Selected Bath- good to firm on this sharp but stiff track
12.00 Plenty of recent winners in this but all penalised stiffly and prefer a play on a longshot I Chasanda, who won on debut last year so the long absence is no issue and is both well treated at the weights and well drawn.
¼ pt ew Chasanda @ 33/1
12.30 looks an easy task for Bright Armor but he is 4/7 !
1.05 Not a deep race and the back to form Cappananty Con has more to do under a penalty and on quicker ground . Gherkin is running well and despite the wide draw , ticks plenty of other boxes .
¼ pt win Gherkin @ 3/1
1.35 Delegate the Lord has a terrific here but is now on an uncomfortable mark . I gave Union Rose a really good chance over C&d last time but didn’t fire due to some unexpected rain .Lively longshot in this .
¼ pt ew Union Rose @ 14/1
2.05 Rideson is well related and runs for a top stable and is remarkably consistent 7 runs, 6 seconds and a 3rd , so you do worry about her resolution in the finish but did little wrong in her first turf start last time and this stiffer track could make it her big day , at last .
½ pt win Rideson @ 13/8
2.35 PREMIUM RACE
3.10 A most winnable race as the short priced fav , the lightly raced Willy Willy, looks unlikely to appreciate the drop in trip . Lawyersgunsnmoney has form off this mark and the stable uses first time blinkers well . Worth a dabble .
¼ pt win Lawyersgunsnmoney @ 10/1
3.40 Looks a match but at this trip aquascape could have the edge over Tenfold , but happy to swerve .
Selected Southwell – good ground on this flat , sharp and quick track
12.15 Only one of these has experience over fences but Knockmaole Boy is unlikely to figure in this. The bookies make Ferrobin , whose form tailed off disappointingly last season and Thibault , who is on a testing mark, the short priced joint favs which makes the odds about former point winner Youracert who ran well after a break last year and should be suited to this C&D .
½ pt win Youracert @ 9/1
2.20 Medalla D’or ran a cracker over this tight C&d last time and this front runner will be very hard to catch, but is 2/5 .
2.55 Rhythm Is a dancer ran very well here in quite a deep handicap giving every impression this longer trip will suit .
½ pt win Rhythm is A Dancer @ 2/1
3.25 I’m a very good friend of one of the owners of Golden Emblem who ran well in her only other race , an easy ground bumper . She returns after a lengthy break but will appreciate the longer trip but a slight worry regarding drying ground and a tight C&D, but is with a good stable and STD a positive jockey booking.
¼ pt win Golden Emblem @ 5/1
4.30 Musical stardust is very hard to knock and in 7 runs last year came out with 2 wins and no worse than a 5th . She’s high enough in the weights but goes well fresh and has the ground in her favour and runs tight tracks well.
¼ pt win Musical Stardust @ 5/1
Night racing fortune for a fiver
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Tommy G 5.50 @8/1
Susie Javea 6.35 @ 4/1
Choral Work 8.15 @ 3/1
Selected Ripon – good ground on this undulating, sharp and quick track
4.25 Miss Milby brings comfortably the best form to the table with two good seconds but not for me at short odds from a dodgy draw and trying a very different track .
5.00 A very weak sprint and the fav is the in form Alba De sole, but the 7 pound penalty is stiff and this track very different from his beloved Leicester , but hard to be with anything else too .
6.05 Round The Island is the short priced fav dropping In both the ratings and in grade but despite being a C&d winner , that was in the early part of the career and is a Ponty specialist , a much different type of track and the low draw is tricky but similar to the last race, the event is us for grabs , but nothing in the field is hinting at a win .
6.35 The fav is Jaaneh who runs In famous colours and for a top Southern stable with a great record here but hasn’t done nearly enough to justify his status today .Herbert pocket was a decent 4th last time but the form has taken a few knocks. Susie Javea comes here on the back of two good 2nds and despite a small nudge in the ratings , this well drawn filly can nail a deserved and overdue win .
½ pt win Susie Javea @ 4/1
7.05 A very weak event and all of these find winning tough . Can’t really argue with the bookies making Volcano Bay a short priced fav after a couple of decent efforts, better than anything else in the field, but a race I can let go .
7.35 Another low grade affair and it’s rare for good trainer Jedd O’Keefe to have a runner in this level and his seven for a pound has showed enough to land this .
¼ pt win Seven For A pound @ 4/1
8.15 The in form Sudona is not out of this despite the penalty and the longer trip but preference for the William Haggas youngster in Choral Work, who runs in famous colours and on a very fair mark in her first handicap with trip and ground to suit.
½ pt win Choral Work @ 3/1
Selected Ayr- good ground on this flat and galloping track
5.15 The in form pair of The Big House and House deposit are now on testing marks so slight preference for the luckless My Boy Lewis, who himself is on a testing mark but form stacks up a bit better .
¼ pt win My Boy Lewis @ 6/1
5.50 The penalty gives Right action a tough task while Prompting has his first start for David O’Meara returning from a break and has raced exclusively on synthetics . Eric Bloch returned to form last time but this track will test his speed . Tommy G has dropped to a really good mark and has 3 C&d wins in the bag , all off much higher marks . He had little chance on his comeback sprint at Hamilton in the mud dropping in trip and worth chancing at good odds in a winnable heat.
½ pt win Tommy G @ 8/1

7.25 It should finally be Glen Force’s day for I can skip him at short odds .
