There were small losses for both the Premium Tips and lays and while of course profits are most preferable

In a month when  many days were raced on heavy ground, we didn't suffer greatly .

This month heralds the return of the flat season and The Cheltenham Festival, so if you haven't taken advantage of

the free week's trial,  this is an ideal time to do so . Just register and follow the prompts

I thank you for your loyal custom and hope you are enjoying watching the vast majority of the tips

running big races at big odds

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

She can " Empress" again in the 3.35

Today's Fortune for a fiver

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

Gowanlad 5.15 @ 5/1

Crossley Tender 1.30 @ 9/4

Empressive Lady 3.35 @ 4/1

Selected Sedgefield – probably soft ground on this undulating and sharp track

12.00 Not a deep novice event and the ultra consistent Tommy’s Oscar makes comfortably most appeal . He ran well in a number of Irish Points last season on a variety of ground and did well to be 2nd in a good ground bumper at Newcastle . The C&D could be a bit sharp , but still preferred in a race which wont take much winning .

½ pt win Tommy’s Oscar @ 2/1

12.35 The penny has certainly dropped for young mare Catchmeifyoucan , winning her last two very well but they were both on good ground at much longer trips , also has a 10 pound penalty and ridden today by a 7 pound claimer , so all in all, would do well to win . At First Glance made all at Southwell last time and another big run expected with just a 4 pound penalty in a modest heat . Lostnfound finally took advantage of the handicapper’s generosity off a plummeting mark with a last gasp win over C&D last time , coming from some way back , but they did finish in a heap in that modest heat , but still makes ew appeal .

¼ pt  ew  Lostnfound @ 11/1

1.05 Spin The Coin has run well in all of his last 3 runs and can land a modest heat .

½ pt win Spin A coin @ 11/4

Selected Exeter- very soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

12.25 The in form Espressino remains on a good mark and no issue with the C&D but certainly is with the ground as has struggled on soft in the past . Kerb Line is going well and has a favourite’s chance but chances can also be given to the in form pair of With Pleasure and Puzzle Cache with the nod going to the latter , likely to appreciate the C&D in the mud .

¼ pt  ew  Puzzle Cache @ 11/1

1.30 Crossley Tender has really taken off of late coming here on a 4 timer, his latest win coming here over fences and no issue switching to hurdles off a good mark . Looks hard to beat .

¾ pt win Crossley Tender @ 9/4

2.05 Should be an exercise canter for the highly promising The Big Breakaway , but he is 1/5 !

No Bet

2.40 The likeable Severano has a bit to do with a penalty and on deep ground around this demanding C&D . Molineaux is preferred , and doesn’t have a great deal to beat .

½ pt win Molineaux @ 7/2

Selected Sandown – very soft ground on this stiff and galloping track

12.45 The consistent if luckless Boughtbeforelunch was a good 2nd in this last year behind Le Boizelo and another good run likely from this front runner who could swell spoil the chance of the fav MY Way , who also likes to dominate and the fav does have a bit to prove over a stiff C&D in the mud. The prolific veteran Call Me vic ran really well on his first start for Fergal O’Brien under this jockey at Cheltenham and on deeper ground and with a good race make up for a strong stayer , could land this at long odds.

½ pt win Call Me Vic @ 12/1

1.15 Ardmayle is the likely winner as he runs this C&D well in the mud, but two runs this season could have been better . Tricky stuff .

No Bet

1.50 A chance can be given to many in this and there are 4 last time winners, but despite Funambule Sivola being the least exposed, a bit to prove up in trip on deep ground under a stiff penalty . Morning Vicar is entitled to go close despite the penalty while Top Man is 1 from 1 over fences , doing it very nicely , so hard to ignore. The nod goes to the progressive Alnadam , a good 2nd in his first chase in the Carlisle mud at this trip, so conditions wont faze him .

¼ pt win Alnadam @ 6/1

2.25 Star Gate looked good winning first time over hurdles and is the worthy fav but all of these are unexposed and hard to assess .

No Bet

3.00 Portrush Ted only ran twice last season, winning first time out , landing a hat-trick in the process and was still leading In the Haydock mud until falling at the last and resumes duties of around the same mark . He’s the likely front runner today and could take a bit of reeling in . He owes nobody anything with 4 wins and 2 seconds in 8 starts. First start on a stiff track is a worry , but nice odds for his chance. The lightly raced illegal Model ran very well in a big field handicap last time in the mud and is much feared .

¼ pt win Portrush Ted @ 8/1

3.35 Vegas Blue let the side down badly last time when odds on, but the 2nd horse dotted in yesterday , so may not be the flop it looked , but deep ground no help . The lightly raced Empressive Lady sluiced in at Exeter last time on soft ground and the longer trip looks right up her street . Not on a bad mark and can land a winnable finale.

¾ pt win Empressive Lady @ 4/1

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta . the track is stiff and galloping

3.10 Useful bumper Fair Star has done little wrong since racing on the flat with 2 wins and a 2nd all at Wolver , so proven on the surface . He only failed by a short head last time off this mark , a race he should have won . The drop in trip unlikely to be a problem and has strong claims here , but the bookies agree making him a short priced fav. The lightly raced King of The south won well over C&d last time in his first run for William Knight The 6 pound hit will test in  deeper race but still open to improvement and  hard to rule out Paddyplex is massively consistent and has gone close over C&D off around this mark , but wins have been hard to come by, but unlikely to be far away and a nice ew play .

¼ pt  ew  Paddyplex @ 12/1

3.45 PREMIUM RACE

4.15 It looked a deep maiden when Violet Warda was a close 3rd over C&D and looks a very solid short priced fav .

½ pt won Violet Warda @ 10/11

4.45 Nurseries here are never easy with the chance of a lightly raced one just taking to the track off a good mark and often it’s hard to see it coming so happy to be with one of the more exposed runners in the in form Fircombe Hall, a good recent 2nd over C&D off a similar mark . Patsy Fagan is rarely far away but is looking hard to win with and at short odds , happy to look elsewhere .

¼ pt  ew  Fircombe Hall @ 6/1

5.15 Youngster Gowanlad is 2 from 2 this season and after an easy win over C&d in a maiden he landed a handicap at Wolver , running on well to land the spoils and a return to this track very much in his favour . Just 3 pounds higher and this unexposed youngster can go in again .

½ pt  ew Gowanlad @ 5/1

5.45 PREMIUM RACE

6.45  First Reponse always runs well here and this is a slight drop in grade , but he’s better over an extra furlong and preference is for Deb’s Delight who’s had a light season , no bad thing , and did well over C&D last time and is dropped 3 pounds . Late player .

½ pt  ew  Debs Delight @ 9/1
