Jubilation in June

May proved to be a difficult month and we came out the wrong end , but only around a point a day

and we were desperately unlucky on numerous occasions with narrow defeats and long priced

runners narrowly missing the frame

I've made a terrific start to June

I thank you for your loyal custom and hope you are enjoying watching the vast majority of the tips

running big races at big odds

I have decided to keep stats for Premium tip multis, so you can then see the massive returns possible.

£20 is a fair stake to risk on the multi. I would recommend the following

A £1 yank ( £11 pound) , or if the tips are long odds, an ew yank

Extra £1 win doubles

And an extra £1.50 ew acca

I have recently switched to Bet365 as my principal bookmaker, and it's been a smart move with so many extra place

races, and as many of my tips are ew , it make sense to include these concessions as part of the stats . I will in future

point this out with the tip write up

I consider betting  on the horses my hobby and all hobbies cost money, but I have proved that you can enjoy all the

pleasures a hobby brings and also come out with a profit .

Sambuca to light up the track in the Lucky Last

Today’s Multi

3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Cogital 2.20 @ 8/1

Caid Du Berlais 6.35 @ 4/1

Sambuca Spirit 8.25 @ 5/2

Selected Goodwood – good to firm on this undulating, sharp and tricky track

1.00PREMIUM RACE

2.10 A tricky small field Class 2 to work out as they are closely matched at the ratings but Royal Scimitar looks a blatant non stayer at this longer trip .

No Bet

2.45 The most progressive Alpanista is clearly the one to beat at the ratings and she should get a good gallop to aim at with the likeable front running Makawee in the field. Katara was also progressive last year , but does have a chunk to find to beat the odds on fav.

No Bet

3.20 The odds on fav is the prolific Nelson Gay , who came into his last race with progressive all weather form and sluiced in on quick turf at Sandown by a long looking 6 lengths and only 6 pound higher , but this is a very different track and both Peerless and Warrior Brave have claims .

No Bet

3.50 This looks very hard with only Marsabit out of the equation .

Selected Chepstow – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track

1.15 Aureferous brings the best form to the table and it was achieved at this trip but on the all weather while Amy beach ran to a decent level on her debut on quick turf at Windsor and the longer trip looks a smart move . ??

No Bet

1.50 The ex-German Stormy Night recently made all at Wolver and will relish the softer ground so despite going up 5 pounds and tackling a longer trip , looks set for the double against modest opposition .

¼ pt win Stormy night @ 7/4

2.20 Recent winner Selsey Sizzler has  bit to prove up in trip and switching from tapeta so preference for the capable Cogital, who ran well over C&D on his comeback spin last season and has looked improved over hurdles this season and record in Class 6 is a win and a place from 2 starts .

½ pt win Cogital @ 8/1

2.55 The admirably consistent Coul Kat comes here after another big run at Epsom and with this C&d and ground in his favour looks hard to beat , but not for me at evens .

No Bet

3.30 quite a tricky event with so many switching from the all weather or going up in trip . greycious Lady ran a nice race when 3rd at Bath on quick ground and bred to appreciate cut .

¼ pt  ew  Greycious Lady @ 8/1

4.00 There was money for Major Valentine last time at Windsor off this much reduced mark and he made no mistake with an all the way win , beating a couple of in form types  and could make light out of the four pound penalty with the C&D and ground in his favour . recent easy Windsor winner rainbow Mirage has a bit to prove on the ground but still respected while all of Vape, Sarah’s verse and Tawaafoq have chances .

¼ pt win Major Valentine @ 11/4

4.30 Bluebell Time is the fav after a smart comeback spin at Bath and the return to softer ground and this track in her favour , but she is closely matched with the consistent David’s Beauty on C&d form from last year on this ground and the tip goes well fresh .

¼ pt  ew  Davids Beauty @ 11/1

Selected Musselburgh – good to firm on this flat and galloping track- speed track

2.00 A few of the unraced juveniles in this are with good stables and didn’t come cheap but experience counts for plenty in 2yo races and Mytilda ran a belter last time and the winner went close next time carrying a penalty and gets the vote .

½ pt win Mytilda @ 9/4

2.30 The short priced fav is decent hurdler Swaffam bulbeck, who recently won off a lofty mark of 129, with ease, and that equates to 90 on the flat and here he is on a mark of just 49 !, but when last seen on the flat was a well beaten 3rd off a mark of 50 ! so chances are he’s just a good hurdler and despite this looking there for the taking , not for me .

