Recent Review :
Monday - Kabrit blew another good chance , but trying to lead all the way was unexpected and in the end futile . May be worth another try if the odds are right . The very wonderful Templepark landed another win with ease and despite an inevitable stiff rise in the weights , will consider to be of interest .
Tuesday - Royal Brave was a desperately unlucky loser . The race developed as expected but couldn't get a clear run , was switched widest of all , but still no eay through , switched inside again and when room appeared , very late on , he flew home and is defintely a winner about to happen .
It wasn't the smartest of rides aboard Real appeal and is certainly worth another try
Intenational Law was always travelling well stalking the strong pace but was just outstayed late on coming a good 3rd . He's on a good mark and if remaining in Class 6 , has to notch a win, possibly back at Wolver
Casa Comigo led the chasers behind a tearaway leader and had no problem picking him up and was a few lenghts clear at the line @ 7/2
Wednesday - Keeping a close eye on the weather is a mjst in the tipping game and with wall to wall rainfall forecast for the North -East , the good to firm ground at Redcar wasn't going to last long , so prudent to have soft ground experts on your side .
Five Helmets was hinting his time was near but wasn't totally proved on a soft surface, but the jockey had no doubt as he went for an all the way win and the brave horse battled away tenaciously in the front seeing off challenge after challenge and was short headed right on the line by an unlikely longshot . Great effort by the 8/1 shot
Montalvin had the draw and made full use of it , front rank throughout and pulled away for a clear 9/1 win
Sambuca Spirit was undone by the draw and couldn't get competitive and the usually reliable Bafana Blue ran a tame one struggling for pace and may now be reliant upon soft ground, which wont be long in coming .
Thursday - The ultra reliable gale Force Maya afain ran her race , finishing a close 3rd . She's no on a tough mark but is always of interest
River Icon was galloping all over the only other one in contention and it looked a case of how far , but the leader wouldn't go away and in the end we were 1/2 length short of another winning Nap .
The Blue Bower is another reliable soul who was still on a workable mark . I was astounded by her long odds as she was proven over C&D and with so much early pace in the contest had a terrific race make up for a late player . The young jockey deserves great credit for not panicking as she was still last entering the straight, but she powerfully picked then off one by one getting up on the line at 16/1 !
Friday - the usually reliable Henrietta Bell was given a very patient ride and never really had a cut at her fences and never got competitive . An unusually poor effort from her and worth another chance , probably at shorter.
The race went practocally to script regardiing the Nap Royal Rob, who was held up at the back while there was a right batle for domination up front . he came through with a telling challenge , but failed by a closing head @ 11/2
Orin swift again ran his race and stuck to his guns bravely in the Haydoc mud , but at the line was a 3/4 length 2nd . His time will come
As predicted , there was a strong pace for the late playing La Rav to come off, who was last entering the business part of the race , but stormed through for the narrow win @ 14/1
Saturday - I made Danyah the clear winner and was relatively good odds in what looked a penalty kick against the opposition . He won with ease @ 5/2
Happy Romance again ran well but couldn't confirm Salisbury form with the progressive winner , but she will continue to be of interest .
Red Force One ran a stinker and can only be watched for now.
Bell rock ran a blinder in The Cambridgeshire finishing 3rd in the massive field . He couldn't find ant racing room in the closing stages , but when in the clear stormed home to be nearest at the finish . Possibilities of a good prize up in trip .
Sunday Catherine's Girl lost her chance at the start and did well in the circumstances to be 6th , just outside the places @ 16/1
Alpine minstrel wasn't able to secure a handy pitch, which makes life hard at Chester . The fav and clear dsnger had the run of the race from the front and kept on well enough for the win . The tip had anything but a perfect run througout the contest , but finished well to be 4th , not beaten very far , and will be of interest next time .
The Musselburgh Sprint , as predicted was raced at breakneck pace which really suited the Nap, who travelled sweetly on the outside and when asked for his effort , the response was immediate and telling , pulling away for a clear win . He's unexposed as a 5 furlong sprinter on quick tracks and worth a long look next time
Torochico was another at Chester who couldn't get the expected handy pitch , but kept on honestly enough to finish just outside the frame , but this mark looks challenging nowadays .
Monday - Off to the best possible start with the down in class Ventura Flame relishing the return to her favourite C&d winning with something to spare @ 9/1
We were desperately unlucky with the next tip, the consistent Smeaton, who was badly asleep when the stalls opened and lost 20 lengths, so wisely the jockey gave him just a canter round . This is hopefully a one off and he'll be of interest next time
Clifftop Heaven finally broke his duck with a gritty win but Rebel State disappointed , but maybe the rails was not the place to be . Worth another chance .
The reliable Inductive again ran his race but th wide draw didn;t help but is looking just a bit high in the ratings now
Redarna sluiced in over his favourite C&d, which he is now 5 from 6 ! Winning very well at 15/2
The Blame game was held up way off the pace in a strongly run event and the leaders just didn't come back and she toiled in near the rear . This was unexpected and is worth another try with a more positive ride .
Bavardages has improved since being held up but was way back and stuck on the rails and while he made decent late progress, is now looking a little high in the weights
