6 50p doubles, 4 25p trebles & 50p ew acca
Stubborn Logic @ 11/8
Lightning Charlie 3.05 @ 7/2
Narjes 4.40 @ 7/2
Blushing Red 2.55 @ 5/1
Selected Market Rasen- good ground on this flat and sharp track.Likely to miss the rain, so going shouldn’t change
1.50 An absolute match with Smith’s Bay likely to get the better of Red Royalist, but easy to pass at ½.
2.20 This is very weak and offers a terrific opportunity for the ex-Irish Stubborn Logic , with the slightly shorter trip a positive.
¾ pt win Stubborn Logic @ 11/8
2.55 Zig Zag bounced back to form last time but it was very deep ground at Cartmel and despite having no penalty, can be taken on today on the forecast going. Blushing Red is a most likeable and willing type and comes here on the back of another good run , hinting that this slightly longer trip would suit.
½ pt win Blushing Red @ 5/1
3.25 PREMIUM RACE
Market Rasen placepot
Selected Brighton- good ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
Plenty of rain is forecast, so going likelyto soften.
2.30 The prolific Pink Flamingo, 3 wins in the last 4 also has a course win on her CV , but a 6 pound hit doesn’t help and unproved on soft ground. Richard Hughes is 2 from 2 in this race and saddles the capable Swiss Pride, who looks a nice bet at the odds, despite being unproven on the ground.
¼ pt win Swiss Pride @ 6/1
3.05 A tough task for Key Player who made all for a win here last time, but has a hefty penalty and drops in trip against proven sprinters. The back to form Emily Goldfinch will also make an early bid for glory, but unlikely to succeed off a testing mark and soft ground no use. The likely strong pace should play into the hooves of C&D winner Lightning Charlie, who shaped better last time and will appreciate the drop in grade.
½ pt win Lightning Charlie @ 7/2
4.40 The in form Waqt has been nudged up the weights again and softening ground an issue. Narjes was unlucky here last time and wont mind softer ground. Very decent chance.
½ pt win Narjes @ 7/2
5.10 De Little Engine loves it here and was just touched off by Swissal over C&D last time, showing extreme willing. He has a one pound pull , which should be enough to reverse form , but softer ground an unknown.
¼ pt win DE Little Engine @ 4/1
Selected Uttoxeter- good ground on this quite sharp and undulating track with a long run in
Plenty of rain is forecast, so likely to turn soft
2.10 Not a deep contest and a decent opportunity for the consistent if luckless Catchin Time , who goes well here and wont mind softer ground.
¼ pt win Catchin Time @ 10/3
5.20 Great seeing veteran Boher Lad back in top form and well worth trying in this winnable finale, but very soft ground would not suit.
¼ pt win BOher Lad @ 11/2
NO Uttoxeter placepot
Selected The Curragh- good to soft on this undulating, galloping and stiff track
7.10 PREMIUM RACE
8.45 Hee Haw has responded pretty well to an ease In the ratings and ran well when 3rd here recently in another massive field handicap. His high draw looks the place to be and could well relish the longer trip and slower ground.
¼ pt ew Hee Haw @ 12/1
Only 1 tip at Clonmel in the 6.15 , but members only .
Selected Bath- Currently firm ground but that’s very likely to change with plenty of rain forecast
The track is sharp but stiff
5.35 PREMIUM RACE
6.40 Looks very much a match between the lightly raced Nakham, who after winning his first two starts, ran well last time in a tough handicap at Kempton from a bad draw. He has a win over C&D, but if the ground does soften , this could be an issue. No ground worries for the back to form Salt Whistle Bay , so worth risking on this stiff track.
½ pt win Salt Whistle Bay @ 10/3
7.45 He’s a few pounds high in the weights, but The Daley Express goes well over C&D and his chance would be enhanced on soft ground.
¼ pt win The Daley Express @ 5/1
No Bath placepot
Selected Haydock – soft ground on this flat and galloping track. With rain forecast , could turn heavy.
5.50 With deep ground probable best to stick with confirmed mudlarks and despite going up in grade and usually campaigned on stiffer tracks, the in form Milan Reef ricks the most important of boxes as he relishes the mud.
¼ pt ew Milan Reef @ 9/1
6.20 Quite a few possible in this but I’m trying Cape Islay who landed a few wins last season, one an all the way win at Nottingham in the mud off around this mark. She’s the likely front runner in this and will find this much easier than the listed company she tried last time in the Lingfield Oaks trail, won by Oaks heroine Annapurna, and she ran well for a long way, just finding that trip too far.
½ pt win Cape Islay @ 13/2
6.55 The front running Redrosezorro has run a few good races of late and this is not a huge ask.
¼ pt win Redrosezorro @ 4/1
Selected Goodwood- currently good ground on this undulating, sharp and tricky track. Another track forecast to receive plenty of rain, so likely to soften.
7.05 The Groove usually runs is race and crucially is at home on soft ground. This track may be a bit sharp for him, but will be finishing well.
¼ pt ew The Groove @ 13/2
8.10 Berrhari is a terrifically tough type who comes here on the back of a typical brave run from the front at Chester. Softer ground in his favour as is a return to this C&D. I’d be much more confident if there were no other front runners, but could have his own way from the best of the draw .
¼ pt ew Berrhari @ 7/1
No Goodwood placepot
