Hoping for Jubilation in July

June was a very difficult month with a stack of long priced unlikely winners and many horses with very solid chances

running way below their chance. As the month went on, the winners started coming and i found a number of double

figure odds winners . We came out with a loss but the laying service managed a small profit . Racing is more settled

and I expect a far better level of success in July .

You remain with a tipster at the very top of the game and in  December I won The Rating The Races

Tipping competition coming out on top of some 250 other entrants.

I was also runner up in the Elite Section of a different online tipster comp

The problems with registration appear to have resurfaced but I have somebody working on it.

If you have problems PLEASE contact me via e-mail .

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

St Ives a Sunny Prospect

Today’s Fortunes for a fiver

The Awesome Acca- pays £80

£5 acca Tabarrak 3.55 @ 10/11

Marvel 6.50 @ 5/4

Ruthless Article 2.00 @ 11/8

Caius Marcius 4.10 @ 8/15

The Delightful Double

£2.50 ew double

St Ives 2.55 @ 6/1

Picture Painter 4.45 @ 10/3

The Terrific Trixie

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Tommy Rock 1.15 @ 10/3

Smoking Bear 1.50 @ 2/1

El Naseri 1.40 @ 3/1

Selected Newbury- good to firm on this flat and galloping track

1.15 Tommy Rock was fancied to make a winning debut at Bath and the manner in which he ran on in the closing stages suggests this longer trip will suit. The form is good as the 2nd horse has won since.

¼ pt win Tommy Rock @ 10/3

1.50 Smokey Bear brings a good level of form to this contest and can put his  experience to good use .

¼ pt win Smokey Bear @ 2/1

2.55 This nursery has a winnable look and the unbeaten Macho Time has good enough form, but the longer trip a definite concern . St Ives never got competitive in a big field Class 1 last time but previous run off this mark well good enough to land this.

½ pt win St Ives @ 6/1

3.25 Cape Palace is a 4/9 shot to follow up his impressive debut win which came on the Newcastle tapeta. Could be anything but no appeal at the odds.

No Bet

3.55 At the weights the useful Tabarrak should be landing this with ease. No issues with ground ot C&d.

¾ pt win Tabarrak @ 10/11

5.05 A very winnable finale and despite the 5 pound hit, Starfighter could well double up against modest opposition.

¼ pt win Starfighter @ 9/4

Newbury placepot

Selected Ayr- probably good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.40 El Naseri ran well on debut at Thirsk and the form is solid enough to go one better.

¼ pt win El Naseri @ 3/1

2.40 A quintet of Irish raiders and their best hopes are Isabeau and Ickworth but I like the look of the speedy Dr Simpson who struggled last time when upped in trip but previous form at this distance offers sound ew claims.

1/2 pt ew Dr Simpson @ 10/1

3.45 Despite the big field there is little early pace and significantly yesterday over this C&D a high drawn front runner looked like making all until getting collared late on , but still ran way above expectations. Dark Defender could be coming into this in better form but has dropped to his last winning mark and has 3 wins here on his CV . Both Pendleton and lucky lucky Man have clear claims.

½ pt ew Dark Defender @ 40/1 !!

Ayr Placepot

Selected Newton Abbot- good to firm on this flat and sharp track.

2.00 Despite the penalty Ruthless Article will take some beating against rivals hard to win with.

¾ pt win Ruthless Article @ 11/8

2.30 Quite an open contest with all of Mr Mafia, The Caller and Bermeo having clear claims but the C&D form of Exxaro gives him the nod.

¼ pt ew Exxaro @ 6/1

3.05 Take your pick between Nordican Bleue and Carpool, the even money joint favs. A great race for the headless ones as if you get it right, doubled your wedge, but half of thise will come away long faced.

No Bet

3.35 Sizing Tara won really well here last time but the drying ground no help. Patsio struggled last time down in trip and this enthusiastic front runner will appreciate today’s extra yardage.

¼ pt ew Patsio @ 12/1

4.10 Caius Marcius has developed into a useful chaser , now rated a lofty 147 and one of is wins came over C&D. Nicky Richards brings him again on the 700 mile round trip and only misfortune can prevent a 4th win in his last 5.

1pt win Caius Maximus @ 8/15

4.45 Picture Painter responded very well being stepped up in trip over this C&d with a very smooth success, and did little wrong again over C&d when 3rd despite the 14 pound hit. He’s down 7 pounds today and also todays’ ground more suitable. Should be too good for these.

½ pt win Picture Painter @ 10/3

Newton Abbot placepot

Selected Newcastle- all weather- tapeta- The track is stiff and galloping

5.15 Looks very much a match between the pair of progressive 3yos in Blame It On Sally and Anyonecanhaveitall . the former comes here on a hat-trick after front running successes at this trip at Kempton and Bath but the form of his main rival has more substance to it and has less to do at the weights. Both are new to this surface but both come from stables no strangers to success here. Blame It On Sally will have the run of the race from the front but still favour the other.

1/2pt win Anyonecanhaveitall @ 11/8

5.50 Hooflepuff only landed a claimer last time beating an unreliable one and would need to improve to land this on his first start for Brian Ellison , who has plenty of wines here. Raashdy has been going well over hurdles since joining this stable, a lot better than what he was doing on the flat for his previous stable. On old form he’d be entitled to go well. There was little between Lyford, Majestic Stone and Smart Lass over C&D last time and the winner has run well since. The latter ran well on her first start for the good stable of Iain Jardine and looks way overpriced .

¼ pt ew Smart Lass @ 18/1

6.20 This looks another match between Island Storm and Urban Hero , whose form is of a pretty similar quality , but on a line through the consistent Overpriced Mixer , the former has the edge and the stable is 2 from 2 here with juveniles .

½ pt win Island Storm @ 7/4

6.50 A great opportunity for Marvel to break his duck after a solid 2nd over C&D last time. Main rival Lucky Charm returned from a long break with a below par run and is also looking hard to win with.

¾ pt win Marvel @ 5/4

7.20 Chaplin Bay comes here on the back of two wins on turf and returns to this C&D, where he’s won twice on a workable mark .

½ pt win Chaplin Bay @ 4/1

7.50 Najm’s best run came over this C&D and is handily weighted on that effort and can be forgiven  a poor run last time as he had an equipment malfunction.

¼ pt ew Najm @ 11/1

8,20 It’s hard to see Fard doubling up at a track he’s struggled on in the past and also under a penalty. C&D winner Rockley Point has plummeted to a very good mark and despite recent efforts not being great, is too well treated to ignore and of course we know he goes well here.

½ pt ew Rockley Point @ 22/1

Newcastle placepot
