Selected Yarmouth – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.00The fav Electric Love makes little appeal down in trip while the reliable Passional could also find the ground a bit lively . Bellevarde has become more competitive of late with the drop in the ratings and this prominent racer has a fine chance of an overdue return to the Winner’s Circle . The consistent Lucky Ava is proven on turf and is the fc pick .
¼ pt win Bellevarde . ¼ pt rev fc Bellevarde – Lucky Ava
1.30The newcomers don’t promise to be anything special and this looks a match between the consistent pair of Pure Charmer and Silken Petals, and I find them hard to split so at the odds the former is the bet .
¼ pt win Pure Charmer @ 10/3
2.00 A most winnable heat and the double looks very much on for yet another Sir Mark Prescott 3yo middle distance runner in Alerts Roja, up 6 pounds but won easily and the 2nd horse was an easy winner yesterday and longer trip looks a smart move .
½ pt win Alerta Roja @ 10/11
2.45 A tricky sprint but Autumn Flight continues to hold his form well and trip , ground and mark all fine .
¼ pt win Autumn Flight @ 7/2
3.10 A chance for glory for a stack of very low grade types , who rarely taste success. La Roca Del Fuego won at Chelmsford City last time and has to have a chance switching to fast turf but preference if for Kelinda Dice, who outran her long odds last time with a good 3rd in a handicap over C&D on quick ground .Good finisher .
¼ pt ew Kelinda Dice @ 9/1
3.45 A similar race and the joint favs are the in form pair if Eastern Star , who could find this trip plenty sharp on a speed track and Tavrina , who should handle conditions fine but preference for the late playing Thaki who did well in a far better race over C&D recently and likes the ground .
¼ pt ew Thaki @ 8/1
4.20 The short priced fav is imperial Yellow , a smart winner last time on quick ground and the 4 pound hit could have been far worse and the longer trip will suit but I’m with a longshot in the shape of ex- French House Of Kings after a good effort when 4th off this mark at Leicester , so has to prove it on a speed track , but at the odds certainly worth trying .
¼ pt ew House Of kings @ 16/1
4.53 A big field for this low grade handicap for apprentices so not a rae for your last fiver . A good pace is certain as the hat-trick seeking The King’s Steed will again try to burn them off from the front but quicker ground and a stiff penalty makes this unlikely . Roca Magica is a hold up type who runs this C&d well on fast ground but can lose her race at the start, but appeals as a nice ew play .
¼ pt ew Roca Magica @ 9/1
Selected Donny – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.40 This will take little winning and the most likely winner is the in form Marsabit , but not for me at evens .
2.15 PREMIUM RACE
2.50 Sir Lelo didn’t come cheaply and ran very well over C&d last time when 3rd at the 2nd horse was a good winner yesterday . Very nice ew play as the favs only have form in the mud .
½ pt ew Sir Lelo @ 7/1
3.25 PREMIUM RACE
4.00 Free Wind was mightily impressive winning by a long old way at Goodwood, but was handed a soft lead so could have been flattered and carries the dreaded penalty , but we’ll know more of course after this event . I prefer Lady Rockstar , a fine 2nd at Haydock on quick ground and bred for the longer trip .
½ pt ew Lady Rockstar @ 9/2
5.10 The fav is the consistent but luckless Cometh The Man but with the early pace on the far side , could be drawn in the wrong place. There was little between Unashamed and Lockdown Lass in a big field Thirsk sprint on fast ground and the nod goes to the former in his first try in a 0-60 .
¼ pt win Unashamed @ 5/1 ¼ pt rev fc Unashamed – Lockdown Lass
50p ew Trixie & 50p ew treble
Saisons D’or 5.40 @ 13/2
Caspian Prince 6.45 @ 10/1
Fairmac 8.45 @ 4/1
Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track.
5.15 Motawaafeq was a good winner over C&d last time and has no penalty but quicker ground tonight . The front running Mark of Respect wont be far away but I’m with an unexposed one who runs in famous colours and for a good stable in Sky Bright , who ran a good race at Windsor when coming off the pace to be beaten just a few lengths and last time front running tactics were employed over further, which didn’t work out . She’s down in the ratings and this C&D should suit and Oisin’s in the saddle.
¼ pt ew Sky Bright @ 10/1
6.20 After a good debut here when 4th , Riknnah has won twice on the all weather, the latest from a shocking draw . She’s leniently treated for her first try in a handicap and the hat-trick is certainly on .