NO bet

3.05 This looks fiercely wide open and all of eagles Rock , Foreseeable Future Ayr Poet and tricorn have clear claims but the nod goes to the latter , on a good mark and well backed last time, Caballeo struggles at this trip and has the worst of the draw.

¼ pt   ew Tricorn @ 6/1

3.35 PREMIUM RACE

Selected Punchestown – good to soft on this undulating and galloping track

4.15 The incredible Willie Mullins has been calling the shots here just as much as he did at Cheltenham and he runs three but two of them in asterion forlonge , who has been keeping the very best of company of late and Antey both go handicapping for the first time and there are merits for picking either , but at the odds , prefer the latter .

¼ pt  ew Antey @ 10/1

4.50 not many of these mares make appeal at the trip and drying ground . Demi Plie ran a stormer in a hot race last time and will be suited to today’s better ground and looks a nice ew play .

¼ pt  ew Demi Plie @ 10/1

5.25 We are running out of superlatives for the incredible Honeysuckle , now a perfect 11 from 11 under rules and won the recent Champion Hurdle with ease . This looks a formality .

¾ pt win Honeysuckle @ 8/13

6.3 5 A good quality Hunter Chase and the home team are well represented by the useful sorts of Billaway , It Came To Pass, Solomn Grundy and Stalker Wallace but there are two useful English raiders in Bob and Co and caid Du Bresnil and the latter is 2 from 2 over C&d on this kind of ground and comes here in top form .

½ pt win Caid Du Bresnil @ 4/1

7.05 A very open good quality novice hurdle and I’m with one which  disappointed last time but to forgive is divine. Grand bornard was looking every inch another progressive youngster for the irrepressible partnership of Willie Mullins and the Ricci family , but forgot to turn up last time when I gave him a big chance in a better race than this and has to be a play at long odds.

¼ pt  ew Grand Bornard @ 14/1

Selected Cheltenham – good ground on this undulating, galloping and stiff track

6.45 PREMIUM RACE

7.45 The 4 mile trip is the unknown for practically all the field and a strong stayer is of course what we’re looking for but the once useful Keltus got back on the scoresheet last time and was challenging when the long odds on fav lost his jockey . He runs this track well and does shape like a stayer . Nice ew play .

¼ pt  ew Keltus @ 12/1

8.15 The front running Marcle ridge runs this track well and has the form to stay there . The useful and prolific Risk A Fine returns after almost 2 years off so that’s  big worry while the once useful Barney Dwan is not out of this as he runs the track well .

¼ pt win Marcle Bridge @ 3/1

Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta. The track is stiff and galloping

5.15 Plenty of money for Polar Cloud today , who’s yet to win and frankly has never looked like even getting close and for Forus, who also has a job getting his nose in front . Vertice has decent C&d form as does longshot Violette Szabo . Despoina didn’t show much on her comeback spin but it was her first run for a while and last season was a good 2nd over C&D off a slightly higher mark . hard to ignore at the odds.

¼ pt  ew despoina @ 25/1

5.50 This looks a fiercely competitive maiden with a clutch of big southern stables having possibilities . recent winner Camelot Tales is not out of this despite shouldering a penalty and chances can be given to all of John Leeper, who is the short priced fav but , makes no appeal at the odds, Firs Light, King francism Moktassab and Mushirif and as they are all so lightly raced , hard to know who will take this .

No Bet

6.20 Imperial Command goes for the track hat-trick after a 2 months break but goes up in trip and is now on a testing mark . Chichester is a similar type as he sluiced in here last time after a long break and first start for Keith Dalglish but the longer trip is a worry more than the 9 pound hit . I like the look of a few longshots here in Cockalorum , who’s very consistent , comes to hand early and is proven over C&D off higher marks and Mr carpenter who won first time out last season and held his form well and worth trying on this surface .

¼ pt  ew each Cockalorum @ 18/1  Mr Carpenter @ 20/1 – why not  , a small rev fc

6.50 Another tricky big field maiden full of famous colours and good stable racing lightly raced types and newcomers . A lovely race to watch .

No Bet

7.55 Lady Celia hardly put a hoof wrong last season and this C&d winner remains on a workable mark and this consistent and determined sort certainly worth a try in what looks a winnable heat.

¼ pt  ew  Lady Celia @ 13/2

8.25 Sambuca Spirit comes here on the back of two vey big runs over C&d, the latest when trying to make all and was only just worn down late on by a big improver . Compensation certainly awaits in a very winnable finale .

½ pt win Sambuca Spirit @ 5/2
