One Ruler 2.55 @ 10/3
Outrun The Storm 3.30 @ 8/1
Selected Kelso – currently good ground on this sharp and undulating track with a galloping straight
Some rain is forecast so going could change
2.33 PREMIUM RACE
3.08 Xpo universal is a reliable sort who has run pretty well in his recent starts off higher marks and higher grade. He really wants the rain to get into the ground , which may not happen , but this wont take much winning and a lively longshot .
¼ pt ew Xpo Universal @ 16/1
4.18 This wont take much wining and presents a golden opportunity for Count Jurado after some good efforts of late at this trip off this mark . He finds winning tough , but this should be his day .
¼ pt win Count Jurado @ 5/2
4.53 Another race where it’s hard to fancy many which gives a chance to the consistent Jessiemac who landed a double last season and generally held her form well off her new mark . Her comeback spin was respectable but is another who’ll want the ground to ease .
¼ pt ew Jessiemac @ 11/1

Selected Donny- soft ground on this flat and galloping track
1.10 PREMIUM RACE
1.45 This is a very tricky small field Class 1 for juveniles and only recent soft ground winner Intrusive can be ruled out . Helmont won well on debut in the mud, but while the bare form needs improving upon to land this, that is entirely possible given the way he won .On official ratings there is very little between the other 4 and all handle the ground well , but as Will Buick is 2 from 2 aboard the tough Zamaani, gets the nod .
¼ pt win Zamaani @ 3/1
2.20 PREMIUM RACE
2.55 A group 1 for juveniles and a short priced fav in Wembley , a good 2nd in two recent Group 1s and proven on the ground , but only 1 win from 6 and goes up in trip . One ruler is the top stable’s only runner of the day in the Uk and looked awesome last time when switching to hold up tactics in the Newmarket mud winning with ease and running to a good level . He steps up in grade but top connections have their usual wealth of talent and understandably have chosen him for this winnable event . He’s likely to be played late again and despite Newmarket being a very different track , did well here when a close 3rd behind the classy New Mandate in a race which didn’t go his way , and that came over a shorter trip and on quick ground . Looks good to appear late and stay on through the mud .
¾ pt win One ruler @ 10/3
3.30 The lightly raced Conservatoire recently sluiced In at Goodwood in the mud, but it didn’t look a deep race and the 7 pound hit will test . Outrun The storm landed a competitive Ayr nursery well on easy ground and did little wrong next time in the Catterick mud at this trip and mark, when all at sea on that tricky track , but came home strongly on deep ground . This more conventional track will suit and looks a cracking ew play .
½ pt ew Outrun The Storm @ 9/1
4.05 plenty here are capable but a lot of the form horses are badly drawn , on testing marks or on ground too soft . Firmament showed up better last time and no issues with this C&D or ground and a nice play .
¼ pt ew Firmament @ 14/1
4.40 The hat-trick seeking erich Bloch won well at Catterick recently in the mud at this trip in the style of an improver and the 5 pound hit looks plenty fair, He is well drawn for a front runner , but there are 3 other front runners , which may well give him problems . Flying Pursuit is not the horse he was , but is still competitive off this reduced mark . He’s nicely drawn and gets this trip if held up , so has a good race make up with the abundance of early pace.
¼ pt ew Flying Pursuit @ 9/1

No advice from Ireland today
Selected Newbury – heavy ground on this flat and galloping track
2.25 Et Tu Brute has flopped twice in the mud while it’s doubtful is Twaasol will handle the deep ground. The other three all handle deep ground and the nod goes to Bella Notte after a close 2nd on deep ground at Yarmouth last time out off around this mark .
¼ pt win Bella Notte @ 11/2
3.00 The ones proven on the ground are only OK sorts so well worth chancing Love Is You on deeper ground . She impressed on east ground on debut and the sire is an influence for mud lovers .
½ pt win Love Is You @ 5/2
3.35 Laneqash is the clear form horse but doubts regarding handling the ground . There are no such doubts about the conditions for Existent after sluicing in last time on deep ground and as the going is the key factor today , gets the vote.
¼ pt win Existent @ 4/1
4.10 The very wonderful Euchen Glen will give it a right go despite the penalty and will love the ground but front running may not be straight forward with the mud loving Glencadam Glory in the field . Natural History is 2 from 2 this season and proven on the ground and trip and has clear claims but the nod goes to the ex-French mud loving Litigator, who did well on his first start for top trainer Roger Varian .
¼ pt win Litigator @ 7/1
4.45 I was with Chatez last time dropping to a workable mark and on his preferred soft ground and ran pretty well to be 3rd . The deeper ground is in his favour and runs this track well . Snow Ocean is in tremendous form and handled soft ground well last time.
