Court Dreaming ran a good race but was just outstayed late on finishing a close 3rd.
No mistakes at all with Storm Melody as the excellen SDS somehow got him to the front from the worst of the draw and just went further and further away for a wide margin win in the sprint @ 9/2.
Slainte and Thanks ran an absolute cracker, in the van all the way, willingly battling to the front, but was chinned by a strong finisher right on the line losing by a short head @ 8/1
I made Lethal Promise the nap, but she ran way below her best , so watcing brief only with this one.
Saturday- Great start with Fluvius Titus battling on well landing the big sprint at 5/1
I napped veteran Confessional, but the veteran was reluctant at the start , something he's never showed before. He finished just putside the places in 6th in the big field, but better was expected and another one just to watch , for now
Lord Riddington diputed a strong pace but still had plenty left for the final push @ 4/1
The steady rain got into the ground which was not to Ideal Candy's benefit but she ran really well for a long way finishing a creditable 4th on unsuitable ground.
Sunday Bialco made all for generous odds of 10/3, but as his forecast odds were much shorter I doubled him with Paper Star, who held every chance but was only 3rd and is looking hard to win with.
Presence Felt should have done much better as he had a pretty easy time of it up front, but had no answers as the raced warmed up late on and this goes down as a disappointing run .
Monday - I was pleased as Ounch with the expected big runs from the two longshots at Ponty with both My Reward and Cosmic Chatter hitting the frame at 25/1. The other tip Rock The island should have done far better with no excuses and looked reluctant in the closing stages. Watching brief only with him.
Tuesday The Nap, Eye on the Water , routed the big field winning by 7 lengths at 15/2 advised , but will find future succeses difficult with a big weight rise likely
So Near So Farrh should have done far better, but the steady gallop didn't help or probably the easier track. Worth keeping an eye out for him under more suitable conditions, but only at good odds
