Hopeful of a June 1st start

It now looks likely that Uk racing will resume on June 1st followed by Ireland a week later.

All memberships which were active until the abandonment of domestic horse racing will restart on June 1st and last

for the whole of June .

This is a bonus for all members, which I see as being just .

The pandemic is not over so please look after yourselves and hope very much you've suffered no loss

You remain with a tipster at the very top of the game and in  December I won The Rating The Races

Tipping competition coming out on top of some 250 other entrants.

I was also runner up in the Elite Section of a different online tipster comp

The problems with registration appear to have resurfaced but I have somebody working on it.

If you have problems PLEASE contact me via e-mail .

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

Pearl Noir to sail home in the 5.20

Today’s Fortune for a fiver

6 50p doubles, 4 25p trebles & 50p ew acca

Stealth Fighter 3.50 @ 4/1

Maamoora 4.50 @ 11/8

Pearl Noir 5.20 @ 15/2

Cruising Bye 5.35 @ 5/1

Selected Hamilton- very soft ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track

Conditions puts the emphasis very much on strong stayers

2.30 Alexander James has done well in both of his runs and as he’s a fibresand winner, deep ground should be no problem and stamina a positive on testing conditions.

½ pt win Alexander James @ 7/4

3.00 Onda District is on a long losing run, but only failed by a nose on soft ground at Carlisle off this mark and similar ground. He wasn’t stopping that day and we can expect another bold front running display and could well nab an overdue and deserved win.

¼ pt win Onda District @ 5/1

3.30 The feature race of the card, a Class 2 sprint, which only has three serious candidates for victory and all three of Brando, Donjuan Triumphant and Sands of Mali are closely matched on form and the ratings . Sands of Mali is the even money fav, which is about right as he stormed to victory last year making all at Ascot on soft ground landing a Group 1 sprint, with today’s two rivals , just a few lengths back in 3rd & 4th. He’s likely to try and make all again, but this demanding C&D on even deeper ground than Ascot , may not suit and the jockey booking could have been more positive. Brando is 1 from 1 over C&D , and worth a dabble.

¼ pt win Brando @ 7/2

Selected Haydock- good to soft on this flat and galloping track

4.10 Jabbarocke is a realible soul , who’ll be going with the pace and has run well here before. Ground is fine and likely to be in the mix.

¼ pt ew Jabbarockie @ 7/1

5.10 A handicap for lady amateur jockeys and most of the runners come into with little hope. One of the exceptions is The Detainee who ran well first time after a wind op and slower ground OK. Jockey has ridden winners.

¼ pt ew The Detainee @ 7/1

Selected Ripon- good ground on this undulating, sharp and tricky track

2.20 After two good runs, should be third time lucky for the front running praexeology on a track suited to front runners/

½ pt wi Praxeology @ evens

2.50 Patchouli has been going badly of late and will welcome this easier task. This is not a deep race but the tip has a nasty wide draw to overcome and is new to a roller coaster track such  as this, but still a nice ew play.

¼ pt ew Patchouli @ 8/1

3.20 The front running Aiya went close last time and can go one better in a winnable heat .

¼ pt win Aiya @ 5/2

3.50 The lightly raced Stealth Fighter stormed home at Yarmouth, but was then given a hefty 11 pound hit , but was still quite fancied in a red hot Class 2 handicap , where he was still in contention until weakening out of it late on. Back to his best trip, could be ahead of the game.

½ pt win Stealth Fighter @ 4/1

4.20 Hard Solution has been cut a lot of slack by the handicapper and has been running well enough off higher marks to be in the mix today.

¼ pt ew Hard Solution @ 6/1

4.50 Maamora comes into this on the back of 3 successive seconds, but the form is so good, surely the door will open today. She’s a strong font runner and her mark of 83 is a very assessment of her ability. There are a number of strong stables I opposition and some famous colours on show, but any newcomer would have to be well forward to run at a level better than the tip first time out and those which have run need to step up appreciably.

¾ pt win Maamora @ 11/8

5.20 The flying Pearl Noir can be relied to run his race and could take some catching in this field over a C&D where he’s won twice.

½ pt ew Pearl Noir @15/2

Ripon placepot

Selected Chelmsford City- all weather- polytrack

5.25 We have an odds on fav in newcomer Above, running for moneybags syndicate Qatar Racing and the 150,000 Euros they paid for him, is loose change for them, but he’s caught someone’s eye. He runs for The good stable of Archie Watson, but would do very well to win first time out from the very worst of the draw. This doesn’t look a deep maiden and could be worth sticking with experience in the shape of Nat Love, a running on second over C&D and very likely to improve upon that run.

¼ pt win Nat Love @ 7/2

6.00 Goodnight Girl is a cracking sprint handicapper, who does now look in the grip of the handicapper, but as she always runs her race, unlikely to be dropped in the ratings. She’s run well over C&D before and I’d be a bit more confident regarding  a deserved success if it wasn’t for the first time cheekpieces , as the stable hasn’t had much success using the aids.

½ pt win Goodnight Girl @ 3/1

6.30 Gentle Look has taken off of late and seeks the hat-trick but switches from turf and has a hefty 6 pound penalty. Fields of Athenry has done well in a short career , sluicing in last time in a Wolver handicap, which looked to suit him more than runs on polytrack. San Carlos has won 2 of his 3 starts , both here and is on a very fair mark judged on the strength of those victories. Longer trip should suit and is always good odds due to racing for an unfashionable stable.

¼ pt win San Carlos @ 11/2

7.05 Victory Wave won well here last time but a hefty penalty and a longer trip leaves him looking vulnerable. Romola hasn’t had many chances but has to prove stamina. I was with Agincourt last time when beating a big field on turf over a trip short enough. Back to his best trip , could well upset better fancied rivals.

½ pt win Agincourt @ 4/1

7.35 Two of the clear form horses in Dame Mallot and Whimbrel have been very unlucky in the draw so playing a well bred newcomer in Hindaam, wearing famous colours and a positive jockey booking.

¼ pt ew Hindaam @ 25/1

Chelmsford City placepot

Selected Ffos Las- good ground on this flat and galloping track

5.35 This looks a match between the two form horses in the gritty Butlergrove King and the in form veteran Cruising Bye, but on this galloping track, expect the latter to stay the better.

½ pt win Cruising Bye @ 5/1

6.10 It’s hard fancying many of these and on early season form , you’d expect Lord Du Mesnil to very much get the better of these, but he hasn’t really been firing of late and the trip a bit short and going a bit quick, but still have to play in  this company.

¼ pt win Lord Du Mesnil @ 4/1

6.40 All four have a decent shout but no hesitation going for Cesar Et Rosalie, who is 2 from 2 at this trip and looks to have plenty in the locker.

½ pt win Cesar Et Rosalie @ 2/1

7.15 a great opportunity for the lightly raced Baiser Interdit to double up after a smooth win at Sedgefield, and the 2nd horse has won since. Drop in trip should make little difference for this young filly running in famous colours for a top stable, but she is 4/7.

No Bet

7.45 Another race that wont take much winning and looks good for recent winner Victarion , only a pound higher and likely to be fine over this longer trip.

½ pt win Victarion @ 2/1

8.15 Alltimegold has been making hay of late , but over fences and switches to hurdles on a very good mark. He’s had few chances over hurdles so may not make a difference, but preference is for youngster Sin Bin , a strong finishing 2nd over C&D last time.

¼ pt win Sin Bin @ 9/2