¼ pt ew Chatez @ 9/1
5.20 Percy Prosecco comes here In good form and handles soft ground well . Brodie Hampson is one of the top amateurs and another good run likely .
½ pt ew Percy Prosecco @ 11/2
Selected Cheltenham – currently good ground but rain is forecast and going likely to change
The track is undulating , galloping and stiff
2.05 Allmankind is a terrific young hurdler who goes off like the clappers and keeps the gallop up throughout . He is likely to bomb out again and despite carrying a penalty will be hard to beat , but very best form is on soft ground . Botix Has was only a few lengths behind him over C&D and the 4 pound pull in theory is sufficient to turn the tables , but worrying that he hasn’t been seen for 10 months ! The Irish raider Anna Burina was 2nd last time in a handicap off just 126 , so shouldn’t be good enough , but receives plenty of weight and this stable does very well here . On the bare figures, The Pink Un has a bit to find,, but he is race fit and is ground versatile and could be a shock winner with C&D likely to suit this consistent and tough customer .
½ pt ew The pink’N @ 14/1
2.40 The useful Southfield Stone is usually kept to speed tracks so would rather just watch today around this testing circuit and the same caveat applies to the in form Not That Fuisse. Pileon was most progressive over hurdles last year and ended with a brilliant 2nd here at the Festival in a soft ground handicap at this trip . The switch to fences will suit but at the odds , I’m going for another shock in the in form Coole Cody . This course winner is bang in form and is ground versatile and is race fit .
¼ pt win Coole Cody @ 7/1
3.15 You could have 10 tries in this and very easily miss the mark , but we’ll have to try . Last year’s winner TObesure held his form really well last season and is only 3 pounds higher , so makes the long looking short list . Neville’s Cross and I’d Better Go Now are progressive unexposed types who have to have claims . I’m trying a longshot in Kansas City Chief , who was consistent last season and ran a bold race at The festival when 6th of 24 , only giving best late on and on a reduced mark , worth a dabble, especially If the rains come .
¼ pt ew Kansas City Chief @ 20/1
3.50 the prolific Manofthemountain has a hefty 8 pound penalty in this far better race and unproven round here . All of Cogry , Cobra De Mai , West Approach and Perfect Candidate are regulars over this C&D and all have had their moments of glory , but for various reasons , prefer to look elsewhere. Bob Marler had a terrific end to the season but needed a few runs to get straight , and the stable is only I fair form. Frodon is terrific racehorse with 5 wins here and drops into handicap company on a high but fair mark and despite giving way chunks of weight, could be too classy .
¼ pt win Frodon @ 6/1
4.25 The Irish raider Streets of Doyen comes here on a 4 timer and is 3 from 3 at this trip . This is not a deep race and is the one to beat , but all wins on good ground , so a change in the ground could stop him .
½ pt win Streets of Doyen @ 9/4
5.00 Plantaganent was a close 2nd in this last year off around the same mark and comes here in the kind of form to make him of most interest in an open event .
¼ pt winPlantaganent @ 5/1
Selected Chelmsford City – all weather – polytrack
4.07 Very little between all of Ajrad, Kawalees, Keep Right on , Inveigle and Spirit of Iffraaj and all proven at the trip but few have tried the all weather before. All are drawn well but the nod goes to the former despite the in form stable having little success here with juveniles in the past.
¼ p t win Ajrad @ 3/1
4.42 This is very weak , full of runners on long losing runs and no encouragement of an imminent win . Youngster Smokey comes here on the back of two good wins at Wolver . Not well drawn penalised and switches surface , but the odds may look very big after the event .
½ pt win Smokey @ 13/8
5.15 Ginvincible looked a capable sort in his early days , but things haven’t gone his way but showed recently that he was far from a hopeless cause with a decent effort on turf . Down in grade in a weak heat and worth a dabble at long odds .
¼ pt ew Ginvincible @ 18/1
5.45 I was very much with Perfect Rose last time but in first time blinkers , which have been binned , she couldn’t settle and ran her race prematurely . She remains risky but also a winner about to happen . Good mark, well drawn and effective at trip and surface . This is winnable and it’s for her , if bringing her a game .
½ pt win Perfect Rose @ 12/1
6.15 Lilkian has been in terrific shape of late with a hat-trick and then was foiled by just a short head . She was caught out last time over C&D up in grade and from a bad draw. back in calmer waters today from a good draw , can resume her progress over a C&D she runs well .
½ pt ew lilkian @ 10/1