¾ pt win Riknaah @ 7/4
6.50 The short priced fav is Northern raider Yorkshire Lady who handles firm ground well enough and despite a tough looking mark , this longer trip may bring about the necessary improvement .Amy Beach wasn’t far away in a Salisbury steadily run handicap and this C&d will suit well and gets the nod on a workable mark.
¼ pt win Amy Beach @ 4/1
8.35 Heading the market are recent facile polytrack winner Passion And glory , but the switch to quick turf on a testing mark makes it tough while the other joint fav in Mashhoor has a bit to prove up in trip. Good Birthday is certainly back to his best and was a cosy winner last time. He’s won off higher marks in the past and a nice ew alternative .
¼ pt ew Good Birthday @ 8/1
Selected Newcastle – all weather – tapeta – The track is stiff and galloping
5.40 After a spell in the doldrums, probably due to too high a mark , the usually reliable Saisons D’Or is back to his old self with 2 wins and 2 good places in his last 5 . He’s effective here and just about gets away with this trip over this stiff C&D . He’s on a workable mark and this front runner will give us another great run for our money in a winnable heat .
½ pt ew Saisons D’Or @ 13/2
6.10 The front running Astrozone runs this C&d well and despite being a few pounds high in the ratings could take a bit of catching . He returns from a lengthy break but runs well fresh .
¼ pt win Astrozone @ 9/2
6.45 An absolute crackerjack of the valuable Gosforth Cup and a true run race is assured with a glut of front runners. Ornate is the fav to lead and has a pretty good record here so could hang on in there for quite a way and was 3rd in this last year behind one of my all time favourites in Caspian Prince and of late I’ve been backing him at the wrong time and ran a cracker last time , from the front at Beverley on quick ground winning a Class 3 with ease running to a level of 109 , close to his very best and he’s now a 12yo ! He won this last year coming off the pace and is only 2 pounds higher but the 7 pound claimer who rode him so well last time keeps the ride , so well in at the weights. He’s drawn in close proximity to Ornate and can stay on the best .
¾ pt ew Caspian Prince @ 10/1
7.20 A valuable Group 3 for fillies and the fav id Zeyaadah , who brings the best form to the table but is unproven at the trip or the ground . Lilac Road is in top form and running to a good level at this trip . She too is new to the surface but the top stable does very well here .
½ pt win Lilac Road @ 10/3

The Fran Norton trixie
Sir Maximillian 6.30 @ 2/1
Basilicata 7.05 @ 4/1
Fairmac 8.45 @ 4/1
Selected Chester – good ground on this flat and sharp track where front runners do well as do low numbers in the draw.
5.55 A number of these can front run so for once it could be prudent to be with a hold up type. Melody Of Life is rarely far away and is proven over C&D and preferred to super Over , who has done well In all 3 of his races, but mark looks a little high .
½ pt win Melody Of Life @ 7/4
6.30 Some highly rated types go in this claimer, but the only one running to its mark is the evergreen Sir Maximillian ,still rated a very decent 83 and was only narrowly beaten here last time . He goes up to a trip which stretches his stamina and has the worst of the draw but is a hold up type with top track jockey Fran Norton aboard and my just get away with it .
¼ pt win Sir Maximillian @ 2/1
7.05 The hat-trick seeking Bollin Margaret is weighted out of this and this looks a match between s couple of reliable ones in Batista and Babindi , but as the former went close over C&D recently , has the best of the draw and with Fran Norton up top , gets the vote .
½ pt win Basilicata @ 4/1
8.10 All of the early pacers are drawn wide which makes it most difficult for any of the capable types of Parys Mountain , King Of Tonga and Gabrial The tiger to lift the prize . Shawaamekh hasn’t been disgraced at all of late and was only beaten a length over C&D in higher grade , doing very well from the worst of the draw. Much better drawn tonight and David Nolan knows him very well and this late player looks good to pick up the pieces .
¾ pt win Shawaamekh @ 5/2
8.45 All of these come here in good form but the luckless Fairmac can register an overdue and deserved win . He front runs , and so do one or two others, but even drawn widest in this small field, you can count on Fran Norton to set the pace . He was only beaten a short head last time by a progressive one at this trip at Redcar and generously stays on the same mark . Great chance of making all .
½ pt win Fairmac @ 4/1
