Today’s Fortune for a fiver
20p ew yank & 30p ew acca
Viola Park 5.50 @ 10/1
Rainbow Jazz 4.40 @ 9/1
Super Kid 7.55 @ 6/1
Hurricane Alert 3.10 @ 6/1
Selected Catterick- good to firm on this undulating and sharp track
2.30 A couple of these have huge chances on official ratings, but Naadirr continues to struggle and this C&d on quick ground unlikely to help especially from a wide draw. The other is Adam’s Ale who ran way below his best over C&D from a poor draw and has been unlucky in that score again. He was behind Extrasolar, who always gives a good account over this C&D and in a weak race , looks a nice ew bet.
½ pt ew Extrasolar @ 10/1
3.30 Dizzy G is sure to try and make all from the best of the draw, but she’s often a sitting duck late on and the back to form Highland Acclaim could run these down late on. The consistent Zumurud has clear claims.
¼ pt win Highland Acclaim @ 11/2
Selected Lingfield- First 3 polytrack, last 4 good to firm turf
2.10 A very weak opener and despite going up 7 pounds and also switching to polytrack, the well drawn and back to form Alicia Darby holds solid claims but preference is for the well drawn Yfenni, who went close over C&D earlier in the season off around this mark.
½ pt ew Yfenni @ 11/1
3.10 Another weak heat and recent C&D winner Brogans Bay is 7 pounds higher for that win and this front runner has the worst of the draw, and a couple of those better drawn , could steal a march on her. Hurricane Alert is well drawn and has gone close over C&D a few times and looks a nice ew bet.
½ pt ew Hurricane Alert @ 6/1
4.40 Rainbow Jazz won this last year off a higher mark and has showed a bit more of late to be interest from a good draw around a C&d he clearly likes and Charlie Bennett , who gets on so well with the tip, back in the saddle.
½ pt ew Rainbow Jazz @ 9/1
5.10 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Uttoxeter- good ground on this slightly undulating, quite sharp track with a galloping straight
2.20 This is very weak and it should finally be Royal Beekeper’s day who hasn’t shaped badly since joining Dan Skelton.
½ pt win Royal Beekeeper @ 11/4
2.50 The prolific Dutch Canyon goes for the 4 timer and this willing front runner could take some catching in what looks a winnable heat.
½ pt win Dutch Canyon @ 9/2
3.20 Looks vert much a match but as Henrietta Bell is likely to front run on ground she is proven on, could have the edge over Nordican Bleu, who has a bit to prove on quick ground.
½ pt win Henrietta Bell @ 13/8
3.50 PREMIUM RACE
4.20 This is not a deep race and offers a great chance for the in form Annie Angel, especially on her first start for Dan Skelton.
½ pt win Annie angel @ 7/4
No advice for Ireland
Selected Yarmouth- good to firm on this flat and galloping track
5.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.10 PREMIUM RACE
8.40 A weak finale and a short priced fav in Tone The Barone, who looks plenty vulnerable to me down in trip and still on a testing enough mark. Awarded usually races on the all weather, but quick turf form is not terrible and has been holding her form well of late. Big odds in a weak heat.
1/2 pt ew Awarded @ 12/1
No Yarmouth placepot
Selected Wolver- all weather – tapeta
5.50 Another weak heat and I’m with C&d specialist Viola Park, who has only recently returned from a break and is down to a good mark and well drawn. Likely to be front rank early and capable of landing this.
½ pt ew Viola Park @ 10/1
7.55 Desert Friend did well for Mark Johnston last year with 2 wins from just 3 tries and makes a belated reappearance for a new stable and also going up massively in trip. Grand inquisitor will find this tougher after some good runs in claiming company while the longer trip should help the Sir Mark Prescott runner Distant Chimes , whose horses always have ro be respected this time of year but preference for Super Kid, who came out of the wilderness with a last gap win at Chester in the mud . He’s been shoved up a few pounds, but has good form over C&D off higher marks than today and Jason Hart, who rode him so well last time , keeps the ride.
½ pt ew Super Kid @ 6/1
