Lord Condi 1.20 @ 4/1
Poet’s Reflection 4.40 @ 16/1
Miss Doubtful 8.10 @ 4/1
Selected Newton Abbot – good ground on this flat and sharp track
1.00The odds on fav is the useful hurdler Southfield Harvest , but has been kept to soft ground of late and this extended trip is not sure to suit . Butterwick Brook needs much softer ground while Fox Pro is a possibility if he stays . Sunset Showdown brings very decent chase form to the table and this longer trip looks a smart move .
¼ pt ew Sunset Showdown @ 7/1
1.30 This looks a match between the two penalised runners in the race , but Dragon Bones showed his paces last time in a deep novice event on good ground at Worcester and is preferred to Padstow Harbour, who usually has long breaks between his races and this could come too soon .
½ pt win Dragon Bones @ 5/4
2.00 Another weak novice event and looks at the mercy of Tulin , who is 2 from 2 and despite a double penalty , will be hard to beat .
½ pt win Tulin @ 4/5
2.30 PREMIUM RACE
3.05 PREMIUM RACE
3.35 The short priced fav is youngster Heros Du Seuill , who disappointed last time and plenty to prove on quick turf . Amarillo Sky ran well for a long way in a hot Aintree handicap at the recent Festival and this front runner could take some reeling In. The consistent Chez Hans will relish the ground but looks a bit high in the weights .
¼ pt win Amarillo sky @ 3/1
4.07 PREMIUM RACE
4.40 An open finale with a good half dozen ticking plenty of important boxes but preference for recent Taunton winner Poet’s Reflection who couldn’t back that up sat Chepstow, but that stiff track wouldn’t have suited . Only a pound higher for her win and looks a very lively longshot .
½ pt ew Poet’s Reflection @ 16/1
Newton Abbot placepot
Selected Kelso – good ground on this undulating and quite sharp track with a long galloping straight .
1.20 There was plenty of money for More Music , a recent intake to the Neil Alexander stable at the Voided Hexham race and despite his form being pretty dire, obviously has been showing up well at home . The consistent Lord Condi ran well from the front over fences last time and the switch to hurdles in no issue . He has a cracking race make up for a front runner with most of these late players and could be hard to catch . The In form Lissen to The Lady is not out of this .
½ pt win Lord Condi @ 4/1
1.55 This has a winnable look to it and looks good for Do Not disturb , despite a nudge up the weighs but likes the track and trip and ground no issue .
½ pt win Do Not Disturb @ 2/1
2.55 Manse Ryder ran an absolute belter in the Lincolnshire National last time and obviously marathon trips suit well , as does good ground . He’s up 5 pounds and has most to fear from the unexposed Chanting Hill, but this one has a bit to prove at the trip and a climbing mark.
¼ pt win Manse Flyer @ 5/2
3.25 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Chester – good to soft on this flat and sharp track . Low numbers in the draw have a distinct advantage and solitary front runners are hard to peg back .
1.45 Quite a puzzle as 4 of the 5 were winners last time and all are unexposed . Devious Angel looked good last time but it was on fibresand while Navello didn’t beat much at Brighton when coming off the pace while Armor only had to be pushed out to win at Donny on debut while Beauzon looked good making all at Ripon . Despite the small field, the wide draw is a disadvantage for Armor so I’m with Beauzon to make all.
½ pt win Beauzon @ 5/1
2.15 The consistent Dubai Fountain brings the best form to the table and this longer trip should suit but is up against a couple of unexposed types likely to make better 3yos . Zeyaadah is 3 from 3 but the bare form needs improving upon while Darlectable You has only run to an Ok level so far, despite being related to some very smart sorts , all rated at least a most lofty 117 ! Ireland has 3 runners the pick of which could be the lightly raced Nicest , worth a dabble at the odds.
¼ pt win Nicest @ 8/1
2.45 It’s essential in sprints here to get a handy sit from a low draw and Cuban Breeze being the likely pacesetter from an OK draw Is worth dabble. Not disgraced on her comeback spin off this mark but disappointed next time but wont be the first horse to not take to Ripon . Showalong looks a solid fav and from an OK draw and at home on the ground has clear claims , but the tip is crucially a C&D winner .
¼ pt ew Cuban Breeze @ 10/1
3.15 Wirko looked very good landing a deep Listed race at Epsom and will be hard to beat today . Law of The sea is the clear danger winning his last two in the style of a progressive colt .
½ pt win Wirko @ 6/4
3.45 The well drawn and useful Uncle Jumbo is the likely winner but 6/4 not a good bet and I’m happy to watch .
4.45 The bookies look to have got this finale right concentrating on two in form track winners in the veteran Sir Maximilian and the reliable National League, who ran well for a long way in a red hot Newbury handicap last time and could go all the way .
¼ pt win National League @ 4/1
Selected Fontwell – good ground on this sharp track
5.20 Big N Better sprung a 100/1 shock last time here and there looked to be no fluke about it . Not badly weighted in this handicap where quantity seriously outweighs quality and longer trip looks fine.
¼ pt win Big N Better @ 7/1
5.50 Schnabel is 2 from 2 over this tricky C&d and has his ideal ground . He won easily last time and the 5 pound rise unlikely to stop him against modest opposition .
½ pt win Scnabel @ 6/4
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
6.10 Not a deep event and the consistent Sense of Romance is proven at the trip and track off around this mark . She’s been unlucky in the draw again but still preferred . Prospect is very hard to win with and took a severe step backwards last time and this longer trip unlikely to help .
½ pt win Sense Of Romance @ 9/4
6.40 A chance can be given to many but most of these like to be front rank so a strong pace looks likely which will help the late playing Espresso Freddo , who has the plot draw and runs this track well .
¼ pt ew Espresso Freddo @ 8/1
7.10 It was nice seeing the once useful Zhui Feng getting back in the winners’ Circle for his new stable but this is likely to be fought out between a trio of useful sorts in Sky Commander, Tiger Crusade and Ransom . The latter is 2 from 2 and on a god mark for his handicap debut whule Tiger Crusade won first time out last year and held his form well off this mark , including over C&D . The nod goes to Sky Commander , who may well have turned the corner with his wellbeing as he’s had long gaps between his races but won well 2nd race back and could go on to be quite decent . He’s on a mark of 95 tonight which looks about right , for now .
¼ pt win Sky Commander @ 4/1
7.40 The consistent Brute Force is proven round here and is on a workable mark and shapes very much as this longer trip will do the trick .
¼ pt win Brute Force @ 4/1
8.10 The short priced fav is the in form Aramis Grey, but the drop in trip wont help. Vivency could well also struggle down in trip while the Nosey Parker comes here on the back of two very tame efforts. Miss thoughtful went close at Chelmsford City last time off this mark when trying to lead all the way and is effective over C&D . Very decent chance of making every post a winning post.
½ pt win Miss Thoughtful @ 5/1
