There were small losses for both the Premium Tips and lays and while of course profits are most preferable

In a month when  many days were raced on heavy ground, we didn't suffer greatly .

This month heralds the return of the flat season and The Chelrenham Festival, so if you haven't taken advantage of

the free week's trial,  this is an ideal time to do so . Just register and follow the prompts

I thank you for your loyal custom and hope you are enjoying watching the vast majority of the tips

running big races at big odds

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

By Gum , she'll be hard to beat in the 2.45

Today's Terrific Treble

£5 treble - pays £80+

make It Rain 12.00 @ 11/8

Gumra 2.45 @ 7/4

Razor Glass 5.30 @ 6/4

Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack

11.30 None of these really stick out so I’m chancing C&D winner King Athlestan , who had a recent pipeopener here over a trip too far and was doing his best work late on , held for a late surge . Expect a more prominent ride back to his best trip from a good draw and on a workable mark .

½ pt win King Athelstan @ 11/2

12.00 Yes My Boy made all over C&D last time for a clear win , but it was a winnable heat and is a hefty 6 pounds higher. Make It Rain did very well to win cosily over C&D last time from the worst of the draw and in this small field is very likely to be on the tail of the leader from flagfall as the other three are late players and hard to fancy . He too is 6 pounds higher but is 3 from 3 on synthetics and looks like going 4 from 4 .

½ pt win Make It Rain @ 6/4

12.35 The short priced fav is Mystical Air , one of the few with experience , but it was only an OK run and the winner has been well beaten since . Some well bred newcomers in opposition .

No Bet

1.05 Another short priced fav in Ocean Road who I’m happy to take on from the worst of the draw, returning from a break and her good 2nd was achieved on soft turf . Lochnaver ran well last time at Chelmsford City and this longer trip will suit .

½ pt win Lochnaver @ 5/2

1.40 Prior to his last run , Fox Duty Free had refused to race the previous two times, but was very well backed over C&D last time and sluiced in . He’s been hit with a massive 11 pound hit and in my experience , it’s never safe to go back in the water as far as temperamental horse go , and wouldn’t shock me if he dug his heels in again , but even if deciding to run has a stiff task . Alminoor is an admirable sort and did wonders to win at Chelmsford City last time from the worst of the draw making all , but looking at his profile , despite 3 wins and 2 seconds in five runs , you are awaiting this one to flop sooner than later . After two good runs for Mark Johnston , he was move on to Ivan Furtado after a break of 18 months , and with that in the back of your mind , he looks a bouncer about to happen , but will put the pace to the race and even fit and well has a hard task with a 6 pound penalty . Ejtibaab hasn’t had much racing and did it well last time so is much respected as is the late playing Tipperary Jack who gets the nod at the weights. The in form Total Commitment is well named but a penalty , from the worst of the draw going up in trip rules him out .

¼ pt  ew  Tipperary Jack @ 6/1

2.10 The consistent Cuban Cigar wont be suited to the drop in trip and this could well be fought out by Arthur’s angel and Nurse Dee , as it was at Chelmsford City at the weekend in a similar event , but the latter has a nice weight pull so a nice ew play .

¼ pt  ew  Nurse Dee @ 11/2

2.45 The lightly raced Gumra goes for the 4 timer , and despite the 6 pound hit looks way ahead of the game, especially in this modest heat . He’s a hold up type and that’s the only worry as there’s little early pace in this , but can race prominently , so hopefully Adam Kirby has done his homework and takes a handy sit on what should be a steady pace .

¾ pt win Gumra @ 7/4

Selected Haydock – heavy ground on this flat and galloping track

12.10 The lightly raced Bushypark was backed from long odds into 7/4 fav last time in the Hexham mud and those in the know never had a moment’s worry as he sluiced in . That wasn’t a deep race and he has a very hefty 15 pound penalty , he goes up in trip by half a mile , this is a very different track and is ridden today by a jockey who has only 1 win on the board this season from 23 tries ! So plenty of reasons to try and find one to beat him , but this is a weak affair. Wazowski handles soft ground well but not so much heavy , as it was last time at Bangor where he looked the likely winner until the deep ground took its toll late on. Still looks a nice ew play in this field .

