6 50p doubles, 4 25p trebles & 50p ew acca
Echo 1.20 @ 10/3
Settimo Milanese 4.05 @ 9/4
Alto Esqua 1.45 @ 4/1
Notwhatiam 2.55 @ 11/4
Selected Doncaster- good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.20 Echo has matured well this season and is 3 from 3 , winning over a variety of trips and surfaces. At this trip I expect a prominent ride from regular rider Jack Garrity and could still be ahead of the game. He is closely matched with Divin Bere , but today’s ground is in the tip’s favour.
¾ pt win Echo @ 10/3
1.55 An odds on fav in Full Verse after two good runs at Newmarket, but on this very different track Bravo Faisal has clear ew claims after a solid 3rd at Haydock last time, so ground and track in this expensive purchase’s favour.
½ pt ew Bravo Faisal @ 6/1
2.30 A short priced fav in Vivion who’s won 2 of her last 3 . but both on the all weather. She belives comes on a hat-trick, but they weren’t tough races and the same concern regarding Geetanjali’s latest victory . Lady of Shallot had plenty of tough tasks last year but reappeared with a very good 2nd over C&D on fast turf. An able 5 pound claimer takes the ride.
½ pt win Lady of Shallott @ 5/1
3.40 Black Lotus is a most likeable type who landed another smart win last time over C&D on fast ground, and despite the 4 pound hit , this is not a severe examination.
½ pt win Black Lotus @ 10/3
Selected Hexham – good to soft on this undulating, galloping and very stiff track
1.30 Hard to fancy many in this modest opener so worth a dabble on Windy writer , a respectable 3rd over C&D last time and drying ground in his favour.
¼ pt ew Windy Writer @ 8/1
3.15 There was little between apache Pilot and Solid Strike over C&d last time but on the revised weights and slightly slower ground, expect the latter to get revenge .
½ pt win Solid Strike @ 11/4
3.50 Not a deep race and every chance Irish raider Dollys Destination can double up on a recent course win, despite slower ground.
¼ pt win Dollys Destination @ 7/2
Selected Musselburgh – good to soft on this flat and galloping track.
2.50 PREMIUM RACE
3.25 Rochester House did well when 3rd off this mark and trip last time and worth trusting on softer ground in a winnable race.
¼ pt win Rochester House @ 4/1
4.00 PREMIUM RACE
4.30 Fairy Falcon did well in few chances last year, especially on soft ground and fitness in trusted to land this modest event.
½ pt win Fairy Falcon @ 3/1
No Musselburgh placepot
Selected Worcester- good ground on this flat and galloping track
1.45 Always worth noting anything which crosses the Irish Sea and Alto Esqua did well on his latest raid , until stamina ebbed. Drop in trip a smart idea.
½ pt win Alto Esqua @ 4/1
2.20 Alltimegold comes here on the back of a quick 4 timer, but is now on a stiff mark and his wins have come on pretty soft races. Dragon Khan has run some decent races of late over hurdles and nice odds in an uncompetitive race.
¼ pt ew Dragon Khan @ 14/1
2.55 A good quality Class 3 chase and not much between all of official ratings wither over fences or hurdles. Despite carrying a penalty the useful Notwhatiam ticks most boxes.
½ pt win Notwhatiam @ 11/4
4.05 Settimo Milanese ran well on his recent comeback race and another win looks on the card with ground and trip ideal.
½ pt win Settimo Milanese @ 9/4
Selected Epsom- good to firm on this undulating, sharp and tricky track
2.00 The Trader landed a few wins last[i] season and there was no disgrace in finishing 5th of 15 in a very hot handicap last time and just gets the nod in a tricky opener .
¼ pt win The Trader @ 7/2
2.35 Veracious was a warm order to start the season with a win but disappointed at Newmarket , finishing some way behind Nyaleti, who comes out the best in at the weights and an overdue win can be hers, dropping slightly in grade.
½ pt win Nyaleti @ 7/2
3.10 Zaaki bounced back to form last time and is a rock solid fav, but there are dangers in the hat-trick seeking Bye Bye Hong Kong and Oh This is Us, with slight preference for the latter as Chief Ironside could make this a strongly run event which will favour the tip.
¼ pt win Oh This is Us @ 11/2
3.45 PREMIUM RACE
4.30 The Derby is rarely a straight forward race to work out with so many usually going up in trip and of course not every horse can act on this tricky track. Aiden O’Brien runs 7 ! and you would expect all to run their races and he’s no stranger to outsiders of his hitting the frame. Ryan Moore opts for Sir Dragonet who is 2 from 2, but both wins on soft ground. At the odds I’m having a dabble on Japan, who last year was talked of being the stable’s Derby horse and his Dante run wasn’t awful.
¼ pt ew Japan @ 16/1
5.15 This has a winnable look to it and the very much back to form Eddystone Rock , who has a good record here and the recent nudge up the weights could have been worse.
½ pt ew Eddystone Rock @ 11/1

Been through both cards which are mostly uncompetitve and many races looking 2 horse wars and with the rewards of getting it right skinny, happy to swerve and allow me to concentrate on what is happening in Madrid
Back with more pearls tomorrow
