Twentysvnthlancers 2.15 @ 15/2

Parion 3.45 @ 11/2
Grandfather Tom 6.40@ 8/1
Selected Beverley- good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
1.45 Very weak opener and looks a penalty kick for 4//7 shot Singe Anglais
2.15 A typical low grade Beverley sprint and a stack of early pace which will enhance the chances of the late players. Mr Greenlight ran his best race ever when 2nd over C&D , but couldn’t back that up next time with just an Ok run but it was in an amateur rider’s race, so fair to give another chance, but he’s never won one so preference is for the well treated Twentysventhlancers, who is effective over C&D and on quick ground. He was some way behind Mr Greenlight last time, but considering he had the very worse of the draw , ran a very decent race. He’s been far luckier in the draw and the return to the saddle of Graham lee is a bonus . His recent overall form could be stronger, but disappointing is he can’t be flying up the hill today and be firmly In the mix.
¼ pt ew Twentysventhlancers @ 15/2
3.15 Quite a few of these come into this in good form but have become hard to win with so well worth chancing the capable Mango Chutney, who knows how to win and is back down to his last winning mark . He goes well on fast turf and ran encouragingly on his recent comeback spin. His best track is Thirsk , which is very different from this circuit, but has run respectably on the stiff Newcastle track and comes here after a decent run at Carlisle, another stiff circuit. There have been plenty of meetings at Thirsk of late, bt the stable has chosen here, which makes him most interesting in a winnable event.
¼ pt ew Mango Chutney @ 12/1
3.45 The consistent Olivander will give it a go , but even in this smallish field, the wide draw is a disadvantage and the drop in trip not ideal. He’ll try to make all but there are a few others who wont be giving him much peace up front. Parlion runs for a top stable and comes here on the back of a career best run over C&D when coming from off the pace . from the worst of the draw, to be a good 2lenghts 5th , and can race off a 2 pound lower mark today. She mjst have a great chance in this weak heat of breaking her duck but you can’t have everything and I’d prefer a more positive jockey booking than Royston Ffrench, who is on a long losing run and doesn’t have a good record here, so sadly just an interest bet.
¼ pt win Parion@ 11/2
4.45 PREMIUM RACE
5.15 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Bath- firm ground on this sharp but stiff track
2.00 The fast ground is an issue for Execlusive while Beignet’s latest effort was a step forward but opening mark looks harsh. Prissy Missy has showed plenty of dash in some decent maidens and this front runner is on a decent mark . Fast ground no issue and will probably need to be caught.
½ pt win Prissy Missy @ 5/1
2.30 Great opening for 1/4 shot Requiem’s Dream .
3.00 PREMIUM RACE
4.00 The inform pair of Wise Words and Wedding Date are now on testing marks, so preference for the back to form Tinto, a good 2nd and the winner ran well yesterday.
½ pt win Tinto @ 5/2
4.30 Only 4 go but none can be ruled out. I put you on to a winning outsider of 4 last night at 7/1 and hoping to repeat the dose with the well treated More Than Likely who made a right fist of it last time out trying to make all at Windsor on quick ground and this stiffer track likely to help.
¼ pt win More Than Likely @ 5/1
Back with night racing later
Selected Nottingham – good ground on this flat and galloping track
5.40 The in form pair of Tigerfish and Celtic Artisan are now both on testing marks and this galloping track may well not play into their strengths. The fav is the lightly race Tarjeed, but I can’t find much to recommend him . Telekinetic has run a couple of solid races at Yarmouth off around this mark, trip and ground and the drop in trip shouldn’t be an issue. Good jockey booking in this apprentices handicap.
¼ pt ewTelekinetic @ 14/1
6.10 Good opportunity for She Looks like fun , but I can pass at a shade of odds on .
6.40 Very hard to fancy all of Arzaak , Dragon Beat or Choosey on current form and with Move In Time and Sheepscar Lad both hard to win with and both hold up types in a race unlikely to be run at a strong pace, a really good opportunity for the capable grandfather Tom, who had excuses on his last run, but previous efforts well good enough to land this t very nice odds. He is not the most consistent, hence his lengthy odds.
¾ pt win Grandfather Tom @ 8/1
7.10 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Southwell- good ground on this flat, sharp and quick track
6.00 a special word for Irish raider See Double You , 16 years young and come here on the back of a win at Rosscommn over hurdles and the switch to fences not totally in his favour and would do very well to feature off a 10 pound higher mark in what looks a deep contest. The admirable Little Windmill is sure to willingly try and make all and wont fail for want on trying, but is on a testing mark which has been showing in the closing stages of his races of late, and this is likely to be the same. The longer trip could find Battle Of Ideas out and Iskabeg Lane’s improved 2nd at this trip came in a lesser race. Atomic Rumble ticks plenty of boxes but preference is for the smooth travelling Mr Mafia who rattled off a sequence in the early part of last season and then held his form well off testing marks . He did disappoint last time, but switching to fences and with Dicky Johnson aboard, worth a play.
¼ pt win Mr Mafia @ 4/1
7.30. All of Three ways, Solo Saxaphone and For Good Measure have crossed swords of late and at the weights and this trip, the former comes out just the best, surprisingly is the longest price of the trio.
½ pt win Three Ways @ 5/1
