Selected Ayr- heavy ground on this flat and galloping track
12.30 Castle Rushen has run well in al 3 starts, which have all been here in the mud . The longer trip is in his favour and looks a most solid odds on fav with the trip on deep ground not in the favour of chief rival Fearless.
1.00Happy Hollow returned from a long absence with a fair effort here last time ,but drops in trip and could well bounce and go backwards today . This looks well straightforward for clear form horse Unohu, proven at the trip and ground .
½ pt double Castle Rushen @ 8/13 Unohu @ 1/2
1.35 Legalized will run his race but has become very hard to win with, Bryden Boy has become very hard to predict but relishes a slog in the mud , but comeback spin was most tame. O’Hanrahan Bridge nailed a deserved win last time at Carlisle and could be up the defying the penalty as he’s unexposed but preference is for skipthescales after a bold effort over C&D on deep ground last time when trying to make all and wasn’t beaten far at all at the line
¼ pt win Skipthescales @ 9/2
2.10 An interesting Class 3 for novice chasers and the short priced fav is recent course winner Empire Steel, but that came after a long break so may not be in that kind of form today and the longer trip is an issue on the ground. Skandiburg landed an Aintree handicap hurdle in the mud last year and followed up at Cheltenham, both on deep ground , the latter off a good mark of 134. His chase debut was Ok considering it was at The tight Fakenham on quick ground . Expect far better today . Mayo Star was 2 from 2 last year . both times a facile winner and is the obvious danger .
¼ pt win Skandiburg @ 11/4
3.40 Fly By Milan ran really well on debut over C&D on soft ground which gives the edge over highstakesplayer whose good debut run came on a much stiffer track .
½ pt win Fly By Milan @ 5/4

Selected Fakenham – good ground on this flat and very sharp track
12.45 Dash of Blue comes here on the back of a good win at Southwell and the 2nd horse won well yesterday . The 4 pound hit could have been harsher and this youngster looks capable of wins off ar least this mark . This tight track should suit and this isn’t a deep race . Both Andapa and Ermyns Emerald are very hard to win with and the former’s best runs have come on softer ground while the latter is unlikely to reproduce his good comeback spin 2nd race back .
½ pt win Dash of Blue @ 9/4
1.15 Big Chief Benny is hard to win with nowadays and recent runs not encouraging . Thomas Todd has a terrific record here but is nor a bit high in the weights and usual headgear missing . captain Speaking is 2 from 3 from chasing , winning on good ground and tight tracks and could be ahead of the game despite the 7 pound hit and is much preferred to the poorly handicapped hat-trick seeker , who ‘s far better in the mud on stiff tracks .
¼ pt win Captain Speaking @ 5/2
2.20 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 It was quite a deep novice event when Grouseman defied long odds to be an excellent 2nd at Catterick so this C&S should be fine. The Cincinatti Kid is an in form flat horse and the Alan King does well here with his juveniles and an obvious danger .
¼ pt win Grouseman @ 2/1

1.25 Al Zaraqaan made his debut last year in the Newmarket mud , not showing a great deal and reappeared 8 months later with a good win at Donny on firm ground and here he is 5 months later carrying a penalty first try on synthetics. It’s always a concern when horses have lengthy breaks between their races , so fair to treat this odds on shot with caution . The consistent My Girl Maizie is consistent but is another returning from a 5 months break . The only other one with any chance is the Godolphin newcomer Shining Example , as you may expect , related to some smart types and with doubts regarding the main dangers , worth a play .
½ pt win Shining Example @ 5/2
1.55 The fav is Mused , a decent 2nd here last time but drops in trip which could open the door for either River Chorus and Vanitas , who are very hard to split .
No Bet
2.30 Not a deep heat and the short priced fav is Sharla , who outrun long odds to be 2nd over c&D on debut, but that didn’t look a deep race either , so happy to skip this one .
NO Bet
3.00 Campeo ran a solid race on debut when 3rd ,but it was on the Newcastle tapeta, so quicker conditions today which may well not suit and I’d rather play the Roger Varian newcomer in Zaajel, in very high profile colours.
¼ pt win Zaajel @ 11/4
3.30 Very tough task for recent Southwell winner Spring Romance, penalised . up to a trip which hasn’t helped in the past , badly drawn and switching surfaces. The lightly raced Noble Queen is with a good stable and won well at Chelmsford City last time , but that was over a longer trip and a 7 pound lower mark . Veteran Misu Pete can still go a bit and runs this track well. Has the perfect draw for a front runner and could take some catching in a winnable race .
¼ pt ew Misu Pete @ 12/1
4.05 There is very little to choose between Liberty Bay , Acquisitor and a Day of Mischief on recent C&D form and it’s case of the race falling right for one of them .
No Bet
4.35 Gold Brocade is very consistent but wins are elusive , but this should be her day . Well drawn for a prominent racer , on a workable mark and fine at the trip and surface. Phoenix Star has 3 C&D wins on his CV , but the 3 pound hit will test . The tip should really be landing this.
½ pt win Gold Brocade @ 3/1
5.05 The consistent Azeta will give it a right go from a good draw and is ridden today by a 7 pound claimer , who of course takes weight off the saddle but you have to decide if it’s worth sacrificing professional handling for a rider with a most modest strike rate. Cashel is a bit high in the weights but is holding his form well and can land a winnable finale .
¼ pt win Cashel @ 5/2

4.50 not a deep race and a good chance for the lightly raced Muftakker to double up for a recent win here over shorter , but ,longer trip looks OK and is taken to defy a 5 pound penalty .
½ pt win Muftakker @ 7/2
5.20 All it took for He’s A Keeper to get back on the scoresheet was a drop in the ratings and going up in trip , winning pretty much as he pleased over C&D He just about made all last time and despite combine having a pull in the weights for his close 2nd,the tip looks a big improver now they’ve found the key .The in form Notation has a bit to prove switching from fibresand and the in form Madeeh will find it tough going up in grade.
½ pt win He’s A Keeper @ 10/3
5.50 Another winnable race and may be worth sticking with recent track winner Harlow under a small penalty and looks set for the longer trip .
¼ pt win Harlow @ 3/1
6.20 They practicaly all have a chance for the wrong reasons as you can pick big holes in ALL of their chances . The fav is Moolight In Paris , who has drawn a blank all season and has been shoved up a very harsh 8 pounds for a good 4th in the Donny mud, her favourite conditions , so a bit to prove trying synthetics for the first time .
NO Bet
6.50 Elmetto ran well on his comeback spin and last year had only one race , a year before his 2nd, so obviously not the hardiest and despite the weak race, may not be the “ Sure Thing “ the bookies make him and new to the surface .
No Bet
7.20 Inner Circle certainly runs his race , and has been runner up in his last 4 runs , but so hard to win with and was easily worried out of it last time by a far more determined foe. That looks likely again tonight as the reliable front running Rockesbury could take a bit of catching .
½ pt win Rockesbury @ 4/1
