Selected Hereford – heavy ground on this flat and sharp track
12.25 The short priced fav is Keep Rolling who has yet to discover his good form of a few seasons ago and today’s ground and trip are from ideal and certainly looks one to take on . It’s not a deep race but My Late Oscar shaped up well last time inferring a longer trip will suit in the mud .
¼ pt win My Late Oscar @ 11/2
1.25 The longer trip is the issue with Fado Des Brosses while the going isn’t ideal for Red River , The useful Tobefair has hardly shone in previous chase attempts so this leaves us with the reliable Sunset Showdown , who stays the trip In the mud and this former chaser could surprise higher rated rivals .
1/2 pt win Sunset Showdown @ 9/2
1.55 Youngster Guy has run two mighty races this season and did little wrong when 2nd in the Wetherby mud last time and is chanced over a slightly longer trip and deeper ground .Eclair Surf the obvious danger .
½ pt win Guy @ 3/1
2.30 This should be easy for clear form horse Demopolis but 5/4 too short for me .

Selected Hereford – heavy ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
1.05 Not a deep novice hurdle and likely to be fought out between the top three in the market . Dock Road brings decent experience to the table with a strong finishing 2nd over c&D on his debut but the winner has flopped badly since and deeper ground today . Red Lion Lad won his Irish point at the first time of asking but preference is for dual bumper winner in Karl Phillipe , who handles the mud and deep ground and has impressed winning his races under patient rides .
½ pt win Karl Phillipe @ evens
2.05 Decent novice Hooligan has a tough task off a high mark for what he has achieved and this stiff C&D in the mud is not ideal . One who wont mind the C&D and ground is Trans Express who’s won this race for the last three years , all off higher marks than today . Recent form is a bit patchy but this looks his target . Brinsley looked realy good when winning a novice event at Newbury in some style and remains in the could be anything category .
¼ pt win Trans Express @ 11/4
2.40 A good quality stayers chase and the fav is the prolific Innisfee Lad who has no penalty for an easy win last time , but that was a modest heat but has looked a much improved performer over fences . This is a rare run on a stiff track and there are plenty of alternatives in this . Cobolobo ran well over C&D last time but could bounce today 2nd run back after a break while the lightly raced Butterwick Brook ran well for a long way in that race and not ruled out. The winner of that race is the very much in form Crossley Tender , 3 wins and a 2nd in his last 4. He’s up a punishing 8 pounds but did win that race with ease and gets the nod . Go whatever and Le boizelo are others in with a chance In an open race .

2.15 A number of C&d regulars here but the back to form Slowmo has a tough task to confirm form with a few of these with a hefty penalty and unfavourable high draw . Both Arazak and Loulin are recent C&D winners with good draw and despite both being a little high in the weights, wont be far away. Red Stripes has been running OK despite his poor draws here of late and the handicapper has given him a real chance today . He’s well drawn and is likely to be front rank throughout and sees the trip out well . Bluella is another who has good enough C&D form and is better drawn this time . Open heat .
¼ pt ew Red Stripes @ 6/1
2.50 The fav is the very hard to win with Passional , who is frequently placed but is 0 from 7 for win purposes and his worst effort of late came here . There are a number of dark horses in this .

4.00 This looks a straight fight between the in form C&D specialists in Fortuitous and Grimsthorpe Castle , who never fails to run his race but is 4 pounds worse off with his rival for a narrow defeat over C&D. This pair are both now on testing marks but hard to include anything else . Fortuitous is understandably a short priced fav, too short for me .

4.35 Notation goes very well over C&D but a recent 5 pound hit doesn’t help. Tricky stuff .

5.10 The bookies make this a match between Badger Berry , who is now on a stiff mark and C&D regular Geography Teacher , who’s never been the easiest to win with . Both are hold up types which opens the door for C&d specialist Crazy Spin who ran well for a long way in his recent comeback spin , which was the case last year and then proceeded to put together a useful series of runs . He could take some catching from the front.
½ p twin Crazy Spin @ 9/2

4.20 The Attorney is the long odds on fav and comes here on the back of an incredible run at Lingfield when he set out to make all and was going very nicely thank you until swinging wide round one of the bends and dropped to last but rallied and was beaten just over a length . If he’s had kept straight he would have sluiced in , but could repeat the antics tonight so worth a small dabbleon Medway after a couple of OK runs at this trip .
¼ pt win Medway @ 13/2
4.55 After a useful debut Melody of Life is understandably a warm order for this but with a number of top stables having lightly raced representatives, I can pass.

5.30 The only winner in the field is Swinton noon , a winner at Southwell , so a bit to prove on the surface but the longer trip could come to his rescue . On the negative side , he’s 6 pounds higher and has a shocking draw for a front runner. Eyes has run some decent races off around this mark and over C&D and shouldn’t be far away.
¼ pt ew Eyes @9/1
6.00 Kondo Isami has run two good races but on tapeta and takes on a trio of Godolphin newcomers and one of those , Tamborrado is a short priced fav . The others with experience are all entitled to come on from reasonable debuts .

6.30 Fox Premier has struggled this year while this Surface asks questions of the in form pair of The Trader and Sha La La La Lee . Global art goes well here but his mark just a bit too high . Oslo doesn’t win many but has run well over C&D off around this mark and this could be his night.
¼ pt ew Oslo @ 7/1
7.00 The short priced fav is the Godolphin youngster Kingwear, but he was well held off this mark last time and longer trip not sure to suit . The classy Red Verdon comes here on the back of a big run in a hot Kempton contest and this easier company and longer trip will suit .
½ pt win Red Verdon @ 7/2
7.30 PREMIUM RACE
8.00 The very wonderful Dawaalaab is a tough and talented type but the 4 pound hit and the switch to polytrack no help . He’s likely to take them along but could well be a sitting duck late on . Ayr Harbour goes for the hat-trick after a C&D win last time in a moderately run race where he was in the right place at the right time , but still considered with just a 2 pound penalty . Preference is for Assimilation who went close off this mark last time and looks overpriced for is chance.
