Livia's Dream 3.20 Ling @ 12/1
Dynamic Drive 3.30 Sedge @ 13/2
Simply Wings 3.40 Strt @ 6/1
Pour la Victoire 4.20 Ling @ 11/4
Lingfield- all weather- polytrack.
12.50 It’s not a string opener and the very short odds on fa is Sir Michael Stoute’s Crystal Zvezda who ran only Ok on her debut but is related to a couple of classy types including Hillview. She herself is entered in next year’s classics, so they obviously think a lot about her, but at 4/7 I can pass. Both Colorado and Regal pass have fair form but nothing exciting an if there is a surprise it could come form Godolphin’s newcomer Fine View .
1.20 Joint favs here with Alfajer, whose second at Newmarket is nothing to get excited about , and Sharqeyih, whose form looks the stronger. I’m with Faery Song who is bred for yhis surface and ran a very solid race on her debut.
¼ pt ew faery Song @ 7/1
1.50 Hills and Dales brings decent turf form to the table but isn’t obviously bred for this surface, and he ran an absolute stinker last time. Longside is consistent and the linger trip should suit but I give the nod to Swot, who has a similar level of form and his powerful stable thought he was worthy of running in a Class 2 last time.
¼ pt win Swot @ 5/1
2.20 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 A very good quality mile for fillies and quite a few of these have a similar high rating .I’m with Crowley’s Law who comes here on the back of an excellent second in a hot race in Turkey and though she’s yet to race on this surface , she has siblings who were very good on polytrack. The main dangers are Wahgah and Water Hole, but they both could do with a slightly longer trip. The tip is well drawn and will take some beating.
1.25 pts win Crowley’s Law @ 5/1
3.20 Another excellent fillies race but this time over a mile and a quarter. In last year’s race I tipped up Livia’s Dream, who came second at 100/1 ! yes a hundred to one . She will not be that price today but will still carry my money. She is one of the highest rated and her current form is really good. She is well drawn and surly wont be far away. The fav is the much improved Hidden Gold, and this one will take some beating but is only about 5/2.
1pt ew Livia’s Dream @ 12/1
3.50 An excellent Class 2 handicap , but it does have a winnable look about it and I’m with the vastly improved Athletic. Every time the handicapper gives him more to do, who bounces back with a very good run. He is very well drawn and the very lovely Jenny Powell gets on very well with him.
½ pt ew Athletic @ 12/1
4.20 An apprentices handicap to end the card and it’s going to be fast and furious with confirmed front runners Bertie Blu Boy and Clapperboard in the field and Meddling will want to join in also. Clapperboard has the best draw so should last the longest but this is set up for a finisher and it must come in the shape of Pour La Victoire, who was beaten a short head last time , when going for home too early, and broke the hearts of Premium members. He has a brilliant draw today and a brilliant make up and he looks very good indeed.
1.5 pts win Pour la Victoire @ 11/4
Sedgefield – good ground on this undulating and tight track

1.30 PREMIUM RACE
2.00 Sendiym is on a right old roll and another big run over C&D is on the cards. It’s a very winnable race and I’m with Mulligans Man, who after a bright start for Donald McCian, declined quite quickly and recently joined the in form stable of William Kinsey. He is very well handicapped and is certainly worth a bet at massive odds, despite the risks
½ pt ew Milligan’s Man @ 20/1
2.30 Irish raider High Talk has been wellied by the handicapper for an easy win over C&din a weak race but still has to be considered , as do all of his three rivals in avery tough race to work out , despite there being only 4 runners.
3.00 The Durham Grand National and last year’s winner .Lackamon goes for the double off a higher mark and doesn’t come here in the best of form. Quite a few hig profile stables have travelled some way for this but I’m with Royale Knight to give DrRichard Newland another National winner. He is at home at marathon trips and his two wins at kelos give plenty of encouragement that this track will suit. He ran well over hurdles in his prep for this and everything looks in place for a very big run. Many Stars only won a novice chase last time and will fin the jumping tempo a lot brisket today. Jurisdiction is not a robust type and runs sparingly , but certainly has conditions to suit and abig run from this one wouldn’t shock.
