The issue regading your payments directly incrementing your account is still not 100% . It is working

but not immediately . If you find you don't have access to the Members' area within an hour

Registration problems sadly are still a bit hit and miss .

There were small losses for both the Premium Tips and lays and while of course profits are most preferable

In a month when  many days were raced on heavy ground, we didn't suffer greatly .

This month heralds the return of the flat season and The Cheltenham Festival, so if you haven't taken advantage of

the free week's trial,  this is an ideal time to do so . Just register and follow the prompts

I thank you for your loyal custom and hope you are enjoying watching the vast majority of the tips

running big races at big odds

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

Expecting a Gold run in the 3.25

Today’s multis

The Awesome Acca

£2 acca – pays just under £50

Joan of Arc 2.30 @ 4/5

Horoscope 3.35 @ 11/8

Saint Benedict 4.52 @ 11/8

Fostersisland 2.55 @ 11/8

The Terrific Trixie

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble

My Old gold 3.25 @ 9/2

Pretty Boy Floyd 2.00 @ 9/2

Teed Up 4.10 @ 6/1

Selected The Curragh – very soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

1.30 First 2yo race of the season and of course they’re all making their debuts but the even money fav is the well bred Silver Surfer , who cost £100,000 and bred for soft ground , but at the odds , easy just to watch .

NO Bet

2.00 It’s easier finding negatives than positives with practically all of these as few are potent on the ground , or trip or off their marks . Pretty Boy Floyd hit was in good form for the majority of last season and is proven on the ground and is a track specialist . He comes to hand early and despite returning to duties on a 2 pound higher mark , in the context of this race , looks manageable . Only concern is Wayne Lordan is in the saddle today and he’s not the jockey he was. Let’s hope it’s a steering job .

½ pt win Pretty Boy Floyd @ 9/2

2.30 Despite the big field the short priced fav in Joan of Arc looks hard to beat after a good debut run last season . Giuliana’s high rating is based on one run where she was obviously flattered , running 20 pounds above her usual rating .

¾ p win Joan of Arc @ 4/5

3.35 Horoscope ran well in both starts last season and despite giving the impression he’s enjoy a longer trip , he should be good enough for this . He’s closely matched with salvucci but the Aidan O’Brien horses always improve from their first run and also from 2 to 3 .

½ pt  win Horoscope @ 11/8

4.10 The Irish Lincolnshire and a typical massive field but not many catch the eye . It’s understandable that Gee rex is the fav , despite the testing mark , as this consistent type warmed up for this with  a good run over hurdles , but 3/1 is a pretty poor bet in a field this size . Teed Up was magnificent throughout last season  with 3 wins and 3 seconds in just 6 starts and many in pretty big fields. He ended with a cracking win in the Galway mud and is only 3 pounds higher for his efforts . Well drawn and regular rider Billy Lee in the saddle . Looks a really good ew play .

½ pt   ew Teed Up @ 6/1

Curragh placepot

Selected Carlisle – soft ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

2.55 The lightly raced Foster’sisland comes here on a hat-trick after two wide margin wins and the 2nd horse in his most recent win has won since. He’s 13 pounds higher but is still unexposed and looking way ahead of the game . He’s a C&d  winner and relishes soft ground .

¾ pt win Foster’sisland @ 11/8

3.25 A good quality and competitive Class 2 handicap but the verdict goes to the in form mare My Old Gold , who has a terrific record here and has dropped to a very good mark . Soft ground no issue and she’s mighty tough in the finish as she showed winning a Listed event here a few starts ago .

½ pt win My Old Gold @ 9/2

Carlisle placepot

16 bets

Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , stiff and galloping track

2.35 despite being consistent , Landofmiles is hard to win with and in a race where it’s hard  to fancy many , the consistent Robin of Sherwood gets the nod after a good run here last time .

¼ pt win Robin of Sherwood @ 9/4

4.45 Full marks to Cobra Commander for consistency and another good run is likely after a good 2nd behind wonderful veteran Midnight Mustang at the old timer’s favourite track of Leicester , but he’s not so smart here and off the same mark, no reason why the tip wont run his race and this could be his day .

¼ pt  ew  Cobra Commander @ 8/1

Chepstow placepot

16 bets

Selected Downpatrick – good to soft on this sharp, undulating track with a stiff finish .

3.17 The consistent Amor Verdadero will again run her race but is only 2/1 in this big field, not great odds as she’s only 1 from 18.

No Bet

4.22 Despite the big field few hit the mark and despite returning from a 4 months break and not having a great record running fresh , the consistent Rubiana runs this C&D well , has the ground in her favour and remains on a  workable mark .

¼ pt  ew Rubiana @ 8/1

4.52 A big field Hunter Chase but understandably the bookies make this a 2 horse war and clear preference for the consistent saint Benedict who comfortably brings the best form to the table , over the lightly raced and promising Cemister , whose bare form doesn’t match the tip’s .

½ pt win Saint Benedict @ 11/8

Downpatrick Placepot
