Selected Redcar- good to firm on this flat and galloping track
2.00 The clear form horse is River Cam, 2nd in all 3 runs , recording a decent level every time. He drops in trip today , but is very fair odds to possibly make all as he’s been showing plenty of early toe
½ pt win River Cam @ 15/8
2.30 Short priced fav in the consistent Lord of The Alps who comes here on the back of a good effort at Beverley on easy ground, so very different conditions today. This is hardly a deep nursery and I prefer the chance of light The Fuse who improved considerably for the switch to nurseries, this trip and ground with a good 2nd at Epsom . He’s been bunged up 3 pounds but there was a long way back to anything else last time, so the form looks strong.
½ pt win Light The Fuse @ 4/1
3.00 Athollblair Boy comes here in tremendous form but he’s a better horse in big field run at a breakneck pace and also goes up in trip today, which shouldn’t be an issue. A good pace is on which will help his cause but he’s never done well at this track and on early season form is held by Tadaawol , who has let the side down of late, but does go well here and worth a play .
¼ pt win Tadaawol @ 7/1
3.30 It’s hard to see Buccaneer’s Vault doubling up going up in grade and the ratings while Golden Parade is finding life tougher off his new mark. He was a decent 2nd over C&d recently with Mr Wagyu finishing alongside and with a good pull in the weights, this could be his day.
¼ pt ew Mr Wagyu @ 7/1
4.00 PREMIUM RACE
4.30 Call Me Ginger is the odds on fav, but not an appealing bet considering he returns from a 7 months break and has only ever raced on the Newcastle tapeta. Desert Land is starting to look expensive and the drop In trip unlikely to help. Danzena is bred to be useful but hasn’t showed much in two starts, but not ruled out.
Selected Yarmouth – good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.40 Buhturi looked good when winning at Haydock and his good stable then stepped him up in class , but the longer trip and softer ground against him. He comes here on the back of a solid effort in a big field nursery , but does carry the dreaded penalty today. Tempting at around 6/4, but happy to watch
3.10 The lightly raced El Misk is with a top stable and won well on polytrack last time and no issue with he switch back to fast turf. At this trip he should be up to beating his two rivals.
¾ pt win El Misk @ 5/6
3.40 Short priced fav in Sea of Mystery who won well at Leicester last time and as the 2nd horse has won since , the form looks better than it did at the time. He has no penalty for that win and should be OK over the longer trip. Many of these ae just out of form , on tough marks or over a trip further then their best. Incredible dream is on a declining mark and showed a lot more like it 2 runs back with a close 4th of 16 over C&d , and runs off a 3 pound lower mark today. He was on his best behaviour that day, but can be a bit of a tinker, but at massive odds, worth a dabble.
¼ pt ew Incredible Dream @ 20/1
4.10 A weak maiden and an odds on shot in Imhotep whose promising debut came on polytrack . Not much to beat , but not for me at odds on.
No Yarmouth placepot
Selected Chepstow- good ground on this undulating, galloping and quite stiff track
The first five races are all unappealing prospects with the 2.20 and 3.20 very tricky handicaps, the 2.50 & 4.20 massively uncompetitive and the likely winners are short priced maidens and the 3.50 looks destined to a 2/5 shot, but not bombproof .
I’m only having two plays but both Members only.

Selected Newcastle- all weather- tapeta. The track is stiff and galloping
5.30 Southern raider Dreamwalker is holding his form well off this mark and trip but tries this surface for the first time ,but the Southern stable does well here and fairly priced .
½ pt win Dreamwalker @ 15/8
6.00 The last time we saw the front running Natty Night was when he chased home the new wonder horse Logician at Newbury and the 3rd horse has done well since. Worth a dabble.
¼ pt win Natty Night @ 7/2
6.30 Ravenscar did really well on debut but it did come on quick turf and not bred for this surface and the stable’s record here most modest. Festina ran well on debut at Wolver running on well so this stiffer track will be her favour in this weak heat .
½ pt win Festina @ 7/4
7.00 An odds on fav in Faakhirah who ran well on debut on turf but didn’t see her race out that well so question marks regarding tonight’s stiffer test.
7.30 Both the recent track winner in Home Before dark and Insurplus have work to do under penalties and at this trip. The consistent Toro dorado has to be considered while both Pickett’s Charge and Newmarket Warrior have good form over C&d in the book. Sir Michael Stoute does well here and runs Fiery Mission, who wears the Frankel colours but hasn’t showed much thus far. Cameo star is running well and with no issues over C&D , a nice longshot.
¼ pt ew Cameo Star @ 12/1
8.00 My Havana showed a lot more handicapping at this trip last time and off a reduced mark looks a lively longshot. There are all weather winners in the family and the stable has winners here.
1/2pt ew My Havana @ 20/1
8.30 A big ask for Groundworker with a hefty penalty but despite the rise In the ratings, the reliable The Grey Zebedee is holding his form pretty well but form here a bit in and out. Gorgeous General is another who holds hid form well despite a testing mark and as he goes well here, worth a dabble, despite the first time blinkers not being a positive for the stable. There’s been a lot of money for Be proud, who drops considerably in trip and best form on turf, but the stable has plenty of winners here, but not an appealing prospect at just 2/1.
1/4pt ew Gorgeous General @ 8/1
