Today’s Fortune for a Fiver
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Smurphy Enki 12.30 @ 6/5
Grey Spirit 12.40 @ 3/1
Maid O’Malley 1.50 @ 11/2
Selected Chepstow – very soft ground on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track
12.30 looks very much a match but I clearly prefer the useful bumper and ex pointer Smurphy Enki over Seelotmorebusiness as his bumper form is well superior and no issues with the mud.
¾ pt win Smurphy Enki @ 6/5
1.00Tom Symonds has done very well with intakes from the David Dennis yard and runs another who’s switched stables in Mr Washington , who comes here on the back of two pulled ups over fences but this wont take much winning and not bad odds to continue the stable’s purple patch .
¼ pt win Mr Washington @ 4/1

2.40 The very wonderful Kilcomey Bridge ended the season with a front running hat-trick and the 4 timer beckons in against modest opposition . No issues with trip ,ground or probably mark for a very much in form stable .
¾ pt win Kilcomey Bridge @ 4/6

Selected Kempton – good to firm on this flat and sharp track
12.40 Not a deep maiden and the fav is Nicky Henderson’s Diamond River , disappointing on is hurdles debut weakening late on. He drops in trip but is stoutly bred and the par at the top could have too much pace for him. Both are penalised for winning twice , which is never easy , but Grey Spirit ran to his form last time out with this 7 pound claimer In the saddle , which gives him obvious claims today .
½ pt winGrey Spirit @ 3/1
1.10 captain Blackpearl has only ever run on soft ground while the hard to win with Jackson Hill switches to fences and a longer trip . Champagne Noir was a ready winner on his comeback spin and the 7 pound hit could have been worse . Slight acid test as this is his 2nd race back after a break , but if all is well , hard to see anything else winning .
½ pt win Champagne Noir @ 13/8
1.40 A weak novice event and a very straight forward task for Vegas Blue, but she is 1/4 !

2.15 All of Movie Legend, Mercian Prince and Prairie Town are on good marks but none really cutting the mustard of late. Havana Hermano continues to run well but quick ground will test .Caroline’s Charm is bang in form and effective over this kind of C&D and ground and remains on a workable mark and despite going up in grade , looks a nice ew play.
¼ pt ew Caroline’s Charm @ 7/1
2.48 Younevercall has won this twice before and returns from an 18 months break on a 10 pound higher mark , but did run to this level in subsequent races and the in form stable is likely to have him spot on for his favourite C&D and ground .The front running Flashing Glance impressed with his attitude last time and another big run likely up just 4 pounds. The nod goes to the in form Storm Goddess , a strong finisher off this mark last time and the likely strong pace will suit . The drop in trip is no help to Enniscoffey Oscar .
¼ pt winStorm Goddess @ 4/1
3.20 A tricky small field chase but Jubilympics won well first time over fences beating a decent novice and will be far better served going right handed today . He’s still on a good mark and is preferred to Oscar Rose a good winner last time of a modest heat where the well treated Nightfly was not out of it when falling while Dame Du Soir and Outofthisworld have claims too .
½ pt win Jubilympics @ 7/2

Selected Carlisle – very soft ground on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
12.50 The short priced fav is the ex French Bass Rock who ran well here last time on good ground and could well be a bouncer as that run was his first for 15 months ! Honda Fifty ran 2nd in all 3 soft ground bumpers , including one here . Goes well fresh and a very nice longshot with hurdles expected to suit well . Severance a 90 rated flat horse has his first start for the back to form Ben Pauling , but soft ground an issue .
½ pt ew Honda Fifty @ 12/1
1.20 A very tricky small field novice chase and none can be ruled out.

1.50 This has a most winnable look to it and the consistent Maid O Malley is the one as she is proven on stiff circuits in the mud and on a very fair mark .
½ pt win Maid O’Malley @ 11/2
2.25 clearly the one to beat at the weights in this Class 2 chase is the classy Esprit Du Large , whose best performance came when landing a Sandown Grade 1 chase in the mud , running to his mark of 155. He ran way below that level at Cheltenham and took a mid race fall last time . Not sure if I’d want to be on at odds on .

3.00 If God really does love a trier then he will surely smile on the luckless O’Hanrahan Bridge 2nd in his last 5 runs and proven on the ground , track and on a workable mark and the longer trip should help .
½ pt win O Hanrahan Bridge @ 6/4

Just the two plays at Dundalk – all weather – polytrack
2.00 Despite the big field , few have a serious chance and the recent 3rd over C&D by Lady De Vesci in a much better race stands out as race winning form .
½ pt win Lady de Vesci @ 5/2
4.10 Jered Maddox has run well In all of his recent runs, including close up here the last twice off this mark . This late player is hard to win with and has the worst of the draw , but is looking like a winner about to happen here .
¼ pt win Jered Maddox @ 5/1
Selected Southwell – all weather – fibresand
4.35 Hard to fancy many here and the clear form horse is Grand pianola after a good effort when 2nd over C&D, but does have a harsh 4 pound penalty . Willa is a long standing maiden but is rarely far away and the drop into Class 6 may do the job . New to this surface but crucially the dame won here , so could thrive on the surface.
¼ pt win Willa @ 9/2
5.05 Charlie Fellowes comes here on a hat-trick but has an enormous weight to carry and connections are using a 7 pound claimer who is 0 from 11 . A pint Of Beer is proven on the surface but is another penalised runner going up in trip Professor Gallant has flopped here before while Princess Lir did well on debut but it was on tapeta. ???

5.35 Both puchita and Moveonup are track specialists and despite now being on testing marks , this race looks a straight fight. ¼ pt rev fc Puchita Moveonup
6.05 PREMIUM RACE
6.35 A right puzzle with the majority of the field closely matched at the ratings but few proven at the trip and NONE on the surface . Pure guesswork – Not my style.

7.05 A race very much full of ifs , buts and maybes .

7.35 The likely winner is Cape Greco , proven over C&D off around this mark, and despite being consistent , wins are hard to come by and the new headgear is not a positive for the stable

8.05 Another race where you’re having to exercise far too much guesswork .
