Young John 5.00 @ 7/1
King Muro 4.45 @ 6/1
Bodacious Name 6.35 @ 6/1
Sheepscar Lad 9.05 @ 7/1
Selected Stratford- currently good to soft but heavy rain forecast so very likely to soften
The track is flat and sharp.
3.15 Very few of these have worthwhile form on soft ground, the exception being the back to form Aengus, but he’s on a long losing run and first time tongue tie a negative for the stable, but a small ew should do little damage .
¼ pt ew Aengus @ 9/2
4.15 On the going, few have a serious chance and hard to make a solid case for the fav Jane Lamb. Lookforarainbow is rarely far away but is hard to win with, but has run well on soft so could be his day.
¼ pt win Looksforarainbow @ 10/3
4.45 Acid test for 4 timer seeking Global Tour whose done really well since joining the good stable of Fergal O’brien winning 3 from 3 at a variety of trips and tracks, but he’s up a hefty 9 pounds and this will be his first recent start on soft ground. His form in Ireland was very ordinary , including on soft ground, so uncertain about predicting how the ground will affect him. A strong pace is on the cards with a few front runners which will suit Global Tour but also my idea of the winner in King Muro. He’s done well since joining this stable and even better since a wind op and comes here on the back of a strong finishing 3rd at Kempton , just behind one who’s run well since . A win at Plumpton on soft ground is encouraging for this track and looks a cracking ew bet.
½ pt ew King Muro @ 6/1
Good to soft presently, but very likely to soften
The track is stiff and galloping
3.30 A Class 3 absolutely there for the taking with Bombyx currently running just OK, Getchagetchagetcha taking a huge step up in trip , Cohesian very much more of an all weather horse and with Arthur Kitt with stamina to prove, which leaves us with the capable but in and out What About Carlo, but no getting away from his form on soft ground and while his record at this trip is not the best, ran well recently at Ascot at this distance and similar ground. He’s not won for two years, but disappointing if he can’t nail this.
½ pt win What About Carlo @ 7/2
4.00 Hard to be sure in this as the majority if these 3yos are lightly raced and few have tried soft ground or this trip. Asian Angel showed enough last season to be a factor off this mark and longer trip should help.
¼ pt win Asian Angel @ 9/2
5.00 Young John has a good record here with a win and 2 places in 4 tries , and runs very well on soft ground, which makes him a nice ew bet in a winnable contest .
½ pt ew Young John @ 7/1
5.30 & 6.00
Two massive fields and with so many of the runners trying handicaps for the first time and also soft ground for most a novelty . I have two against the field who are on decent marks and have showed a bit of form on soft.
¼ p ew double Defence Treaty @ 8/1 Salmon Fishing @ 5/1
Selected Windsor- currently good ground but most likely to soften up with heavy rain is forecast
6.45 Far Above was well backed to win on debut and did it well and was far from disgraced next time when 4th in listed company, but the drop in trip will test and is new to soft ground. The consistent Real smooth has good form on soft ground and this trip so looks a most solid ew bet.
½ pt ew Real Smooth @ 6/1
7.15 track specialist Ice Age put in a much better run last time but the drop in trip and softer ground likely to catch him out. Just Glamorous is a right speedball and has dropped to a very handy mark . he handles soft ground and could be away and gone at long odds.
½ pt win Just Glamorous @ 11/1
7.45 PREMIUM RACE
8.15 After a good comeback spin on soft ground, this looks at the mercy of Qarasu, but at 4/9 , not interested .
Selected Ponty- currently good ground but rain forecast and likely to soften
6.35 Bodacious name runs this specialist track really well with 2 wins and a place in three tries and handles soft ground well which he showed with a good effort on deep ground at Carlisle last time . Should be very much on the premises. Attention Seeker was just ahead of him in that Carlisle event and worth a saver and rev fc. Worry is that he races rarely nowadays.
½ pt ew Bodacious Name @ 6/1 ¼ pt win Attention Seeker and small rev fc
7.05 Triple Distilled landed a win on heavy ground at Carlisle last season so ground and probably C&D fine tonight. Not being going badly this season and better expected with his ideal conditions tonight.

9.05 Sheepscar Lad has run some good races of late and can exploit a good mark over a C&D he runs well and soft ground no issue.
