Hoping for a Merry March

The issue regading your payments directly incrementing your account is still not 100% . It is working

but not immediately . If you find you don't have access to the Members' area within an hour

Registration problems sadly are still a bit hit and miss .

If you are experiencing problems please email me .

There were small losses for both the Premium Tips and lays and while of course profits are most preferable

In a month when  many days were raced on heavy ground, we didn't suffer greatly .

This month heralds the return of the flat season and The Chelrenham Festival, so if you haven't taken advantage of

the free week's trial,  this is an ideal time to do so . Just register and follow the prompts

I thank you for your loyal custom and hope you are enjoying watching the vast majority of the tips

running big races at big odds

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

Has an Invincible look in the Ayr opener

Ayr Trixie

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Invincibly 1.40 @ 11/4

Gumdrop 2.10 @ 5/1

Last Empire 3.20 @ 9/4

No advice from Ireland today

Selected Catterick – good ground on this sharp and undulating  track

1.10 This is fiercely competitive but I’m happy to take on the short priced fav in Electric Blue , switching from the all weather from the worst of the draw .

No Bet

1.45 Very , very tricky

2.20 This is an excellent opportunity for Sarsparilla , but we’ve said that before and he’s now 0 from 6 , three times a runner up , but will probably struggle over the line ahead , but certainly not a betting prospect at odds. Brazen Belle’s earlier form gives her a clear chance but comes here on the back of two very poor efforts .

No Bet

2.55 Paws for Thought very much had the run of the race up front when winning with ease at Chester last time, but a early lead not assured today and the penalty is severe . Another open race .

No Bet

3.30 The odds on fav is Leafhopper , successful on debut , but that was 14 months ago ! Egrecio is rarely far away but just can’t nail one but comes nowhere close to the shocking win record of model Guest ,who is now 0 from 18 , and is also regressive .

Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track

1.20 The John Gosden trained Hahoos is the odds on fav after a good debut run on polytrack , but at the odds an easy pass.

No Bet

1.55 This looks a match between Marlay Park and Twilight Calls, who are very hard to split. Looks a match, fc time

¼ pt  rev fc Marlay Park, twilight Calls

2.30 Worth  a dabble on Humanitarian who after a impressive start to last season , then took his chance in the Epsom Derby , and he was only 12/1 for the Classic and ran respectably , looking ill suited to the track . He backed that up with a much below par run in an Ascot Group 2 on soft ground and returns after 15 months off, but could be a Group horse in a handicap .

¼ pt win  Humanitarian @ 4/1

3.05 The form horse is clearly Genuflex, but the drop in trip wont help , but still fairly priced .

¼ pt win Genuflex @ 7/2

3.40 just not enough to go on to solve this small field Juvenile Class 2 .

No Bet

5.20 Very few come into this In for, the exception being the ever reliable Carp Kid, often thereabouts but wins hard to come by . He’s been unlucky in the draw today . and has a rotten win record but can’t be ignored at massive odds.

½ pt  ew Carp Kid @ 18/1

Selected Ayr- good to soft on this flat and galloping track

1.40 There’s been plenty of money for Crystal Guard today but his debut 4th was just an Ok run and came on the all weather , and the Southern stable has never struck here . Clear preference is for the well bred Invincibly , who didn’t come cheap and ran to a good level chasing home a decent Mark Johnston youngster on east ground at Thirsk , with the rest of the field scattered all over North Yorkshire . This more galloping track is in his favour and has clear strong claims . Macmerry Jim ran well on  debut on the Southwell fibresand behind one who has won well since under a penalty , but he’s bred for that  surface and could struggle in the mud .

¾ pt  win Incredibly @ 11/4

2.10 Gumdrop was a clear winner of a nursery at Chester on soft ground and backed that up with an excellent 3rd off this mark , when finding the extra furlong a touch too far . In this winnable nursery I’d be over him like a rash if it wasn’t for the jockey booking as Billy Garritty is 1 from 42 this season , but he has gone close a few times of late , so is trusted . Wobwobwob was well backed to land a big field but modest nursery and the softer ground and penalty both pose questions .

½ pt win Gumdrop @ 5/1

2.45 Bickerstaffe is the short priced fav after an impressive debut win in the Hamilton mud, so the ground is fine, but this is a very different track and the bare form gives him just an average chance . Nomadic Empire just doesn’t know how to run a bad race and will again be on the premises but I’ chancing Roman Encounter , a smart winner on debut At Beverley , and the top trainer has used that race before with ones who went on to be listed class and the trainer is 4 from 4 here in juvenile races this season here !

¼ pt win Roman Encounter @ 6/1

3.20 Last Empire has a clear chance at the ratings and was 4th in this last year and better can be expected today on softer ground . she’s a late player and plenty of early pace in this to set it up for her late charge .

½ pt  win Last Empire @ 9/4

4.25 This looks between the in form pair of Mondain and Beechwood Jude, but hard to be sure .

No Bet

5.25 I was with the well treated Merricourt last time despite the bad draw and was eventually a cosy winner . That victory can be upgraded and is still on a good mark on old form . Much better drawn today and is Ok on softer ground .

¼ pt win Merricourt @ 8/1

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

4.00 a very weak maiden and a clear chance for Recall The show to finally ring the Victory Bell, but just too short at the odds given his rotten win record . Could stumble over the line , or bottle it .

No Bet

5.40 Araifjan has been going very well round Wolver and If as potent on this surface has claims , despite a tricky draw. Anna Of Lorraine finally showed some form last time , and it came here, but over a longer trip, and didn’t look to be crying out for a drop and the draw could have been kinder. The well drawn front running Johnny Red has a C&d win on his CV , but needs an uncontested lead , which is unlikely in this . The nod goes to the lightly raced Performance poet , a good 2nd over C&D last time out .

¼ pt ew Performance Poet @ 6/1

7.15 & 7.45

Trainer Mark Usher is often well represented here and runs a couple of reliable mares effective over C&D and on fair marks  .

¼ pt  ew double Bird for life 10/1  Bird to Love 14/1
