality event and hard to pick between boerhan , Travel on and Ritchie Valens. The former two both come here after fair runs in much higher grade, but arguably the tip has the best form on the surface.
¼ pt win Ritchie Valens @ 9/2
7.30 Weekender took this last year and a return to that form will be well good enough, but ran flat on his comeback race and with doubts about danehill kodiac, could open the door for Higher Power, bur he’s on a long losing run ???
8.30 Both Our Oystercatcher and Global academy are going to go off like the clappers, and the former is going to find it very tough staying there in this grade and a bad draw, but Global Academy is not out of this. The fav is Zamjar, who has the best of the draw, in form, but has ben nudged up 2 pounds , which could count for plenty in a tight heat. Poyle Vinnie always goes well here and won over C&D two starts back, but couldn’t back it up next time. When successful he had Equmou just behind and on revised weights and a better draw , could land this at juicy odds.
¼ pt ew Equmou @ 10/1
Chelmsford City placepot
