Hopeful of a June 1st start

It now looks likely that Uk racing will resume on June 1st followed by Ireland a week later.

All memberships which were active until the abandonment of domestic horse racing will restart on June 1st and last

for the whole of June .

This is a bonus for all members, which I see as being just .

The pandemic is not over so please look after yourselves and hope very much you've suffered no loss

You remain with a tipster at the very top of the game and in  December I won The Rating The Races

Tipping competition coming out on top of some 250 other entrants.

I was also runner up in the Elite Section of a different online tipster comp

The problems with registration appear to have resurfaced but I have somebody working on it.

If you have problems PLEASE contact me via e-mail .

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

I'm " Inter" Milan in the 4.45

Selected Carlisle- Heavy ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track

2.15 Highjacked comes here on the back of a very solid run at Ripon when 3rd of 12 , running on well at the finish. Last season his best run came on  soft ground at Redcar , off around this mark and again running on well. Looks a nice ew bet. The in form Timetodock hasn’t been seeing his races out and hard to see him coping with this uphill climb on deep ground

¼ pt ew Highjacked @ 8/1

2.50 Across The Sea went close last year on heavy ground and comes here on the back of a solid effort at Thirsk when 4th of 20 and worth risking on this stiff track.

¼ pt win Across The Sea @ 4/1

3.25 This looks a match but not hard seeing So Near So Farrh outstaying the likeable hurdler Cornerstone Lad .

½ pt win So Near So Farrh @ 7/4

4.45 Majeste nailed a first win for 3 years getting up close home in the Hamilton mud, but with a 5 pound pull for just a length defeat, Milan Reef looks something to bet on.

½ pt win Milan Reef @ 2/1

5.20 Highwayman comes here on the back of a solid effort in the Hamilton mud, just beaten a few lengths and that gives him clear claims in a modest finale. The ground is the problem with form horse Ishebayorgrey.

¼ pt ew Highwayman @ 7/1

Carlisle placepot

18 bets

Selected Wolver- all weather- tapeta

2.25 Always Amazing hasn’t won for a while , but is certainly knocking on the door with two consecutive seconds. He’ll have a nice pace to trail from the best of the draw and is very effective over c&D. just a modest play due to his recent poor win record.

¼ pt win Always Amazing @ 7/2

Wolver placepot

Selected Epsom- good ground on this undulating, sharp and tricky track

2.00 The Woodcote Stakes ,a class 2 for 2yos and of course hard to be sure  with 5 last time winners , and 4 of them are 1 from 1 !! The bookies are running scared of the Godolphin runner Pinatubo who was an easy winner on debut, but it was on the all weather , and Godolphin have not been anywhere near as dominant as they usually are with juveniles. After a modest debut, Misty Grey put that behind him with a scintillating display at Ripon, so this C&D should suit but the nod goes to Oh Purple Reign ,who looked professional when winning on debut for a stable which does well with juveniles here.

¼ pt win Oh Purple Reign @ 7/1

3.10 We can forgive Kew Gardens defeat at Chester when well behind Morando in the Chester mud , but last year’s St Leger hero could struggle over this sharp C&D . The very wonderful Old Persian , 8 wins from 13 tries, coms here on the back of a Group 1 in Meydan, by far a career best, but I’m always suspicious when an exposed horse suddenly runs 10 pounds better. This is a cracking field and I’m with a longshot in Communique, whose rated a lofty 114, but that still gives him a chunk to find in this hot affair. What I like about his chance is that he is the likely front runner and is also well served by the drying ground. He’ll give us a great run for our money and not impossible at all winning from the front here.

¼ pt ew Communique @ 25/1

4.30 The Oaks and it’s right minefleld with so many in form fillies from top stables. The fav is Aidan O’Brien’s Pink Dogwood , but the level of her form is some way behind the hat-trick seeking Maqsad and the 4 timer seeking Mendaayh. Maqsab is 2 from 2 this season and is bred for this longer trip while Mendeeyah looked really good winning at Chester at around this trip and quicker ground is Ok. Nod just goes to Maqsab.

¼ pt win Maqsab @ 6/1

5.15  Angel’s Hideaway has a massive advantage at the weights and also in current form , but she is becoming hard to win with and is not even the fav , as the lightly raced Godolphin horse Space Blues is a warm order after impressing in a York handicap, but the bare form needs much improvement to justify his status. Sunday Star looks very overpriced as  she was only a neck behind Angel’s Hideaway in a Group 3 last year and was only a 9/1 shot for the 1000 Guineas. At mammoth odds, worth a dabble.

