Selected Fontwell – good ground on this harp track but plenty of rain forecast so going very likely to soften
1.30 This will take little winning and looks a straight fight between the 4 timer seeking mount Windsor, who would do very well to go in again returning from a 3 months break off an 8 pound higher mark up against the consistent but pretty hard to win with Nordic Combined , but disappointing if he can’t land this .
¼ pt win Nordic Combined @ 7/2
2.00 PREMIUM RACE
3.02 Kapga De lily’s winning spree came to an abrupt end last time and is looking held off this mark . Rose Of Aghaboe landed a small field but competitive heat last time, when always in control and looks well capable of defying an Ok penalty .
½ pt win Rose Of Aghaboe @ 7/4
3.32 The pair who catch the eye in the big field handicap are the lightly raced Little vern , who runs for a top stable and did well when dropped to this mark last time but is returning from a break and the longer trip a worry . Preference is for Just Henry who is also with a good stable and was unlucky to have the race taken off him when winning over C&D in the mud off this mark and last time was far from out of it when taking a late fall over C&D . Her best form is in the mud but the forecast rain could well result in ideal conditions .
¼ pt ew Just Henry @ 9/1
Selected Lingfield – all weather – polytrack
1.15 Lady wood comes here on a hat-trick but a bit to prove with a 6 pound hit , up in trip and returning from a 2 months break .the reliable Space Kid has huge stamina doubts so happy to have a dabble on the lightly raced In The genes, not disgraced in a handicap last time and longer trip under Hollie Doyle could do the trick . The rest are very hard to fancy .
¼ pt win In The genes @ 9/1
1.45 Caribeno is 1/5 for the 6 timer , enough said.
2.20 western symphony is the worthy even money fa but I can pass at those odds.
2.50 Mercurist was a smart winner over C&D last time but the 7 pound penalty is most stiff. Violet’s Lads is holding her form well off her new tough mark and despite the wide draw , holds clear longshot claims in a race where few can be considered. Recent C&d winner Rivas Rob Boy would do very well to feature up in the ratings sharply and also in grade .
¼ pt ew Violet’s Lads @ 12/1
3.20 Gloves Lynch continues to get every assistance from the handicapper ,keeps getting backed and keeps running moderately and connections try a longer trip , but still hard to fancy . The fav is the in form Silver Dust but this one has a bit to prove switching to polytrack . There is a distinct lack of early pace in this and very possible something could pinch an early lead and get the run of the race from the front . Gavi Di Gavi was given a prominent ride when sluicing in at Wolver by 4 lengths and backed that up with a cracking effort over C&D when held for a late charge with the admirably consistent Accomplice just behind and the weight differential is the same . his latest effort back at Wolver can be forgotten as he got into all kinds of trouble and I’m expecting regular rider Georgia King to have done her homework and take the bull by the horns .
½ pt win Gavi Di Gavi @ 15/2 ¼ pt rev fc Gavid Di Gavi – accomplice
3.55 An absolutely red hot Class 3 handicap sprint, full of in form and reliable types and a few of these unbeaten and unexposed . The fav is the front running Diligent Harry , but will have company up front and his wins didn’t come in the strongest of maidens . Popmaster is also 2 from 2 both wins coming at this trip at Kempton and both times coming off the pace but his opening mark looks tough enough . Secret Handshake also comes here on a hat-trick but previous wins were at Southwell on fibresand and will find this very tough with an 8 pound penalty . Significantly had been called a few rude names blowing clear chances but the faithful were rewarded by an all the way win on the Newcastle tapeta . His mark looks Ok but the surface a worry . Bedford Flyer has developed into a cracking sprinter but goes up In trip off a high mark . Rohann landed a quick hat-trick off much lower marks but this late playing strong finisher has held his form pretty well off his new testing mark and with a strong pace assured can pinch this late on . Charlie Fellowes is an admirable type, effective over C&D and despite a testing mark, sure to run his race.
¼ pt ew Rohaan @ 6/1
5.00 Snopper was so unlucky last time over C&d when completely missing the start bit gathered himself together and flew home to be a close 4th behind Hotalena and as long as he starts on terms, every chance of defying a 2 pound higher mark in a winnable finale .
1/ 2 pt win Snooper @ 2/1
Selected Catterick - good to soft on this undulating and sharp track
2.10 PREMIUM RACE
2.40 Not a deep maiden and with the form horse sashenka making a right meal of getting her nose in front prefer the chance of the ex_Irish , Whispering Gypsy ,who won a Jumper Bumper in style last time, first run for her top stable and this wont take much winning .
½ win Whispering Gypsy @ 9/4
3.10 Fire way comes here on a hat -trick but drops in trip and also has a massive penalty. As Smith’s Cross is very hard to win with , the downgraded Danculo Du gite is the call .
¼ pt win Danculo Du Gite @ 2/1
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
4.45 The C&d specialist Phoenix Star did well on his recent comeback spin ,nailed by the back to form Madrino , who is 4 pound worse off for the length victory . That wasn’t the strongest of races and prefer the late playing Global Guest , who’s in good form , nicely drawn and will have an ideal strong pace to come off .
½ pt ew Global Guest @ 15/2
5.15 None of the newcomers look likely so this should be between the trio with decent experience but the penalised Fanghorn returns from a 6 months break and is new to synthetics while Bobby On The beat has the best form but has had plenty of chances and also returns from a 6 months break . Preference is for the Mark Johnston trained Tellmeastory who did well on debut at Lingfield from a bad draw and ran to a similar level on fibresand next time . Nicely drawn and a bit less to prove than his main rivals .
½ pt win Tellmeastory @ 7/2
5.45 Dancing King pulled clear by a long looking 10 lengths at Wolver last time first try at this trip but has a stiff 6 pound penalty and switches to polytrack . Both Side show and Wallem have clear clams .
6.15 The fav Is the consistent Woodview who is proven over C&D but was only a well held 3 lengths 3rd off this mark last time, suggesting the handicapper Is in control . This is a not a deep race and I’m chancing Tick Tock who ran a couple of fair races for the top stable of William Haggas in the Golden Horn colours, but only looks modest at best . she’s joined an upwardly mobile stable and off a good mark and at a track she’s done well before , worth a dabble . Study The Stars has been going pretty well off this mark and proven on the surface and not out of this .
¼ pt ew Tick Tock @ 8/1
6.45 The odds on fav is the hat-trick seeking khatm after a clear win at Chelmsford City over further and a facile win at Southwell , but in a very weak heat . The 5 pound hit wont help and significantly ran poorly over C&D off a much lower mark just before his winning spree. The opposition are fully signed up members of the Professional Losers Club , but a number of these have quite good C&D form off higher marks and despite a disappointing effort last time, Basshiq was previously a close 3rd over C&D and hard to ignore at long odds.
¼ p tew Baashiq @ 25/1
7.45 The likeable Viola Park got back on the scoresheet last time but only in a Wolver claimer and hopes not high tonight under a stiff penalty . Tavrina is also heavily penalised for a win in a claimer but is less exposed and respected while there’s been money for the put of form but well handicapped Broughton’s Flame running for a new stable .Afro Blue has responded well to the drop in the ratings running well the last twice, most recently trying to make all and only chinned late on. He’s the likely leader and will need to be caught .
½ pt ew Afro Blue @ 10/1
