You'd be Well Nuts not to back him at his best track in the 2.10

Today’s multis

The delicious Double

1pt double- pays 11/2

Zandy Man 3.20 @ 11/8

Elusive Theatre 3.55 @ 7/4

Today;s fortune for a fiver

30p Lucky 15 & 25p ew acca

Mercy Me 5.00 @ 7/2

Lancelot Du Lac 2.05 @ 10/3

Caraline 4.30 @ 6/1

Nuts well 2.10 @ 5/1

Selected Kempton- probably good to soft on this flat and quite quick track

1.50  Charli Parcs looked something specials when going 2 from 2 winning over C&D last time out and the bookies have taken no chances as he’s way odda on. All of his rivals are lightly raced and open to improvement and I’m having a play on the ex- French Flying Tiger. He disappointed on his English debut at Exeter behind Evening Hush , but was a totally different animal next time winning very easily and the 2nd horse ran pretty well next time. The ground may be a bit quick, but a nice longshot.

¼ pt ew Flying Tiger @ 20/1

3.00 Another tricky contest as none of these novices are the finished article and most are likely to end up with higher ratings. Plenty of these are rated highly already, but on the ground , I’m with the reliable Peter The Mayo Man. He’s by far the most experienced, is so consistent and also knows how to battle.

¼ pt ew Peter the Mayo man @ 7/1

Suggested Kempton placepot

Selected Lingfield- all weather – polytrack

2.05 A qualifier for the big day on Good Friday and significantly in this quality sprint ,there is an absence of front runners. Lancelot Du Lac is a well established sprinter who runs this C&D very well. He comes here on the back of a brave win here last time , and the drop in trip is no issue. He is the likely front  runner and despite having to concede weight all round, could get the run of the race from the front and be hard to pass. The short priced fav is Pretend who is a very classy sprinter and was unlucky here last time, but his recent runs do suggest that he not at his very best , which he will need to be to thwart the tip.

¾ pt win lancelot Du Lac @ 10/3

2.40 A wide open handicap full of in for types whr are just a bit high in the weights and for that reason I’m with the consistent Ice Royale to get a deserved win as he comes out just best at the weights. The on form Constantino is not well drawn and runs on this surface give him plenty to find , despite being recently gelded.

½ pt win Ice Royal @ 6/1

4.25  A very open race and there is little between a few of these at the weights, but I’m with Blue Surf who is marginally favoured on today’s terns over the consistent pair of Sennockian star and Rydan , and Jim Crowley rides.

½ pt win Blue Surf @ 5/1

5.00 No Mercy comes here on the back of an excellent 2nd over C&D in a far better contest. She’s been hit with a 2 pound fine, which is something we could do without, butshe really still should be too good for this calibre of rival.

¾ pt win No Mercy @7/2

Suggested Lingfield Placepot

Selected Newcastle – heavy ground on this stiff and galloping track

2.10 The very likeable teo Vivo comes here on the  back of  a clear win in the kelso mud, but does have  a massive 9 pound penalty. Nuts well was well held that day but he returns to his best track , where he is 2 from2 and also has a great record in the mud. The in form Raise a Spark has abut to prove in this grade and track , but the dark horse is Vinciattis, who makes a belated seasonal reapareance.

¾ pt win Nuts Well @ 5/1

2.45 The Eider Chase and this wont be pretty as the brave field go four miles on a very stiff track in the mud and it’s easy to imagine not may completing the race. It’s a kost open race and you could give practically everything  a chance but I’m with former winner Milborough , who I tipped to win this 2 years ago @ 18/1 and is the same price today to get the double. He’s been hurdling this season to protect his mark, which is a pound less than when he won this. He won very well at Carlisle but fared less so well at speed track Wetherby. The ground should not be an issue and as we know he handles this demanding C&D, has to be the  bet for the double. Dangers are too numerous to mention

½ pt ew Milborough @ 18/1

3.20 This looks  a match between Zandy man and The Dutchman, but at this trip I expect the former to get bhis 3rd win in 4.

3/3 pt win Zandy Man @ 11/8

3.55 A true match but Elsuive Theatre looked really good last time while the Nipper did struggle a bit to beat some modest rivals. Both front run, and as the tip stays further, looks a really good bet at the odds.

1pt win Elusive Theatre @ 7/4

4.30 The heavy ground and trip makes both Ballybloey and easview Boy unliely winners while ot will be some feat of Special wells can land the hat-trick off a 7 pound higher mark. Caraline landed a hat-trick last season, until the handicapper got hold of her. She ran better last time and has no fears with the ground or the C&D.

¾ pt win Caraline @ 6/1

Selected Newcastle placepot

Selected Chepstow- soft ground on this undulating, stiff and galloping track

1.55 Forza Milan ticks plenty of boxes and tbhis should be his day against inferior opposition, but 5/4 is too short for me in a big field  novice hurdle

No bet

4.15  Grey Gold has been 2nd in this for the last 3 years but his recent form is very in  and out as he followed up an excellent win with a pulled up ! so what to expect today is hard to work out. Bold henry is a bit high in the weights but Brave new dawn can’t be ruled out . It’s been said watching  the likeable Pearls secret underperform for some time and can only be watched again. I’m with the well handicapped sew on Target, who has showed enough zest this year to be a contender in this despite now being a 12yo. The C&D and ground are no issues and he could possibly take this all the way.

½ pt win Sew on Target @ 11/1

Suggested Chepstow placepot
