The Ryan Moore Fortune for a fiver
20p ew yank & 30p ew acca
Harpocrates 2.25 @ 10/1
Constantinople 3.00 @ 9/4
Circus Marximus 3.35 @ 10/1
Hard Nut 4.50 @ 12/1
Selected bath- good to firm on this stiff but sharp track
1.45 Wotadoll stepped up on previous form this year with a win in a modest apprentice race at Windsor , and has no penalty so has to be considered despite this very different track Papa Delta has been holding his form well and his only poor run was on turf at the trip at Chepstow, but this al weather specialist has run well on turf in the past and this is winnable.
¼ pt win Papa Delta @ 11/2
2.15 The clear form horse is sand Diego and is nicely priced to go 3rd time lucky.
½ pt win Sand diego @ 5/2
2.50 PREMIUM RACE
3.25 There’s a stack of early pace in this and despite the fav, Heritage also liking to get busy early, he does see the trip out really well and despite a testing mark , is expected to run well again at his best track.
¼ pt win Heritage @ 9/4
4.05 You would expect the 3yo Road To Paris to be too good for modest older horses.
¾ pt win Road To Paris @ 4/5
5.15 PREMIUM RACE
Selected York- good ground on this flat and galloping track
1.55 PREMIUM RACE
2.25 Persuasion cost a packet but it looks money well spent as he won well first time of asking in a Goodwood maiden , and while the form hasn’t been tested, the manner of the win was impressive. At the odds I’m with Aidan O’Brien’s Harpocrates, whose level of form is pretty good and no issue with trip.
¼ pt win Harpocrates @ 10/1
3.00 acid test for Logician who is 3 from 3 but worth opposing in Group company with the useful Constantinople who has a 3 pound pull with the tough Nayef Road for a narrow defeat and this more conventional track will suit.
1pt win Constantinople @ 9/4
3.35 Crystal Clear is one of the best middle disrance older horse around, but on drying ground , on this speedy C&d, could be done for pace, as could trip dropper Japan . Elarqam has won 3 from his last 4 and comes here with strong claims but at the odds well happy to be with the useful Circus Maximus, who’s been running to a good level and is unexposed at this trip.
½ pt ew Circus Maximus @ 10/1
4.15 PREMIUM RACE
4.50 Pick the winner if you can, 22 juveniles in this nursery but we have a shortish priced fav in Oti Ma Boati who after landing a hat-trick for the top stable of Richard Fahey has been moved on to the top Southern stable of William Haggas and this late player has a good race make up with so much pace. The very wonderful Troubador 4 wins in his last 5 is now on a very testing mark , but has to be considered at long odds as does Hard Nut , noticed running on well At Glorious Goodwood and this more conventional track will suit.
¼ pe w each Troubador @ 16/1,, Hard Nut @ 12/1- why not , a small rev fc
Selected Carlisle- soft ground on this undulating, stiff and galloping track
2.05 Leapers Wood has a clear form edge and handles soft ground. This is a stiffer track than what he’s used to but the stable know the time of day here.
¾ pt win Leapers Wood @ 10/11
2.35 A few here have showed enough already to be in with a shout , but few have tried ground this soft.Kevin Ryan can ready a newcomer first time and he saddles dilithium, who didn’t come cheap and has entries in some big races. Worth a dabble.
¼ pt ew Dilithum @ 8/1
3.10 The softer ground is in the favour if Kolossus who may just have enough to land a desereved win. He’s up against two prolific and progressive 3yos in Ugo Gregory and Bedtime Bella, who both like the mud, but only the latter is proven on a stiff track.
¼ pt win Kolossus @ 9/2
3.45 This looks a 2 horse war between the har-trick seeking Four wheel Drive, who hasn’t looked back since joining David brown and no issues with ground or probably track, but goes up in grade which gives the edge to the in form Music Society, who likes the mud and a stiff circuit.
¾ pt win Music Society @ 5/2
4.25 A tricky stayers handicap and a chance can be given to many but the in form Beechwood Jude is worth the try at this longer trip and worth a dabble.
¼ pt win Beechwood Jude @ 11/2
4.55 veteran Remember Rocky is going well, has a good draw, likes the C&d and handles the ground, so has to be a very nice ew play where most of the market leaders are poorly drawn.