¼ pt  ew  Wazowski @ 8/1

12.45 Another uncompetitive race and another short priced fav in Torn and frayed , still in search of a first win and ran well a number of times last year but ran poorly in his recent comeback spin, but in calmer waters today , but I wont be on at evens .

No Bet

1.15 It’s hard to fancy Royal Piggale after some very modest efforts last year while Redford Road had some useful hurdles form last year but not fired over fences this season . This looks very tight between Espoir De Romay and Doc Penfro , and the bookies agree.

No Bet

1.50 Qualismart was well backed to win on debut at Market Rasen, but it wasn’t a strong heat and today’s deep ground will test him also. Both Adrimel and ranch Hand are also 1 from 1 over hurdles but preference for the latter who was  rated a lofty and accurate 106 on the flat and ran well here on the flat on deep ground .

½ pt win Ranch Hand @ 7/2

2.20 A veteran’s race and plenty of these have been wrapped in cotton wool of late , rarely seeing the racetrack . in his youth Seeyouatmidnight was most prolific , winning at all of the big tracks off very high marks . He contested the 2018 Aintree Grand National and came homme an exhausted horse but after a long break won very well second race back. He remains on a very good maek but remains risky , like all of these are , as no knowing if they have the constitution for a 3 mile slog in the mud, but of them all, he looks most likely .

½ pt win Seeyouatmidnight @ 9/2

Selected Ludlow- good to soft on this flat and sharp track

12.20 Despite the big field, very few have any chance at all. The clear form horse is Falberto , but the drying ground and the emphasis on speed at this track are not in his favour, but could just about grind this out.

¼ pt win Falberto @ 7/4

12.55 Not a deep race and understandable that Theatre Mix is the fav after  an unlucky fall last time , but softer ground today and that good run did come a bit out of the blue . Miss gemstone did Ok on her chase debut when 2nd in a modest event , but this looks no harder .

¼ pt win Miss Gemstone @ 4/1

1.30 PREMIUM RACE

2.00  None of these are setting the track on fire presently but the once very useful and prolific Fagin ran a tidy race last time and gets the vote .

¼ pt win Fagin @ 7/2

2.35 Take your pick of these four , who are all decent types but only Golan Fortune comes here in any kind of form , but he’s the only one with no experience over fences .

No Bet

3.10 Despite the big field this looks very much a match between the hat-trick seeking Mr Washington , who has no penalty for his recent win and should be fine at this longer trip against the consistent but luckless Kabrit , who was an excellent 2nd over C&D last time and under stronger handling , this could be his day .

½ pt win Kabrit @ 3/1

No advice from Dundalk today – another benefit day for the bookies with so many in with a mild chance in each race

Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack

5.00  A golden opportunity for Eastern Delight in what looks a modest maiden bringing comfortably the best form on offer and first time visor a big positive for the top stable .

¾ pt win Eastern Delight @ 4/5

5.30 Razor Glass goes for the C&D hat-trick and the 6 pound hit unlikely to stop this front runner. Sir Benedict has a bit to prove switching from turf .

¾ pt win Razor Glass @ 6/4

6.00 PREMIUM RACE

6.30 After been called a few rude names for blowing good opportunities , Johnny Drama has put that behind him and goes for the all weather 4 timer. He is the clear form horse and could well go in again, but only 6/4 . Sinjaari ran well last time but has stamina to prove while the two Irish raiders make  little appeal on current form or on this surface. Tribal Craft can be relied upon to run her race and a nice ew play .

¼ pt  ew  Tribal Craft @ 11/1

7.00 Lord Halifax won this last year off the same mark but isn’t really firing of late and preference is for Godolphin’s Princess Bride, dropped in the ratings and bred for the trip .

¼ pt win Princess Bride @ 11/2

7.30 PREMIUM RACE

8.00 For the 5th time in 6 races Fly The Nest finished a close 2nd and is effective over C&D. He’s now 0 from 16 but there seems nothing wrong with his determination . This is not deep, well drawn and good jockey booking .

¼ pt win Fly The Nest @ 5/2

8.30 A very weak  finale and often it pays to go with the top weight, the best horse , which is Run after genesis, a recent close 3rd over C&D off a higher mark and a far deeper race,

¼ pt win Run After Genesis @ 5/2
