Just having the one play at Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
Geological is a terrific racehorse who always run his race and comes here on the back of some typical big runs on turf in the face of stiff tasks . He likes to front run and could well have a soft time up front looking at his rivals’ racing styles. . He’s won here 7 times , has a good draw and Colin keane a most positive booking . He’s now on a very testing mark , but just hoping he can pinch a few lengths from the front and keep it going. We know for sure he’ll be trying .
½ p tew Geological @ 15/2
Selected Newmarket- good to firm on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
1.30 Olympic Theatre ran well here on debut and backed that up with a good 2nd at Windsor , a track which wouldn’t play into his strengths . The extra furlong looks a smart move and looks a most solid fav .
¾ pt win Olympic Theatre @ 7/4
2.05 A tough race to unravel. Especially with a trip of unexposed youngsters at the foot of the handicap . Zuba is most consistent and was unlucky to be chinned over C&D last time , but stays on the same mark , so shouldn’t be far away again .
¼ pt ew Zuba @ 7/1
2.40 Karibana comes here on a hat-trick and will take some stopping . He’s won his last two as he liked and despite the hefty 6 pound hit , looks ahead of the game . He’s a c&D winner on quick ground and is much preferred to the other form horse in Broughtons Gold who has a bit to prove at the ratings and on quicker ground .
¾ pt win Karibana @15/8
3.15 One of my favourite spectacles if the season, the Newmarket sprint for greys , and a few of these have tried this race before, to various levels of success, but dual winner Case Key comes here in terrific form and despite a testing mark is preferred . He likes to dominate and shoudn’t be pestered much up front with an absence of early pace in the race. He was a good 2nd at Yarmouth last time behind the mightily progressive Aristocratic Lady off his new mark, 6 pounds higher than his previous win , but the able Angus Villiers takes off a handy 5 pounds and I expect an al the way win.
½ pt win Case Key @ 5/1
4.25 A very open event but I liked the way Grand Rumore toughed out the win last time and could be up to overcoming the penalty under a prominent ride .
½ pt win Grande Rumore @ 9/2
Selected Newbury – good to soft on this flat and galloping track
2.25 Afllak ran a stormer sat Glorious Goodwood off this mark and will be suited by the softer ground and more conventional track .
½ pt win Afaak @ 7/2
3.35 The Group 2 Hungerford Stakes and the clear fav is the consistent yet hard to win with dream of Dreams , who’s only won 2 of his last 17 starts, a poor return for a horse rated a lofty 117, which gives him a most comfortable buffer against today’s opposition , but he is the type I’m always keen to take on. The dark horse is the German raider Namos , who’s won 4 of his 10 starts and regularly runs to his good mark of 105 . Trip and ground are no issues and the stable has been successful quite a few tries in the UK .
¼ pt ew Namos @ 9/1
5.55 A handicap for amateur riders and wise to be with an accomplished rider and for some years now Simon Walker has been the rider to be with and he partners the back to form C’est No Mour , a ready winner at Salisbury on quick ground and then a solid 3rd at Windsor on easy ground . The jockey knows the tip well with 2 wins and a place from 3 tries aboard this late player and no reason why he shouldn’t be in the mix again . The admirable Songkran goes for the 5 timer but would do well to go in again with a 6 pound penalty and new to soft ground , but can’t be ruled out .
¼ pt ew C’Est No Mour @ 11/2

Selected Donny- good to firm on this flat and galloping track
2.50 PREMIUM RACE
3.25 PREMIUM RACE
4.00 Breanski has won this in the last two years off similar marks, but has looked held of late off his rating and has showed a preference of late for slower ground . Fleeting Prince did little wrong when a close 4th at Glorious Goodwood off around this mark in his first try at this trip, which makes him a most lively longshot today .
¼ pt ew Fleeting Prince @ 14/1
4.35 PREMIUM RACE
5.05 Kings Lynn will be very hard to beat on his comeback spin, but easy to pass at odds on .
5.40 None of these are the finished article but New Chapter looks the one to beat, but short enough at just 6/4
No advice from Chepstow tonight . The going is now soft and with the vast majority if the runners having their first experience racing when the mud is flying , it looks a complete lottery
