1.10 The clear form horse is Latest Generation ,a good 3rd on debut at Sandown in what looked a decent maiden , but even money no use to me up in trip, on a very different track and against a host of newcomers from smart stables .

1.40 A tricky nursery but A Boy Named Ivy won well at this trip at Ayr and was a close 2nd at Haydock off a slightly lower mark . Looks likely to run his race again and go close .

2.10 A good quality Class 1 sprint and interestingly a couple of juveniles take on proven elders , and despite receving chunks of weights, still a bit to do at the weights , and one of these is Acklam Express , 3rd on his first start , but won his next three. The fav is the progressive and reliable Moss Gill, who was 3rd in a group 1 last time , a career best run, but was ridden with the frame in mind, so could have been flattered . Previously he was all out to win at York in a Class 1 event , where Tarboosh was a very unlucky close 4th and is 3 pound better off today . A good pace is on the cards which will help this late player . The useful Dakota Gold could struggle under his penalty on drying ground on this speed track . The irish raider Urban Beat can’t be ruled out , especially with Dettori riding .

2.40 It’s still called The Legends Race , a wonderful annual spectacle for retired jockeys , and it’s been a most profitable race for yours truly with some jockeys a lot younger than most and last year a youthful Sammy Jo Bell prevailed . Because of Covid 19 restrictions, today’s race is for current jockeys and the fav is the likely pacesetter in Late arrival , whose yet to win , but is rarely far away and is the one to beat at the weights and Will Buick rides, but not sure if a straight mile on drying ground is his thing. As you might expect in a field this size ,there’ll be a few others shovelling the coal on early and this could ho to a late player . Flying dragon is mightily consistent , and was placed in this last year ,but so hard to win with while Hammer Gun always runs well here and was also placed last year . At the odds I’m wit Catch My Breath , a good winner at Ayr and then a good 4th at Redcar and a line can be drawn through his latest try on tapeta. This late player will be finishing strongly up the stands rails . lively longshot
