Selected Musselburgh – good ground on this flat and galloping track
12.20 The two recent winners have a bit to do carrying penalties and it’s pretty hard looking past the fav in Long Stay . Trained by top handler Fergal O’Brien , he sluiced in on his first start for the stable in a Newton Abbot bumper and the 2nd horse has won very well since. he is an ex pointer but has a top flat pedigree and closely related to two Group winners .Two slight worries, the 2 months break is long enough and the wind op not a positive for the stable , but looks fairly priced .
½ pt win Long stay @ 2/1
12.50 Wild Coco is frequently placed but still remains hard to win with . Better to concentrate on the pair the top of the handicap , both with recent winning form . I prefer the chance of Brotherly Company who has held his form well off his new testing mark and the in form stable does well here . He looks likely to dispute the lead and sees the trip out strongly and is preferred to recent winner Going mobile .
½ pt win Brotherly Company @ 3/1

12.30 The in form Desert Land went close over C&D recently and well drawn to do even better today but a win record of just 1 from 15 not encouraging for a 6/4 shot . Prince Rock is a reliable regular here but a very hefty 4 pound rise and the worst of the draw, sets him a very tough task It’s hard fancying many In this so trying the one useful Bint Dandy , who’s effective over C&d and this mark and the recent comeback spin wasn’t awful and certainly worth a try at long odds.
¼ pt ew Bint Dandy @ 20/1
1.30If we forgive a below par effort from a bad draw last time, the front running Phuket Power remains on a good mark and runs the C&d well . Lequinto would do well to land the hat-trick switching from tapeta off a tough mark . Be careful if you’re thinking about playing Fox Duty Free, he’s refused to race the last twice, but has changed stables.
¼ pt ew Phuket Power @ 8/1
2.00 Chitra did really well here last time when a close 5th from a bad draw and over the extra furlong should get the better of Newyorkstateofmind, who was just ahead last time .
¼ pt win Chitra @ 11/4
2.30 A really good Class 2 sprint and don’t blink cause you’ll miss it as the track record must be in danger today as a break neck pace is on the cards. Stablemates Glamorous Anna and Just glamorous are sure to bomb out and Leodis dream , Watchable and the very classy sprinter Good Effort are all sure to be want to be near the action . It doesn’t take a genius to work out that this is set up for a late player and it really should be Royal Birth’s day. He’s been highly competitive over the seasons in good races over C&D but has only recently resumed duties after a lengthy break He has a terrific draw for a late player , a great race make up and has dropped to a really good mark . The question is whether he is in the kind of form to take advantage , as recent efforts not over encouraging but to a degree inconclusive .
¼ pt ew Royal Birth @ 7/1
3.00 The short priced fav is the consistent Make It rain who is 2 from 2 on synthetics but is now on a testing mark and has the worst of the draw. You’re Hired Did wonders coming 4th in the Cambridgeshire in a massive field off this mark and in a winnable heat, chanced to act on the surface.
¼ pt ew You’re Hired @ 9/1
3.30 Fame aN Fortune goes for the C&D hat-trick but both the hefty 5 pound hit and racing from the worst of the draw will test him . Saying that, this is not a big ask but Al Jawhra went close over C&D recently and despite a nasty nudge up the weights , looks a nice ew play .
¼ pt ew Al Jawhra @ 12/1

Selected Nottingham – very soft ground on this flat and galloping track
12.40 & 1.10 Both races have short priced favs in Mrs Fitzherbert and Dancing To Win , both running well at this trip and ground on debut , but both races have some interesting newcomers from top stables wearing famous colours.
No Bet
2.10 The bang in form Gordonstoun is hard to knock and was successful over C&D last time out in the mud , but the 4 pound hit will test , but not out of it. . Both Sammy Sunshine and Distraction were close up behind so have clear claims today . eagle terrace and Brunnera can also be added to the mix in a tricky heat .

2.40 The massively progressive hurdler Main Fact , now rated a very lofty 151 , has plundered a couple of soft ground events with ease off a very lowly flat mark of just 60 . He’s 11 pounds higher today but still looks way ahead of the game . Odds aren’t bad relatively .
½ pt win Main Fact @ 8/11
3.10 PREMIUM RACE
3.40 Plenty of in form types but the nod goes to Tilsworth Rose , who’s improved with racing on deep ground , but a little worried about the wide draw . The reliable Harry Ridge has a bit to prove both down in trip and trying softer ground .
4.10 A handicap for amateur riders for the finale. Youngster Bad Company goes for the 4 timer and is effective over the C&D and ground but the 7 pound hit a big issue. The in form Blistering Barney would do very well to make all again with the penalty , and a few others here may want to join the fun up front . The unexposed Ring of Gold has claims but the nod goes to dual C&D winner Born To Please , a right mudlark but does have a stiff 5 pound penalty .

I usually enjoy a play on the Dundalk polytrack, but this is another minefield of a card and full of horses who find getting their noses in front most arduous . Just the one play
5.35 Dundalk
A typical big field Dundalk handicap with horses having no leeway off their mark . Getgo landed a good win over C&d back in March and recently ran encouragingly on his comeback spin . he’s just a pound higher so looks a very lively longshot in a most winnable heat .
½ pt ew Getgo @ 14/1
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
5.50 It’s hard to rule any of these out in this small field nursery but Cotai Bear looks overpriced on the strength of his front running good 2nd over C&D which puts him on a workable mark .
¼ pt win Cotai Bear @ 8/1
6.20 The in form runners of Rock Sound , who may find this coming a bit soon looking at his profile and could have been better drawn nudged up the weights and the well drawn Rock Boy Grey , now on a stiff mark and with the back to form El Hombre not at his best on previous tries here , happy to play a longshot in Wiley Post , who put together a useful series of runs over C&d last Winter , has only recently resumed duties and should be approaching match fitness. The mark is fine but the draw could have been better , but well happy to have a dabble at long odds.
¼ pt ew Wiley Posy @ 25/1
6.50 PREMIUM RACE
7.20 The lightly raced Crown Power has run well in both career starts, both here and both over a slightly shorter trip and looks very likely to appreciate the extra yardage , which he’ll need to with a lofty opening mark of 85, and he’s been running at just 81 . He’s a slow starter and this is likely to be tactical which gives the edge to the tactically versatile C&D winner Myseven , another lightly raced sort from a top stable .
