Selected Thirsk – good ground on this flat and speedy track
1.00Mark Johnston has had a stack of 2yo winners this term and High Peak was expected to add to that list but could only manage 2nd. This longer trip looks a smart move and looks a most solid short priced fav .
¾ pt win High Peak @ 5/6
1.30 Not a deep contest and the front running Kilig went close a few times off this mark . He ran well on his recent comeback spin and good chance to nail that elusive first win .
¼ pt win Kilig @ 10/3
2.40 Not a deep race at all and it offers a great opportunity for the reliable The Big House who did very well to win at Catterick last year from the worst of the draw and has run this C&d well off around this mark . Big chance .
¾ pt win The Big House @ 10/3
3.50 There was money for Blazing Hot on debut and accordingly ran well . he’s one to watch as his price rocketed from yearling to 2yo . quick Recap has stronger form but inconsistent .
½ pt win Blazing Hot @ 5/4
4.50 Quanah has done little wrong of late with 3 wins in his last 4 and the 3 pound hit could have been far worse as he won last time cleverly on the tapeta but no issue with the switch to turf . slight preference for the reliable Fox Hill who in Class 6 has a record of 2 wins and a place from 3 runs.
¼ pt win Fox Hill @ 6/1
Royal Ascot – good ground on this stiff and galloping track
1.15 PREMIUM RACE
1.50 The Queen Anne Stakes
I was with Circus Maximius when he won here last year at long odds and held his form well after and comes into this in good trim and another win is very possible , but this is a competitive heat and preference is for the 4 timer seeking Duke of Hazard who ticks one more box than the tip , proven on a straight track .
1/4 pt ew Duke of Hazard @ 14/1
2.25 The Ribbledale Stakes
A short priced fav in the lightly raced frankly Darling who runs in famous colours for the Gosden stable and really impressed last time wining well on the Newcastle tapeta and while the value of hat form leaves her with something to find , we are unlikely to have seen the best of her. Trefoli won well on debut last year in the Newmarket mud and in just her 2nd race did well t come off the pace to be a running on 3rd on her comeback spin at Newmarket. Looks ready for this longer trip and a nice ew play .
¼ p tew Trefoli @ 5/1
3.00 The King Edward VII stakes .
An odds shot in Mogul who has a pacesetter in the field but he had his limitations exposed at Newcastle in a red hot Group 1 won by 2000 Guineas hero Kameko but still ran to a god level. He’s up against a couple of unexposed sorts in Mohican Heights and Papa power and Pyledriver brings solid form into the event . Well happy just to watch
3.35 The Kings Stand Stakes
A substandard renewal of this Group 1 sprint and it looks very good for last yea’s 2nd in Battaash who is likely to be front rank and have too much pace for the others. He has been known to throw in the odd bad one , but he’s a class ahead of these . The revived Glass slippers comes here on a 4 timer but all wins came in France in the mud.
1pt win Battaash @ 5/6

Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
4.00 Seneca Chief returned to his very best for an unexpected win at Wolver last time but you have to worry about him holding his form on just his 3rd race after a very long absence and the wide draw is no help . This wont take much winning and very much like the look of the reliable Bernies Boy, who is tactically versatile but from a handy draw, wouldn’t surprise me of he tried to make all and succeeded . The consistent Our Man In Havana is hard to win with and drop in trip no help.
¾ pt win Bernies Boy @ 5/1
4.35 This is not a deep race and despite both the penalty and the wide draw, Bal Mal is the one to beat .
½ pt win Bal Mal @ 7/4
5.10 The in form Who Told Jo Jo went close off this mark last time so is now proven on the surface and from a good draw has a clear chance .
¾ pt win who Told Jo JO @ 2/1
5.40 Not a deep heat and a good chance of a double for Irish times who goes well after a break .
½ pt win Irish Times @ 3/1
6.45 Musse D’Orsay hasn’t had much racing and is well drawn but a 6 pound hit will test . sharp Operator is a regular her and despite not winning many, has the form to land this from a good draw.
¼ pt win Sharp Operator @ 4/1
7.45 Another most winnable race and a most solid chance for the clear form horse in Beat The breeze after a good 2nd off this mark on polytrack at this distance .
½ pt win Beat The Breeze @ 5/2
8.45 All of these struggle to get their noses in front so happy to play one of the more lightly raced ones in hidden Pearl who went well first time out last season and no issues with mark or C&D.
¼ p tew Hidden Pearl @ 8/1

Selected Windsor- good ground on this flat and quick track
5.30 Zamaani ran well on debut which looked a warm maiden and the longer trip a bonus. Draw a concern as is the quick track , but should be too strong for these .
¾ pt win Zamaani @ 13/8
6.00 This is not a deep contest and offers a good chance to Bonus to double up for a facile win at Yarmouth on his first handicap and could be ahead of the game .
½ pt win Bonus @ 7/4
7.00 Many of these are struggling to get their noses in front so happy to play Northern raider in Tenax who is fir from a recent comeback spin and went close off higher marks last season . The Nigel Tinkler stable has done well with his raids here in the past .
½ pt win Tenax @ 8/1
7.30 The bang in form Mythical Madness went close off this mark yesterday so is a definite contender as is the lightly raced Narak but the longer trip will have to offset the nudge up the weights Lethal Missile is fit from a recent decent effort at Kempton when he was backed as if they expected better than his 3rd. He is 2 from 2 over C&D , both wins coming off much lower marks but recent efforts suggest his present mark is workable .
½ pt win Lethal Missile @ 7/2
