Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating, galloping and stiff track
12.20 Danilova is the short priced fav after a decent debut run over C&d, but it was on easy ground. Anghamm did well on debut and the longer trip will suit while lilac Road and Senita are newcomers to note.

12.55 The fav is Ghaly , but this one has a bit to prove dropping in trip on quicker ground. Oasis prince ran well in his first ever pop in Class 4 last time out at Beverley from the worst of the draw and stays on the same workable mark today . I like his draw and the booking of Andrea Atzeni and could possibly make all.

Make Hast Slowly has come a long way in a short time but best form thus far on the all weather . zuba comes into this in good form off this mark and the drop in trip looks no issue and an attractive play at the odds. The in form mayfair Spirit would do well to double up under a stiff penalty .

2.25 Kings Advice hit a severe purple patch last year winning 8 out of 9 races, taking his winning mark from a lowly 71 up to 108, which he achieved when landing this last year . His form then has been at best patchy , but down in the ratings over a C&D he is 2 from 2, worth a dabble.

4.30 Looks a weak maiden and understandable that Archie Watson’s Ocean Star is the short priced fav . He brings just the one horse on the 750 mile round trip , and does very well here , but even so, not for me at odds on .

5.30 Edgewood bounced back to form with a smart win over C&D last time in the mud, but the 7 pound hit is very testing. A decent pace is on the cards with three front runners which will help the late playing and mud loving Quick Look , who has yet to race here but the stable has plenty of success at this track .

6.40 A good quality Class 3 event and the very wonderful El Astronaute will try , as usual, to burn them off from the front . He’s not as consistent as he was but is now a 7yo , but can still run to a high level as he showed recently with a typically determined win at Donny . He trailed in last in his latest start , but that was full of early pace, but even so, should have done chunks better. He’s the most likely leader tonight and has run well in the mud on stiff tracks, but his profile has become patchy of late . Lahore has two big wins on his CV this season in handicap company , but unlikely he’ll have conditions to suit tonight. Tarboosh is a real mud lark and is 1 from 1 over C&D and this late player is preferred. Youngster Keep busy has some good form in the book and is at her best in the mud , but a bit to do at the ratings.
