Gateway to Europe 3.40 @ 5/2
Gateway 3.00 @ 4/1
Round The Island 3.50 @ 4/1
Selected Ponty – soft ground on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
12.45 After a big run at York , Out The Hat was not at his best next time in the Hamilton mud with some modest types not far away . This is mot deep but worth a dabble on the clear second best in Forbidden Secret , no ground issues.
¼ pt win Forbidden Secret @ 3/1
1.15 The consistent Coul Kat ran well again at this trip, mark and ground at Nottingham and looks a solid fav .
¼ pt win Coul Kat @ 7/4
1.45 A really tricky Class 1 for juveniles and the short priced fav is The Rosstafarian who impressed on debut at Salisbury at this trip on easy ground, so should be fine round here , but the bare form only gives him a fair chance so trying Pythagoras , who looks overpriced for his chance as he has no issues with trip or ground .
¼ pt win Pythagoras @ 7/1
2.50 This is the acid test for the lightly raced and in form Cruyff Turn as he goes up in trip and tries softer ground , and on this stiff track , much rather look elsewhere. Looks too close to call between Cockalorum , Awake My soul and Benadalid .
No Bet
3.20 With Penny Pot Lane and starter for Ten racing under penalties , but as they are both effective on soft ground and stiff tracks, not completely ruled out, preference is for Inexes, who has a god record here and the wide draw a positive here on soft ground . The consistent Wot’s The Wifi Code has every right to be bang there .
¼ pt ew Inexes @ 15/2
3.50 What A Business is the solid fav after a good 3rd over C&d last time in the mud, but with a win record of only 1 in 19 , not hard to look elsewhere. The in form Round The Island goes well here in the mud and has strong claims .
½ pt win Round The Island @ 4/1
4.20 An extremely tricky finale but with so much early pace about , this gives last year’s winner, the consistent Our little pony a decent chance of doubling up with ground no issue .
¼ pt win Our little Pony @ 7/2

Selected Windsor- very soft ground on this flat and galloping track
1.00The lightly raced Refuge sluiced in last time in the Musselburgh mud and certainly has hopes of the double with just the 6 pound penalty and the Stable has a terrific record here making the 400 mile round trip. Charles Le Brun is another in form youngster who has strong claims after a close 2nd I the Nottingham mud in a big field. Wild Flower retains her enthusiasm and is effective in the mud at this trip . A little high in the weights , but stays this C&D strongly .
½ pt ew Wild Flower @ 13/2
1.30 Not a deep maiden and the solid fav is Good Listener after a good debut run in the York mud.
½ pt win Good Listener @ 6/4
2.00 A wide open claimer but the fav in Dream World could struggle to get competitive over this nippy C&D. Voltaic won this last year in the mud and comes here in good enough form to make a good go at landing the double .
¼ pt ew Volcaic @ 9/1
2.30 PREMIUM RACE
3.00 The reliable and in form Epic Endeavour has other front runners to worry about as well as the penalty and the longer trip , so would do very well to double up . Barossa Red disappointed on his first run for his new stable last time and can only watch today but the consistent sacre Bleu looks primed to run well again with the ground in his favour. Mostawaa just doesn’t know how to run a bad race and is likely to be front rank and sees it out well . No ground issues and a deserved win can drop his way .
½ pt win Mostawaah @ 4/1
3.30 Moxy Mares has found some form of late but is so hard to win with but Maykir certainly knows how to nail races and is only 2 pounds higher for a determined win at Southwell , but is a C&D winner here in the mud . Mr Top Hat takes a welcome drop in grade and has been running pretty well of late . Form on soft ground though is mixed .
¼ pt ew Mr Top Hat @ 6/1
4.00 Espresso Freddie is hard to win with but is rarely far away . He was back to form last time and is one of the few in the field with no ground issues .
¼ pt ew Espresson Freddie @ 5/1
4.30 Lady Isabel sluiced in over C&D last time in the mud , but is 6 pounds higher and taking on older horses , and is plenty short enough in the market . Das Kapital has run well in both starts this season , both around this trip and on soft ground , but has been nudged up a harsh 3 pounds for coming only 2nd. This jockey rode him in a similar amateur jockeys race last time and another good run likely .
¼ pt ew Das Kapital @ 15/2

No advice for Gowran
Selected Plumpton = good ground on this gently undulating and sharp track .
2.10 Pisgah Pike comes here on the back of an excellent 3rd in a red hot Market Rasen handicap and should have no problems giving the weight away to the Paul Nicholls runner , the disappointing Hugos Other Horse , who will it happening all too quickly round this sharp C&D.
¾ pt win Pisgah Pike @ 4/6
3.40 Gateway To Europe shaped up well in his recent first try over fences and the winner has since followed up off a mark of 128 . Considering the tip was conceding a stone to him , looks very well in off a mark of 123. He’s won here over hurdles and can get the better of the down in grade yet disappointing Dr sanderson who is more of a threat than Mason Jar who needs a stiffer test .
3/4 pt win Gateway To Europe @ 5/2
4.10 The consistent Jackson Hill need softer ground while the consistent Sorbet has been nudged up a harsh three pounds for only coming 2nd last time. This looks a match between the in form pair of Constancio and Vision Clear , who are very hard to split .
½ pt rev fc Constancio – Vision Clear

Wolver -all weather – tapeta
4.25 Plenty of in form young horses but none are hardly prolific and plenty with it to prove at either the trip or the surface. This possibly gives the edge to Pax Brittanica , on a workable mark, going well of late, no issues with the trip and ran well at Newcastle last time , so proven on the surface .
¼ pt win Pax Brittanica @ 4/1
5.00 PREMIUM RACE
5.30 This is not a deep heat and the late playing Deftera Lad goes well over C*D and is both well drawn and has a good race make up with a couple of front runners sure to push the pace along .
½ pt ew Deftera Lad @ 9/2
6.00 PREMIUM RACE
7.30 This is highly competitive and a chance can be given to many . The in form International Law brings most solid C&d form to the table while the in form Atlanta Breeze can’t be ruled out despite being new to the surface, and the good stable does pretty well here , as does the top stable of Hugo Palmer who runs Combine, , who’s on a fair mark for her first try in a handicap and proven over C&D .
¼ pt win Combine @ 11/2
8.00 Christmas Night is a regular here and in pretty good form , but the longer trip a worry while the switch to tapeta is unlikely to help another possible in Fair Man . Red Gunner has been going well of late and has claims off a good mark but the nod goes to Plansina, rarely far away but has become hard to win with but down a really good mark and effective over C&D.
¼ pt ew Plansina @ 6/1
