All 3 won yesterday for a return of £125 for the fiver
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Lockdown Dream 5.10 @ 4/1
Bollingerandktug 2.30 @ 7/2
I'm On Snap 3.05 @ 5/2
Selected Redcar – soft ground on this flat and galloping track
1.30 The fav in this huge field nursery is recent surprise Chelmsford City winner Ringo Starlight , finding handicap company off a low mark just the ticket but that was a pretty weak nursery and with a 6 pound hit and switching to soft turf , not for me . Enaraged has run a number of good races including a close 4th of 17 on quick ground at Thirsk . Could be well drawn and the dame won on soft ground a few times .
½ pt ew Enraged @ 7/1
2.05 A red hot Class 3 handicap and the fav is Mujtaba who firmly remains in the category of could be anything as he’s 2 from 2 in maiden company, doing it well both times and looks on a manageable mark and on breeding soft ground should be fine . The Godolphin mare Last Look ran very well over a longer trip last time and the shorter trip will be fine and is another with strong claims , as is the mud loving , in form and useful Super Den but at the odds I’m with Eagleway , who was 2nd In The Victoria Cup at Ascot in the mud in a huge field and comes here on the back of a very solid effort in the Musselburgh mud , from a bad draw, in a steadily run event . Back up in trip , looks overpriced for his chance.
¼ pt ew Eagleway @10/1
2.40 Trojan Horse ran a solid race on debut in the York mud and will benefit from both the experience and extra furlong .
¼ pt win trojan Horse @ 3/1
3.15 On official ratings Forever Forward is well clear , but always a worry when a decent type is dropped from handicaps into a seller . He didn’t shine last time over hurdles at all for his badly out of form stable and I wouldn’t be ploughing in at short odds despite an obvious chance on paper . Wildcitydiva holds her form well and is a winner on the ground and trip , albeit in a low grade handicap , and despite having a bit to find even with the fav out of the equation , with a handful of these . She is more reliable than most and could cause a shock .
¼ pt ew Wildcitydiva @ 14/1
4.25 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Ayr- good ground on this flat and galloping track
2.30 The ground is too quick for Dorking Boy, Better Getalong returns to his favourite trac but hasn’t cut the mustard for so long , If Not For Dylan tends to run his race but remains a maiden , Destiny Is all returns from another long absence and is the stable second string on jockey bookings while the fav Animore has a stiff penalty for an all the way win at Hexham in the mud , so today’s ground and C&D totally different . All this leaves the lightly raced Bollingerandkrug , who won twice last year and only 3 pounds higher for a cosy win last time . Came to hand early last season and should be fine over fences for a chase orientated stable .
¾ pt win Bollingerandkrug @ 7/2
3.05 This is a weak event and the consistent I’m On snap has clear claims for a smart stable who have made successful jaunts to her before making the 600 mile round trip .
¾ pt win I’m On Snap @ 5/2
Selected Leicester – very soft ground on this stiff and galloping track
1.40Beela Caelia ran well at Brighton in the mud off this mark and at this trip and in what looks a modest nursery is chanced on this far stiffer circuit .
¼ pt win Beela Caelia @ 4/1
2.50 The consistent Blaast is effective both on the ground and over C&D and does have the best form , so this could finally be her day .
¼ pt win Blaast @ 7/2
3.25 Tipperary Tiger is clearly the one to beat on official ratings in a modest claimer , but hasn’t been going well at all and preference for recent Catterick winner Imperial Eight , who ran to her OK mark and as that was her first win, better can be expected .
¼ pt win Imperial Eight @ 3/1
4.35 Ey Up It’s Maggie comes here in cracking form with big runs the last twice on soft ground, around this mark , and at this trip . Stiff track no issue and a deserved win can be hers .
½ pt win Ey Up It’s Maggie @ 9/4
5.10 The very consistent Lockdown Dream holds his form well and is one of the few in the field proven on the ground , trip, this kind of track and remains on a workable mark . In a race for amateur riders , Fern O’Brien rode the tip to victory a few starts back .
½ pt win Lockdream Dream @ 4/1
Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . The track is stiff and galloping
4.55 A weak opener and the form horse , the consistent but hard to win with Desert Emperor has stamina doubts, magnified by this stiff C&d, the lightly raced Najeeba looks to have a straight forward task , being top Southern trainer Roger Charlton ‘s only runner of the night and has a good record making the 600 mile round trip .
¾ p win Najeeba @ 11/8
5.25 PREMIUM RACE
6.30 Yet another very tricky nursery as there are the usual number of dark horses going handicapping for the first time off lowly marks . Boondoogle is a course winner and has been set some stiff tasks by his top stable and in much calmer waters tonight . Novak was a smart winner over C&D last time from Muveran, but both have stiff enough nudges up the ratings and She’s The Danger could be well named after a good 3rd here last time and longer trip may well help .
¼ pt ew Boondoogle @ 10/1
7.00 This is wide, wide open and the short list is very long , 9 of the 11 to be precise , but at the odds, the rarely far away James Watt looks overpriced and has run very well here before .
¼ pt ew James Watt @ 14/1
7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.00 The Southern raider Visions of Glory is only young and lightly raced and comes here on the back of a narrow success at Wolver but the 6 pound hit looks excessive and despite making the long journey for a stable that does well here , would do well to double up. Perfect Soldier has dropped to a good mark and outran his odds last time out , it coming over C&D when 3rd and no reason why that good run can’t be repeated .
¼ pt ew Perfect Soldier @ 16/1