¼ pt ew Sunday Star @ 50/1

5.50 Course form counts for plenty here and the likeable and talented Hateya has a win and 2 places in just 4 tries. She comes into this in her usual good form, but also on a career high mark, but still looks a nice ew play in a winnable event . Andrea Atzeni rides this track well and is certainly a positive jockey booking .

¼ pt ew Hateya @15/2

No Epsom placepot

Selected Stratford- good ground on this flat and sharp track

A Hunter Chase card, but a number of quality events

7.20 Patricktom Boru has run in this race for the last 3 years running well each time and despite getting no younger , comes into this in excellent form and looks likely to give us a good run for our money at long odds.

¼ pt ew Patricktom Boru @ 16/1

7.50 Caryto Des Brosses made the Champion Hunter Hazel Hill pull out all the stops last time and this young hunter looks a serious racehorse in the making. Irish raider was a shock 66/1 winner of this last year , but the race did fall apart somewhat , which is unlikely in this much smaller field. Asockastar was a brave second in that, doing very well to last so long disputing a strong pace. He comes here on the back of an impressive win when held up, so is tactically versatile and looks a very decent ew bet.

½ pt ew Asockastar @ 7/1

No Stratford Placepot

Selected Doncaster- good to firm on this flat and galloping track

7.00 Not a deep contest and easy to be concerned about the fancied Whelan’s Way , up in trip, the ratings and on quicker ground, Gabriel The wire has been cut some slack by the handicapper and responded with a very decent 2nd last time over C&D and similar ground. Nice ew on the strength of that.

¼ pt ew Gabriel The Wire @ 15/2

7.30 The lightly raced Laieth impressed last time at Newmarket, but this is a very different track and he drops in trip too. The penalty also demands questions as does the quicker ground. Pettifogger is another up in the ratings with a bit to prove on the track and ground while the back to form Starlight Romance has been shoved up 3 pounds and consistency not her strongpoint . Raselasad is a bold front runner who ended last season with a brave win at Musselburgh on quick ground and started this season with another bold run at that track with a close 2nd off a higher mark than today. At such long odds, has to be a player.

¼ pt ew Raselesad @ 25/1

No Donny placepot

Selected Chelmsford City- all weather- polytrack

6.10 Cat Royale put in a series of good and consistent efforts in the Autumn, but after a break, hadn’t showed much at all, until a return to this C&D with a good front running effort, only to be overhauled late on by the in form Murraqeb, but only beaten a length. , but does renew on 6 pound better terms. He has been lucky in the draw and could take some catching tonight.

½ pt ew Cat Royale @ 13/2

6.40 A modest handicap and despite Archdeacon coming into this the clear form horse, this hold up type is hard to win with being a severe hold up type. Lethal Laura stepped up considerably last time with a good 3rd on the Southwell fibresand, and the second horse has won very well since. She has to prove effectiveness on this surface, but the stable has winners here, and there is stamina in the pedigree. She went with the pace last time and could land this winnable contest at long odds.

½ pt win Lethal Laura @ 14/1

7.10 The Sir Mark Prescott stable has been quiet of late so hard to be keen on the fav Grey Spirit, returning from almost a year off , and also returns on a much higher mark. Livvys Dream won well last time on tapeta but was behind Villette on polytrack in the Autumn. This one hasn’t been running to her best of late, but worth risking on s good mark in a winnable contest.

¼ pt win Villette @ 5/1

7.40 Erissmus Maximus comes here on the back of a good win on turf, but is equally effective on the all weather. However on the negative side , this front runner has the worst of the draw and been nudged up the weights. The ex-Italian Giogiobbo was prolific back home but yet to score here. He started on a very high mark, but still ran some very respectable races . He’s down again to a good mark, but is another unlucky in the draw and likes to be ridden handily, but at the odds in a winnable contest , a nice ew bet.

½ pt ew Giogiobbo @ 11/1

Chelmsford City placepot

Just a few of interest in Ireland tonight

Down Royal 6.25

With a number of these dropping in trip or now racing on testing marks , worth a try on the back to form Aloysius Lilius after a good 2nd in England and should cope with the 2 pound hit.

¼ pt win Aloysius Liliius @ 5/1

Tramore 7.00

Courtin BB has only ever won twice and they have been this race in the last two years, off marks of 82 and 81, so tonight’s mark of 80 very nice. He’s had two encouraging warm up spins for this and the hat-trick beckons .

½ pt win Courtin BB @ 6/1

Down Royal 7.25

This looks a penalty kick for the in form Great White Shark , who ran to a level of 132 when winning easily over hurdles and has obviously improved since his last flat runs in England. Only even money but worth a double with …………….

Tramore 7.35

Morning Break was rated 81 on the flat and comes here on the back of two good efforts over hurdles from the front and could be hard to catch

½ pt double Great White Shark @ evens-  Morning Break @ 7/4