½ pt ew Remember Rocky @ 14/1
5.25 Not s deep race and My Boy Lewis bounced back to form with a god 5th last time after a couple of woeful efforts. Earlier in the season he was an excellent 3rd over C&D in the mud off around this mark, but first time cheekpieces worry me and preference is for multi ox ticker Power Player.
¼ pt winPower Player @ 5/1
5.55 Lucky Icon has been going very in Ireland over hurdles winning off marks around 120. Which is 85 on the flat, and runs off just 46 today !!! He has his first run for philip Kirby after changing hands for £40,000 ! This could be a rout, but he is priced accordingly so I’d rather have an ew play on Frightened Rabbit, who was looking easy to take on with so many placed efforts and no wins, but since a win at Hexham over hurdles, he’s held his form really well and he too is on a terrific mark back on the flat.
½ pt ew Frightened Rabbit @ 11/2
Worcester- good ground on this flat and galloping track- speed track
5.00 Few come here with serious claims and a bit worried about the in form front running Isle Of Road away from his beloved Newton Abbot on this more galloping circuit. Skinflint continues to knock at the door and as he’s proven here , this could be his day .
¾ pt win Skinflint @ 5/2
5.30 Second race back from a long break is the acid test for Spring Steel and looks a bouncer to me. Dandridge is so hard to win with but no such problems for the in form King Alonso, who’s now on a testing mark but looks manageable in this event .
½ pt win King Alfonso @ 4/1
6.00 Bally Longford is far more of a chaser, and at longer trips, so this front runner will have to go quite a clip to get competitive . the hard to win with Ormesher will be joining in while Full Bore and That’s A given wont be far behind. None of these four make any appeal off their marks or with the race make up so it presents a great opportunity for the capable track specialist Really Super, who I expect to sit off the pace and to assert in the closing stages. See you in The Winners’ Circle Josh, hope you’ve polished your shoes !
¾ pt win Really Super @ 7/2
6.00 West End Flyer has won 2 of his 3 starts , in some style, but does carry a double penalty, which is never easy and New millennium could be dangerous if allowed too much rope up front.
7.00 A big field with a couple who have been in good form since handicapping at this trip and ground. North Star Oscar is with a good stable and won well at this trip at FFos las before finding the extra yardage and softer ground next time at Stratford, but still ran well for a long way. The first time tongue tie is fine with the stable and Dicky Johnson rides. Commander Miller runs in famous colours for a tip top stable and showed his first bit of worthwhile over C&D last time, but drying ground is no help.
½ pt ew North Star Oscar @ 7/1
7.30 A weak novice hurdle and a good opportunity for decent bumper horse Pogo I Am to take this first time of asking over hurdles for a good stable.
½ pt win Pogo I Am @ 13/8
8.00 Stonemsdforspeed goes a terrific gallop from the front over this C&D and is likely to have his own way up front. Doesn’t win many , but is down to a good mark.
½ pt ew Stonemadforspeed @ 12/1
Selected Kempton – all weather- polytrack
5.45 D Day has the form to double up on a much improved effort on his 2nd start, but does have a penalty and no encouragement from pedigree for the switch to polytrack.
6.15 Inclyne is certainly the form horse but has had s heap of chances and certainly not for me at odds on .
6.45 I’m surprised that Angel Mead is such long odds in this winnable heat and is chanced up in trip ad first time on the surface.
¼ pt win Angel Mead @ 10/1
7.15 This has a winnable look to it with the fav Mawakib now on a tough mark. Al Jellaby is very well drawn for a prominent racer and the return to polytrack no issue. Doesn’t win many, but this a good opportunity.
½ pt ew Al Jellaby @ 7/1
7.45 Distant Chimes is a perfect 3 from 3 this season but is up again in the weights , up in trip and new to the track. The consistent General Zoff is the best of the rest and looks most solid ew.
½ pt ew General Zoff @ 9/2
8.15 If zuba can secure an early lead , he should be away and gone against beateable rivals.
1/ 2 pt win Zuba @ 7/4
8.45 Indian Viceroy went close over C&D when trying to make all from a bad draw, but has been nudged up the weights for his efforts , so preference is for Lady Of Aran, now back to her best trip
¼ pt win Lady Of Aran @ 5/1
