12.20 PREMIUM RACE
12.50 PREMIUM RACE
1.50 A big field for this low grade stayers handicap and quite a few of the form horses try this unique surface for the first time and these include Reassurance and Spring Run , but the way to go here is to stick with those proven on the surface . Lucky Robin is usually seen doing his best over fences but this usually reliable type has not been at his best at the jumping game , at which is usually competitive off a mark of 110 , which is 77 on the flat, so fair to expect something decent back on the flat last time off a mark of just 46 ! the run coming here but over a 2 furlong longer trip , and did well only giving best late on and another good run likely today .
¼ pt ew Lucky Robin @ 6/1
2.20 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 This looks very much a match between Grand Pianola and Grimsthorpe Castle , who have locked horns a couple of time over C&D of late and there’s never much between them but on these terms , the former gets the nod .
½ pt win Grand Pianola @ 5/2
3.20 PREMIUM RACE
3.50 Tom Tulliver won well here recently but it wasn’t a deep race and the longer trip and the stiff penalty wont help. Pearl Of Qatar is 2 from 2 over C&d but would do well to confirm recent form with Kraka and Alex Gracie on revised terms and the latter must be a lively longshot on that form.
¼ pt ew Alex Gracie @ 18/1

Selected Fakenham – good ground on this flat and very sharp track , speed track
12.33 The odds on fav is recent Lingfield winner Mount Windsor , but that came off a 7 pound lower mark and also on soft ground , so happy to take him on today especially ridden by an inexperienced jockey . Most of the rest have little to recommend but Glorious dane ran pretty well over C&D last time on similar ground and course form counts for plenty here .
¼ pt ew Glorious Dane @ 9/2
1.03 Gleno returned from a long break with a good win in the Lingfield mud but is another who’s heavily penalised and quicker ground will test and could also “ Bounce “ . Hard to find the one to nail this tricky event .
No Bet
1.33 The fav is Go Cheque who was expected to do well first time over hurdles last time but was well beaten , but the competition was red hot so we could see an improved run , but she was well beaten . Tricky with 3 others having claims .
No Bet
2.03 Getawy Trump has run far more bad races than good of late and is unlikely to get anywhere near the useful Happygolucky who looks one to have on the right side this season ,but is 4/7 .

2.33 Getariver made a bold bid to make all last time at Stratford and could take some catching round here .
¼ pt win Getariver @ 5/2
3.03 The short priced fav is Muilean Na Madog who recently returned from a long break for his first run for the top stable of Dan Skelton and ran well to be 3rd in the Lingfield mud, but the drop in trip and quicker ground wont help this one who looks a probable bouncer . Glimpse of Gold won very well here last time beating a useful yardstick off what looked a tough enough mark of 104 . He switches to fences today off a mark of just 98 and in the past has coped with the larger obstacles well enough . A prominent ride is on the cards and despite both Wisecracker and Champion Chase being consistent , they are very hard to win with .
½ pt win Glimpse Of Gold @ 7/2

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta- The track is stiff and galloping
3.40 The fav is the lightly raced youngster Eagle’s Foot , a tidy winner over C&D last time out but has little to spare with Teescomponentsfly, only just over a length behind and 3 pounds better off and this one is another unexposed youngster . Wemyss Point was 11 lengths behind the winner in that race but is 11 pounds better off and showed his best form for some time with a solid 2nd over C&D last time . He’s not the horse he was but really well handicapped and could surprise .
¼ pt ew Wemyss Point @ 10/1
4.45 Victory Heights ran a cracker here last time in a Class 2 event beaten less than a length and while the drop in trip is not ideal, this is much easier and should reward odds on players .

5.15 Quite a few in form ones but Tapeten Toni has more to do than when landing a modest Chelmsford handicap switching to a more demanding C&D off a higher mark . The lightly raced Elland Road Boy won well on the southwell fibresand last time, just edging out Mokaman , but both are up In the weights and unproven here . Attaboy Roy was well supported in his first nursery which was over C&D running well to be 3rd but did look an awkward character and blinkers are tried today , which is not a positive for the stable . Not far behind in 5th was Hotalena who did well hanging on for so long being front rank most of the way . Down in the ratings again, looks a lively longshot .
¼ pt Ew Hotalena @ 20/1
5.45 Broctune Red finally broke his duck at the 15th attempt over C&d last time and not out of this with just a 3 pound penalty . The lightly raced Stealing Silk also won here last time but over a shorter trip and 7 pounds lower , so a bit to prove tonight . There’s plenty of early pace in this which will help the late player Calonne , who’s run well over C&D the last twice. This is a rare try in Class 6 an could be his day .
¼ pt ew Callone @ 9/2
6.15 The short priced fav is track regular , the very hard to win with Chosen Word , a close 2nd here last time but up in trip and a harsh 4 pounds in the ratings. Previously he was a close 2nd over C&D behind the prolific Great Colaci with Martins Brig just a length behind in 3rd and as this one is 4 pounds better off, has to be a very nice ew play .
½ pt ew Martins Brig @ 11/1
6.45 The lightly raced Continental too to this surface really well last time with a good win over C&D , just touching off Mo Henry , who has a good pull in the weights , but as that was his first run for a long time, unlikely to reproduce that good run. The selection is just 3 pounds higher and as he’s unexposed , is taken to double up in a modest heat .
½ pt win Continental @ 3/1
7.15 Billy Dylan finally responded to help from the handicapper with a much improved effort over C&D when 3rd off this mark outrunning very long odds. It wasn’t that long ago he was winning off 30 pound higher marks, obviously not as good now for whatever reason ,but definite chance tonight .
¼ pt ew Billy Dylan @ 9/1
7.45 Not a deep finale and the hat-trick seeking youngster Burrows Seeside is the one to beat , despite the 5 pound hit and the extra furlong . Hard to find solid opposition , but short enough for me at around 6/4 .
