3.00 A group 2 sprint for older horses and there’ll be no hanging around with Hey Jonesy and Major jumbo sure to go on and expect a prominent sit from Ornate. The very wonderful El astronaut now has to rub shoulders in testing company, but this determined front runner goes up in trip, so may not go hell for leather today, The useful Brando just comes out best at the weights, but nowadays he’s more of a placer than a winner, and this track may well not be ideal. Invincible Army also has a good chance at the weights and returned to his best last time after a couple pf poor runs last year. If he can back that up second time after a break is the question. Limato seems to have been around foreverand returned to his best last year with a hat-trick, but does have a penalty and could be short of pace over this C&D on the fast ground. Both Projection and Yafta have clear claims but in a tough race to solve, I’m with Major Jumbo , who’s been going very well of late and can be front rank and see it out the best under Jamie spencer, who rides him very well .
¼ pt ew Major Jumbo @ 9/1
3.35 A Group 3 for 3yo flies and the majority of these have a lot to find, but are lightly raced , with big stables, well bred and sport famous colours, but I stull can’t get away from Sand Share, who was an excellent 3rd last year in a Group 2 and also ran her race in France in a Group 3. She is bred for this longer trip, but what is off putting is that she wears the owner’s second colours , and has no fancy entries, but still looks a nice bet .
¼ pt win sand Share @ 5/1

5.05 I was with the consistent Benadlid last time but could only manage 4th behind Starcaster, who has a harsh 4pound penalty for just coming 2nd and Desert Ruler. He may have needed that race and with most of these hard to fancy, is well drawn to get an ideal handy pitch and shouldn’t be far away.
¼ pt ew Benadlid @ 11/1
No York placepot
Selected Yarmouth – good ground on this flat and galloping track
3.10 Velvet Vision comes here on the back of two good efforts at this trip and represents decent ew value.
¼ pt ew Velvet Vision @ 7/1
No Yarmouth placepot
Selected Newton Abbot- good ground on this flat and sharp track.
2.10 PREMIUM RACE
2.45 Enjoy Responsibly hasn’t won for a while , but has a rare pop in Class 4 and this sharp C&D could make him hard to catch from the front.
¼ pt win Enjoy Responsibly @ 5/1
3.20 Iniesta usually runs well here and landed an overdue win last time here over fences for the first time. He’s only up 3 pounds but does go up in trip considerably and stamina has to be a concern. Jot En down stepped up considerably winning at around this trip first time on quick ground, but only 2 finished, but he still looked good and could be up to the 6 pound hit. Taafes Castle stepped up considerably handicapping for the first time when a close 2nd at Warwick. The switch to fences is a positive for this young point winner.
½ pt win Taafes Castle @ 5/2
3.55 It’s hard to see the drying ground being any use to Dolphin Square or Nativegetaway, so the lightly raced Igor, whose first run was a good effort and it came on similar ground for the top stable , but only even money.
4.25 Phoebus Lescribaa put in a much improved run at Warwick winning well and has no penalty, but hard to know what to expect today given her profile. Eric The third simply took off last year with 5 wins and 3 seconds in 8 runs, all on good ground but at a variety of trips and a mix of hurdles and fences. His exertions finally told with a tired run back in November , but in such a winnable race, worth a dabble gambling on his fitness.
1/2 pt win Eric The Third @ 12/1
Newton abbot placepot
Selected Bath- firm ground on this sharp but stiff track
5.55 Mooroverthebridge was a bit unlucky last time at Windsor and a return to this C&s can see her back in the Winner’s Circle.
1/2 pt win Mooroverthebridge @ 6/1
6.25 Most of these are happier on the all weather, so firm turf a big problem. The quicker ground is in the favour of the capable Enchanted Linda and solid chance in a race where few are dangerous.
½ pt win Enchanted Linda @ 9/2
6.55 The clear form horse is Great Bear but carries a penalty and form ground a concern. This wont take much winning and the Mark Johnston trained Stone Cougar , is closely related to some good stayers and like her chance of springing a shock .
1/2pt win Stone Cougar @ 18/1
7.25 The drop in trip can’t help the back to form Francophilia and this looks to concern Simibirsk and Champs De Reves, who fought out a close finish over C&D last time on similar ground, but the latter does have a nice pull in the weights.
¼ pt win Champs De Reves @ 11/4
7.55 Gendarme won well here last time but does have a stiff penalty and it looked as far as he wanted to go, so the extra yardage a concern. Millie May has 5 lengths to make up from that race , but not impossible at all with the weight pull and extra yardage probably in her favour .
¼ pt ew Millie May @ 11/1
8.25 Lippy Lady has been going pretty well on the all weather off around this mark and trip. She ran well enough last year proving she acts on the track and not inconvenienced by fast ground.
¼ pt ew Lippy Lady @ 8/1
Selected Perth- good ground on this flat and quick track
6.05 skiddaw Valleys is in good form and is effective over C&D, but both I’m Wiser now and Lake Baikal could be troublesome, so at even money , happy to watch.
6.35 Im Too Generous has impressed winning his last two, but both were over longer trips and over hurdles. He’s not short of pace and in a modest contest is attractively priced .
½ pt win Im Too Generous @ 9/4
7.35 The Boola Bee was an easy winner last time, first attempt at around this trip and has no penalty. The Nigel Hawke stable brings him on a 900 mile round trip, but is odds on .
8.05 Nigel Hawke’s other runner, Farmer Boy is only young and lightly raced and comes here on the back of a good win at Musselburgh and the penalty could have been harsher . Could be ahead of the game.
¼ pt win Farmer Boy @ 5/1
8.35 Mo Mercurim is useful in this Hunter Chase Grade and frequently runs to his lofty mark of 129, doing so last time when a winner here over C&D. Looks good, but is odds on.
