I’m just having the one bet in Ireland
Despite the big field hard to get excited about many and I’m certainly drawn to the chance of the lightly raced live Every Day, who showed promise here in a bumper and also in a big field novice event at Limerick. He ran well in his recent first handicap at Tipperary when 4th of 18 on ground soft enough and under an amateur jockey and will be far better served by today’s better ground and longer trip. He runs for a small stable who has successfully landed this race twice from only 3 tries !!
½ pt ew Live Every Day @ 15/2
Selected Brighton- good to firm on this undulating, sharp and tricky track
2.00 Plenty of pace on with both Exceedingly Diva and the once useful Come On Dave sure to go out hard , and so will the well treated Normal Equilibrium , who comes here on the back of an excellent 3rd of 17 at Donny, when going with the pace and hanging on in for the whole race. That is clear race winning form in this contest, but the drop in trip not ideal and not great odds for a horse who hasn’t won for 2 years , but is on a career low mark.
¼ pt win Normal Equilibrium @ 9/4
2.30 Significant that top jockey Oisin Murphy comes here for just the one ride in My motivate Girl, a good 3rd on debut , but is odds on and the form of Faldetta looks a touch stronger.
3.00 There was money for Barritus here last time and this lightly raced type ran well to be 3rd and today’s shorter trip is a smart move. This isn’t a big ask, but bit worried with the first time cheekpieces with this stable.
¼ pt win Barritus @ 13/8
3.30 Miss Havana ran well over C&D a few starts back and can be forgiven a lesser run next time up in trip on a stiff track. Not a massive ask and a nice ew .
¼ pt ew Miss Havana @ 9/1
Selected Thirsk- good to firm on this flat and galloping track
3.15 PREMIUM RACE
3.45 Despite the big field, hard to fancy many and this should go to the in form Supalette, who has a good record here and this is not a big ask.
½ pt win Supalette @ 2/1
4.15 I really fancied Ingleby Hollow last time, but was given a poor ride, held up way at the back in a steadily run contest and just got going far too late. He’s been eased in the weights and can run in a grade where 5 of his career wins have come. He’s back on ideal quick turf and in two runs here has managed a win and a place. Danny Tudhope is back in the saddle and has ridden the tip to victory 5 times and rides this track very well. Plenty of positives .
½ pt win Ingleby Hollow @ 5/2
4.45 Abate has run well in all 3 runs this season and did especially well last time out at Redcar in a handicap when for once missing the break but ran on well for a very good 3rd off a mark of 75. Prior to that he’d been leading in 6 furlong races , running to a good level. If he was to get off on level terns today, I fancy he’d be away and gone. This is not a deep race and the joint fav Hareem Queen hasn’t been racing as the drop in trip would suit.
½ pt win Abate @ 5/2
5.15 The Defiant has two good recent wins , the latest when making all at Musselburgh, so obviously speed tracks suit , but this is a deeper contest and the 7 pound hit will take some overcoming. Dancing mountain ran a good race at Musselburgh two starts back when ridden handily , but next time was given a poor ride, never put into it. Nice ew on his best form.
¼ pt ew Dancing Mountain @ 8/1
Selected Windsor- good to firm on this flat and galloping track- speed track
6.00 Odds on shot in golden Horde after a promising debut 4th , but the form has yet to be tested and plenty of interesting unraced juveniles in this. I am drawn to newcomer Stone Circle, running for Michael Bell whose 2yos are 4 from 8 this season !! Jamie spencer comes here for just this one ride.
¼ p ew Stone Circle @ 14/1
6.30 Very little between all of these at the ratings, but the likes of night Secret and Usain Bolt prefer softer ground while Sirius Slew ran a bad one last time. Champion Brogie is rarely far away and comes here on the back of a good effort. Nice little bet at the odds.
¼ pt ew Champion Brogie @ 7/1
7.30 The penalised pair of Dark Shadow and shining have more to do at the weights and also on this quicker track. Thegreatestshowman comes here on the back of a good run giving him a strong form chance, but jockey is struggling for winners.
¼ pt win Thegreatestshowman @ 9/4
8.00 PREMIUM RACE
8.30 A small field yet very open finale and the nod goes to Regular Income who followed up two wins with a good effort at Epsom on Saturday, no beaten far in a good race.
¼ pt win Regular Income @ 3/1
No Windsor placepot
Selected Wolver- all weather- tapeta
5.45 Odds on shot in Awsaaf who sluiced in over C&d just a few days ago, but did come off a furious pace, which may not happen tonight and carries a hefty penalty . Waneen has dropped to a good mark, is effective over C&D and SDS rides.
¼ pt win Waneen @ 4/1
6.15 Most of these juveniles ran well on their recent debuts but preference is for Homespin who knew his job on debut when scorching along for most of the race, but just got tired late on, but only beaten a few lengths, and the winner did well at Epsom last week. He’s very likely to be suited to this surface and well drawn to go all the way.
1/2pt win Homespin @ 7/2
6.45 PREMIUM RACE
7.15 Most of these need to start now to land this claimer which should be between Lexington Law and Noble Expression at the weights, but neither have been totally firing of late. Dream Magic is clear 3rd best, comes here running to his mark , and looks cast iron ew .
½ pt ew Dream Magic @ 11/2
7.45 Neff won well last time in the Lingfield mud and has to be considered again , but a bit skinny at 2/1. Street Poet likes it here and has gone close a few times , but is closely matched with the consistent ghazan which looks the bet at the odds.
¼ pt ew Ghazan @ 11/1
8.15 A short priced fav in the lightly raced Calin’s Lad on his first start for Mike Appleby and , the market support is significant, especially with SDS riding , but 5/4 not attractive. The consistent Rockesbury goes well here and another nice ew bet.
¼ pt ew Rockesbury @ 6/1
