Selected Lingfield- good to firm on this undulating and sharp track
1.40 Seaborn sluiced in at Brighton on quick ground returning from a long break , and that form gives him strong claims in a weak heat, but will he bounce? That is the term when a long time absentee runs really will first time back, but then most badly on subsequent runs. Givepeaceachance also has a bit to prove as both of her recent seconds were on the all weather. The return to tis trip is very much in Francophilia’s favour, but this easy track may not, but looks the likely victor.
½ pt win Francophilia @ 5/2
2.15 Four of these come into this under a cloud and only Hollywood Road and Lawn Ranger are form horses. The latter is usually campaigned on the all weather but handled quick turf very well last time at Windsor and the longer trip no issue. Likely to be front rank throughout , he can make light of the 3 pound hit.
1/2pt Win Lawn Ranger @ 2/1
2.50 This is extremely weak and despite being on a long losing run, a great chance for Earthly who recent effort at Salisbury at this trip and ground is the stand out piece of form in this.
¼ pt win Earthly @ 9/2
4.35 PREMIUM RACE
5.10 plenty of front runners which could set this up for the strong staying Entharr, drawn well for a late charge on the Golden Highway here on the ralls.
¼ pt win entharr @ 11/2
Selected Chepstow- good to firm ground on this undulating, galloping and quite stiff track
1.50 This looks a good opening for the down in grade Ocala, but around even money not attractive.
4.10 few of these are running well enough to be considered , the exceptions are the consistent Fire Diamond, but he’s up in trip and more at home on tapeta, and the back to form The lords walk, who was gifted a fast ground Leicester handicap in the Stewards Room and did well last time off thus new mark when 4th on unsuitable soft ground. Looks sure to run his race.
½ pt win The Lords Walk @ 9/2
5.20 winged Spur bounced back to form last time with an excellent 3rd of 17 at this trip at York , coming from a mile back, but her profile is not one to support at short odds and not a good ride for a 7 pound claimer. General Brook has a good record here with 2 C&D wins. He’s a prominent racer who could get his own way up front and could take some reeling in.
¼ pt win General Brook @ 4/1
Selected Goodwood- good to form ground on this undulating, sharp and tricky track
2.35 Game Player won with ease last time and the 2nd horse has won well since, but this really should be Love dreams’ day as he’s well drawn to take a handy pitch at a track he runs very well , and won this last year off a 5 pound higher mark.
½ pt win Love Dreams @ 2/1
3.10 This looks very winnable , and despite now being on a very testing mark, the excellent Hyanna doesn’t know how to run a bad race and will do for me.
¼ pt win Hyanna @ 9/2
3.45 PREMIUM RACE
4.20 A Listed race for fillies and should be a win for Shambolic who brings the best form to the race and no issues with the trip, which can’t be said about the joint top rated and stable companion Muchly.
½ pt win Shambolic @ 7/4
Selected Chelmsford City- all weather- polytrack
5.50 PREMIUM RACE
6.20 the Warrior is not the horse he was but is still most effective in this lowly grade and handles the surface well. He’s a hold up type, but is nicely drawn to execute his strong finish. Been a bit more confident with a more positive jockey booking.
¼ pt ew The Warrior @ 8/1
7.55 PREMIUM RACE
8.30 Muraaqeb is the most prolific of these recently with 3 wins this season . He landed a weak event over C&D a few starts back and did really well last time, off this mark when 3rd of 12 at Wolver on the tapeta over a trip further than ideal. He’s likely to be played late and is well drawn to deliver his late charge and the jockey rode him well when winning .
½ pt win Muraaqeb @ 8/1
9.00 Little Miss Kodi has been unlucky over this C&D a few times of late, but that’s the hazard of backing hold up horses like her who needs it all to drop right. She’s nicely drawn and shouldn’t be far away.
¼ pt ew Little Miss Kodi @ 11/1
Chelmsford City placepot
Selected Sandown- good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
6.00 My Boy Sepoy comes here in good shape and ran well on his comeback race just behind Sudona and should gain revenge on this stiffer track. Nicely drawn for a prominent racer and will do for me.
¼ pt win My Boy Sepoy @ 11/2
6.35 There was money for Full Authority on his debut and he sluiced in on the Chester mud, but did very much get the run of the race and despite that being a smart performance , I wouldn’t be going in at 4/6 under very different conditions in a better race.
7.05 Dee Ex Bee is the likely winner but evens not for me.
7.35 Hard to fancy Bonbyx or Here Comes When whle the useful Dancetaria is better on softer ground, Elwazir looked good winning his first two last year, but then flopped and can only be watched returning from a 9 months break. Matterhorn did well recently on the Chester mud, so has it to prove on quick turf , while the useful Regal Reality goes up in trip, but the top stable has won this 4 times in 7 tries, so gets the nod.
¼ pt win Regal Reality @ 15/8
8.10 Far too much guesswork with so many progressive lightly raced 3yos from big stables and in famous colours.