1.25 pts win Royale Knight @ 10/3
3.30 This is very winnable and I’m with Dynamic Drive on his chase debut. He runs this track very well and is fairly handicapped. Morning Time is better at hexham while Ooratvic’s 3rd came in a modest handicap at Kelso.
1pt ew Dynamic Drive @ 13/2
4.00 A bumper to conclude and flat bred After Tonight from the flat stable of David O’Meara is likely to have too much pace for these.
½ pt win After Tonight @ 15/8
Stratford – good ground on this flat and quick track.
1.10 Most of these have been running well in points or bumpers and quite a few have recently joined good stables. Which of a band of about half a dozen will be suited to this 2 and ¾ miles around Stratford is anyone’s guess.
1.40 BIG HIT
This will be very easy for Street Entertainer.
2PT win Street Entertainer @ 8/11
2.10 A pretty unappealing handicap chase. Cody Wyoming is well handicapped on his first start for Charlie Mann, but has never been at this best on quickish ground. Great Link has had a nice long break and his best ever run was a win here over C&D. It’s A Steal, Jackthejourneyman and This is me are others to consider in a race best watched from the bar.
2.40 Another hard race to read. Most of these are having their hurdling debuts and whic one will have the ost pace to win around this tight track on quick ground is most uncertain.
3.10 Traflagar flopped second race back, which I expected, and I don’t expect much better today. Water Wagtail is a lot better on soft ground and more galloping tracks. I’m with Shy John, who ran some great races in hunter chases last season and on that form is very well handicapped.
½ pt win Shy John @ 10/1
3.40 A goo quality chase with a very winnable look about it. Simply Wings was second in this last year and comes here very well handicapped to go one better for an inform stable. The fav is Like Minded, but he is a far better hurdler than a chaser.
1pt ew Simply Wings @ 6/1
4.10 No play thank you in the amateur riders handicap with the more fancied runners, such as Speed Check and Osmosia, very high in the weights.
Kempton – all weather –polytrack
4.30 A rottern race to start the card, a four runner seller and at the weights it looks a match between New Colurs and Les Gar Gan , who are hard to split . Emperor Ferdinand is a stablemate of New Colours and is only having his 4th ever race so could easily improve, especially at this longer trip. Wortha small play.
¼ pt win Emperor Ferdinand @ 10/1
5.00 This will be easy for British Art. He is tried and trusted over C&d and has the best form by some way.
2pts win British Art @ 8/11
5.30 Zero Money has come down to a very attractive handicap mark and is worth small play in a race where nothing really sticks out. Links Drive Lady is rarely far away and is weighted for another good run .Recent winners Marmalady and Steelriver have a lot more to do at the weights.
¼ pt ew Zero Money @ 12/1
6.00 It’s a tough nursery and I jus give the nod to Little Riggs over Landwade Lad. Muradif is another with a decent chance.
¼ pt ew Little Riggs @ 6/1
6.30 A really quality Class 3 handicap and I’m with Sound Advice. He hasn’t had a lot of racing of late and has showed definite signs of a return to his best of late. He likes to get on with it and is worth a pay at massive odds for a horse of his ability. Santefisio runs this C&dvery well and will ,be finishing strongly. Tigers tale goes very well here but is now very high in the weights. Heisman is only having his 3rd ever race and would need to step up a lot to take this MOmayez is an improving 3yo and is a worthy fav.
¼ pt ew Sound Advice @ 16/1
7.00 Recent winner Cadmium has more to do in this handicap, but it’s such a weak affair , you wouldn’t rule out the double. I’m with the very lightly raced Flumps, who has showed that win off this mark in this company is possible.
¼ pt ew Flumps @ 12/1
7.30 Wedgewood estates is the short priced fav but is a lot higher in the weights and has struggled at this trip in this past. I’m with genax who has run a couple of good races off a slightly higher mark and is worth a small play on his first start for Ian Williams .
¼ pt ew Genex @ 10/1
8.00 Been through this a few times and there are so many with chances on their best form , and few can be relied upon to produce it when it really matters.
