Selected Southwell- good ground on this flat and sharp track- speed track
2.10 Utility has really stepped up of late and after landing a handicap over C&D, in some style, stepped up in class , and again won really well , beating a good field of higher rated rivals, the win coming over C&D . He’s hold up type and the young rider rides him well. He has a double penalty and has to concede a chunk of weight to the decent hurdler Snapdragon Fire, which you would think would be too big an ask, but there are factors which make the tip a good bet. His main rival is having his first chase , so impossible to know how he will respond to larger obstacles at racing speed but more of a negative is that over hurdles he was a Ludlow specialist, another speed track but right handed , in fact he was kept mostly to right handed tracks all season, so this sharp left handed circuit could see him all at sea. He’s a prominent racer and so are the two outclassed runners so not a lot going for him.
¾ pt win Utility @7/4
2.40 Jaxlight come here on the back of two good seconds but a harsh 7 pound hit wont help and clear preference is for the in form and consistent Patsio . this will take little winning .
½ pt win Patsio @ 10/3
3.10 PREMIUM RACE
3.40 Youngster Slaine has won 3 of his last 4 and the recent penalty could have been harsher and against more exposed rivals, another win looks on. He’s won here before.
½ pt win Slaine @ 6/4
Selected Uttoxeter – good ground on this mostly sharp track with a long galloping straight
1.50 Better can be expected from the hard to win with Mr Love down to a good mark and also having his first run for top trainer Dan Skelton , but I’d rather be with the enthusiastic Stonemadforspeed who goes a good gallop, most willingly, from the front. He comes here on the back of two most solid efforts at around this trip at Worcester, his best track, but has run well here too.
¼ pt ew Stonemadforspeed @ 13/2
2.50 The last time winners in Organdie, Miss Tynte and Aweemint , all young enough to progress further but at the odds prefer a play on the well treated Gday Aussie who showed a lot more last time.
¼ pt ew Gday Aussie @ 12/1
3.20 Full marks to former Hunter Asockstar who since joining this stable and going handicapping has taken his firm to a new level and is now rated a lofty 137, which looks within his scope as he chased home Demi Sang off this mark on the Cartmel mud , and a return to quick ground very much in his favour. He continues to run well and wont fail for lack of effort.
½ pt win Asockstar @ 4/1
Selected Bath- firm ground on this sharp but still track
2.00 Looks a penalty kick for lorna Cole against modest rivals.

3.00 PREMIUM RACE
3.30 Geetanjali is a most likeable type who has taken her form to a new level landing a double in the process, but a hefty penalty and a longer trip could well find her out.Hope is High is down to a good mark and in 6 runs here has 2 wins and 4 places !
¼ pt ew Hope is High @ 6/1

4.30 Another runner with an easy task with Amorously, who should take the penalty in her stride.
½ pt win Amorously @ evens
Hamilton abandoned – waterlogged
Selected Chelmsford City- all weather- polytrack
5.45 Rocket Dancer improved considerably on his first run with a good 2nd at Leicester splitting a decent pair. He is related to a stack of all weather winners , so should reiish the switch to synthetics, but has the worst of the draw. Still the one to beat.
½ pt win Rocket Dancer @ 5/2
6.15 Furioso won well over C&d last time and is 1 from 1 at this trip. This is a very different type of race which could be run at a crawl. Will take some beating but at odds on easy to swerve.
6.45 PREMIUM RACE
7.15 Dubai Warrior runs for a top stable and is 2 from 2, both wins coming on polytrack and has looked a very able type, so much so, he’s entered in 3 Group 1’s , so his opening mark could be a joke .The longer trip shouldn’t be an issue but you do worry about his race profile, long gaps between his races . The consistent Desert Fire was practically pulled up at Epsom last time when the rider lost his irons. Prior to that he was an excellent 2nd over C&D off around this mark and a worthy adversary for the odds on fav.
¼ pt win Desert Fire @ 4/1
8.15 Lawmaking was a close 3rd over C&D but wins are hard to come by and the stable runners are 0 from 17 after a wind-op. Pheidipedes put together a useful series of efforts earlier in the season on this surface and his only win came off around this mark, His recent comeback spin was promising and a nice ew bet in a race where not many count .
¼ pt ew Pheidippides @ 11/1
