Selected Bath – good to firm on this sharp but stiff track . Plenty of rain is forecast
2.11 Track specialist Michaels Choice goes well fresh, remains on a fair mark and likes to get his toe In . The admirable Bay watch is on a very stiff mark and would prefer a longer trip in his first run for a rookie trainer and the rest are hard to fancy.
¼ pt win Michael’s Choice @ 11/4
Selected Beveley – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track. Plenty of rain is forecast .
2.21 Coleys’ Koko was well backed to land a modest heat at Musselburgh and didn’t do well in his previous visit here . He has a stiff penalty and the draw could be kinder and with softer ground a possibility , happy to look elsewhere. The lightly raced Secret Eagle landed his maiden on soft ground at Catterick and was 3rd at the same track last time off this mark but does shape like a stiffer track would suit and despite a modest draw, appeals in a winnable heat .
¼ pt ew Secret Eagle @ 8/1
2.56 It’s been some time since Kodimoor last rang the Victory Bell but ran very well last time at Ayr and the 2nd horse has won since . Nicely drawn , likes the track and soft ground a positive .The in form Highlight reel has run below par in both visits here .
¼ pt ew Kodimoor @ 6/1
4.06 Track specialist Kylie rules ran much better last time off this muc reduced mark and after a wind op but form on softer ground is mixed and preference is for another track specialist in Bit of A Quirke, who drops in trip but is a bold front runner who wont be stopping . Nice longshot .
¼ pt ew Bit of a Quirke @ 14/1
5.15 Quite an open finale but a chance can be given to Crown Princess , who’s very consistent and ran well on her comeback spin which was over C&D when 2nd to a big improver and if the ground softens , so much the better .
¼ pt ew Crown Princess @ 6/1
Selected Kempton – good ground on this flat and sharp track . Likely to miss the rain so ground should stay the same
2.25 Will Carver ran a belter last time but it was a tactical affair and quicker ground will test . Belle Jour did well on his hurdles debut and was staying on really well , which you would expect from a former pointer and could surprise in a winnable heat .
¼ pt win Belle Jour @ 8/1
3.00 PREMIUM RACE
3.35 PREMIUM RACE
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Windsor – good to soft on this flat and galloping track. More rain is forecast so could well soften even more
1.21 The once very useful Stake Acclaim has plummeted in the weights and started this season off a mark of 99 and after some tame efforts is now on 72 ! He showed a lot more last time and this is his best C&D and ground . Should be winning this well.
½ pt win Stake Acclaim @ 4/1
2.31 PREMIUM RACE
4.51 Mabre has struggled a bit at Wolver but had been running well and down to a good mark . Soft ground no issue .
¼ pt ew Mabre @ 11/1
Selected The Curragh – good to soft on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
2.35 The Melbourne Cup hero , the admirably consistent Twilight Payment looks to be taking In a pipe opener dropping significantly In trip and this now looks at the mercy of the revitalised Broome who put a bad season behind him with two smart wins this season at this trip and ground , but not for me at 1/2 .
3.10 The very excellent Champers Elysses is rated worthily a very lofty 115 and as she goes well fresh and likes the C&D and ground , should be far too classy for these.
¾ pt win Champers Elysses @ 11/8
3.45 Messidor landed a double impressively at Dundalk and the good stable then aimed her in Listed and Group 3 company , which was beyond her,but in much calmer waters today .
¼ pt win Messidor @ 5/1
5.25 Just the 30 in this low grade handicap and with pace across the track, the draw shouldn’t be important . Teddy Boy is rarely far away and another good run likely .
¼ pt ew Teddy Boy @ 12/1
2.05 The short priced fav is the hard to win with papa Tango Charly and a bit to prove up in trip 2nd race back after a long absence . Name of Fame changed hands for £60,000 after coming 2nd in a big field point and worth a dabble now with the Skelton stable .
¼ pt win Name Of Fame @ 11/2
2.40 Subway Surf has had plenty of chances while Nicky Henderson’s Brilliant Present bumper win came on the all weather and not a high standard . Winning bumper Marshmallow was aimed at a Listed bumper which was a little too hot for her but bumper form gives her claims in a winnable heat.
1/ 4 pt ew Marshmallow @ 15/2
3.15 Hazzaar is better on softer ground and a longer trip while Presentandcounting tends to fine at least one too good. Touchthesoul is on a fair mark and better expected now trying fences .
¼ pt ew Touchthesoul @ 12/1
3.50 Shantou Sunset struggled at Exeter last time on deep ground but previously was a good 2nd at Donny on this kind of ground and could exploit a winnable heat .
¼ pt ew Shantou Sunset @11/1
5.00 Go Steady will run his race but is looing high in the weights while the consistent Keep moving is looking hard to win with . Somekindofstar has just been that since tackling fences and present mark well manageable based on his recent good 2nd .
¼ pt win Somekindofstar @ 10/3
6.00 Hotter Than Hell is the worthy fav but does find it tough getting her nose in front so prefer a play on the well handicapped Methag who will like the C&D and any easing of the ground .
¼ pt ew Methag @ 9/1
