Euro Implosion 4.20 @ 11/2
The Bull McCabe 5.30 @ 7/2
Ever So Much 6.30 @ 8/1
Selected Brighton – good ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
1.00Very hard to fancy many here as recent C&D winner Lady Monica has the worst of the draw and is better on soft ground while the back to form Inner Circle hasn’t shone here before . Iva Reflection has dropped to a good mark and drops into a 0-60 for the first time . The small stable has made a 550 mile round trip and Hollie Doyle is booked . Worth a dabble .
¼ pt win Iva Reflection @ 9/1
1.30 The fav is the Godolphin horse Chief Of staff , whose form is only OK and it will need the gelding op to make some difference .Touchwood is hard to win with and the drop in trip can’t help so trying Miquelon , who has the form in the book to trouble these and can be forgiven a flop last time at Hamilton down in trip on quick ground.
¼ pt win Miquelon @ 13/2
2.00 The lightly raced Almadrina is all the rage after her facile win over C&d but has a stiff penalty and wont have soft ground today . There are a few here with chances including Dr Jekyll , just a pound higher for a tidy win at Yarmouth at this trip and course winner Kartevelian , who has held her form well and shapes as this longer trip will suit and gets the nod .
¼ pt ew Kartevilian @ 9/1
2.30 Very few with serious claims in this and hard to get excited about the prospects of the fav Beau Geste , far better on tapeta. Veteran The warrior has run Ok here of late and this looks easier and despite the worst of the draw, worth a dabble in a weak affair .
¼ pt ew The warrior @ 12/1
3.35 Covert Mission was heavily backed last time in his first start for John Ferguson and only found one too good . This will take little winning and really only has C&D winner Run Forest Run to worry about , who ran OK off this mark last time but still looks too high in the ratings .
¼ pt win Covert Mission @ 2/1
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Hamilton – good ground on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
2.45 The Godolphin horse Laban is all the rage after a bloodless win in the Brighton mud , but very different conditions today . Havana Party stepped up on previous with a cosy win over C&D last time coming well off the pace. Could be up to the 5 pound hit and enough early pace to give him a good pull into the contest .
¼ pt win Havana Party @ 10/3
3.50 PREMIUM RACE
4.20 This has a very winnable look to it with this stiff C&d far from certain to suit the Mark Johnston pair of Roseabad and Annadale who’s now on a stiff mark . After a spell In the doldrums Euro Implosion comes here on a hat-trick , his latest an all the way win here and we can expect another prominent ride . The 4 pound hit could have been worse considering he’s won off higher marks in the past . Like his chance at very nice odds .
½ pt win Euro Implosion @ 6/1
4.50 A very open sprint but plenty of these are hard to win with . Royal Advice knows where the winning line is and did little wrong over C&d recently when a close 3rd in a decent contest . Looks overpriced for his chance .
½ pt win Royal Advice @ 8/1
5.30 The short priced fav is the bang in form Stronsay but on a stiff enough mark dropping in trip . A good pace is on the cards with a few front runners but one of them , Alsvinder is of some interest . he hasn’t won in a while but has never been rated so low and ran very well here for a long way , just weakening late on over a longer trip. He’s 2 from 3 over C&d and a nice longshot .
¼ pt ew Alsvinder @ 10/1
Selected Stratford – good ground on this flat and sharp track
5.30 A big ask for Rhythm is A dancer returning from a lengthy break and trying fences first time . The very much back to form Ballymoy was chinned last time by the strong staying Premier D’Otrice last time but on better weight terms and a shorter trip should get revenge , but the first time cheekpieces a negative for the top stable, The Bull McCabe is 2 from 2 at this specialist track and this strong front runner did well in his chase debut just getting run down late on by a couple of decent types. He should have the lead to himself and could take some catching at his favourite track .
¾ pt win The Bull McCabe @ 7/2
6.00 PREMIUM RACE
6.30 This has a winnable look to it with the in form Drumlee Watar on a stiff mark, dropping in trip and prefers softer ground while Chives didn’t beat a great deal last time and has stamina to prove as well as overcoming the stiff penalty . Veteran Ever So Much comes here in top form with a win at the stiff Hexham but previously ran a belter at Cartmel at this trip and ground behind a couple of very reliable yardsticks . 5 pounds higher but could exploit chinks in more fancied rivals’ armour .
½ pt ew Ever So Much @ 8/1
Selected Chepstow0 good to firm on this undulating ,galloping and quite stiff track
5.50 Not a deep opener and the fav , Chica Bella has a bit to prove up in trip on this stiff track. Wilfy ran plenty of good races last season and deserved more than just the one win . He’s back down to that winning mark and will have come on for his recent pipe opener . Not much to beat .
¼ pt win Wilfy @ 4/1
6.50 Recent course winner Our Man in Havana has a stiff task up in the ratings and up in trip and the low draw could also be troublesome . Fard is rarely far away and split a couple of reliable yardsticks at Windsor a few starts back off around this mark when trying to make all. There’s not a great deal of early pace in this and from a good draw and with Oisin Murphy riding looks a lively longshot .
¼ pt ew Fard @ 12/1
7.50 PREMIUM RACE
8.20 The odds on fav is the Sir Mark Prescott , yet another unexposed 3yo now tackling a more suitable trip off what could be a workable mark and Polar Ice is very well bred, but in fairness has done little of note in 3 tries on the all weather . In an uncompetitive heat the consistent Beat The Storm was unlucky to lose his first win in the Stewards Room and is now 3 pounds up for not even winning , but worth a dabble at very reasonable odds with trip and ground in his favour .
¼ pt win Beat The Storm @ 11/2
