50p ew Trixie & 50p ew treble
Mr Trevor 1.30 @ 13/2
I’m Watching You 3.40 @ 13/2
Chiavari 4.40 @ 7/1
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Lomu 3.10 @ 4/1
Wasdell Dunkirk 7.30 @ 4/1
Frankie Baby 9.00 @ 2/1
Selected Hamilton – good to firm on this undulating , galloping and stiff track
1.30 The short priced fav is the in form late player Tanasoq who wont be far away but preference is for the youngster Mr Trevor , desperately unlucky at Carlisle on quick ground when repeatably unable to find a clear run and still finished a close 3rd behind the prolific Gunnerside , with Debawtry just behind after having holding every chance . This one is likely to share the donkey work with Rose Bandit, who I was very keen on at Beverley just a few days ago, but the soft ground scuppered her chance and in a deeper race would do very well to overcome a testing mark and hasn’t had much time to recover . She’ll be front rank early on but the tip looks a very nice ew play .
½ pt ew Mr Trevor @ 13/2
2.00 The disappointing of late Home Before Dusk is the only one who can be safely left out but the excellent course form of the in form Regal Mirage gives him the nod .
¼ pt win Regal Mirage @ 5/1
2.30 The fav is the youngster Frog and Toad after a good 2nd in a Donny handicap, but this is a very different type of track , is badly drawn and first time tongue tie not a positive for the stable . It’s hard to make a strong case for many but Clotherholme has form on the ground ,trip and this type of track off around this mark and from a good draw looks a nice ew play .
¼ pt ew Clotherholme @ 12/1
3.00 The odds on fav is Gainsbourg who clearly brings the best form to the table but only run on fast ground was a disaster . Star Shakeera is improving with experience and looks a nice ew play in what looks on paper an uncompetitive heat .
¼ pt ew Star Shakeera @ 7/1
3.30 PREMIUM RACE
Selected Leicester – good to firm on this stiff and galloping track
2.53 The front running Diavolo put in a much improved effort in just his 2nd ever start running to a good level at Nottingham and the top stable does very well here . His chief rivals in Marching Army, Tall Order and Jasmine Joy have only ever raced on easy ground .
½ pt win Diavolo @ 2/1
3.23 Looks a match between Forza Orta and Mahrajaan who bring a similar level of form into the race but the tip is crucially proven on quick ground .
¼ pt win Forza Orta @ 13/8
3.53 A good pace is on the cards with a trio of front runners which will help the fav The Attorney , a hold up type who went close over C&D last time off this mark on quick ground, and this isn’t deep . Dajraan was very well backed when upped to this trip at Redcar last time and came home by a long looking 8 lengths, but does have a massive 12 pound penalty and is upped two levels into Class 4 .
¼ pt win The Attorney @ 9/4
4.23 PREMIUM RACE
4.55 It was nice Villanelle nabbing a deserved win after many big runs In defeat , opening her account at the 16th time of asking, the win came over C&D on quick ground . She has a stiff 4 pound penalty , but this isn’t deep , and long time maidens often improve once they’ve got their noses in front .
¼ pt win Villanelle @ 9/4
Selected Chepstow – good ground on this undulating , galloping and quite stiff track
1.45 PREMIUM RACE
2.10 PREMIUM RACE
2.40 The fav is the unconvincing Doctor Nuno while form horse Porterinthejungle has a penalty for a soft ground win. Bbob Alula is hard to catch right but is 1 from 1 over C&d, the win coming off a massive 11 pound higher mark than today . His form is in and out but hard to ignore at long odds.
¼ pt ew Bbob Alula @ 16/1
3.10 The pair at the bottom of the handicap both come here in terrific form , the front running Ooh Is it going for the hat-trick while the late playing reformed character Under Curfew goes for 4 on the bounce , but both are up a stiff 5 pounds, and in grade and the back to form veteran Just Glamorous wont be giving Ooh Is It an easy time up front despite the veteran being 6 pounds higher for a deserved win last time . All of this presents Lomu with a first class chance and is likely to be front rank and could well stay the strongest .
½ pt win Lomu @ 4/1
3.40 Some Nightmare was a smart winner over C&D last time but with a stiff 6 pound hit I’m with I’m Watching You, placed in his last two runs , both over C&D , eased a bit in the ratings and looks a solid ew play .
½ pt ew I’m watching You @ 13/2
4.10 Only 3 go but it’s tricky but the longer trip is unlikely to help Balearic . The other two are closely matched so the consistent Silvestris has to be the play at the odds.
¼ pt win Silvestris @ 10/3
4.40 After looking like he’d never win again , Tundra suddenly comes here on a hat-trick but is now on a stiff mark and had a long rear view of the consistent front running Chiavari over C&D recently and is 5 pounds worse off with the tip . This is not deep and a deserved win can drop her way .
½ pt ew Chiavari @ 7/1
Selected Worcester – good ground on this flat and galloping track
5.50 Dino Velvet did very well in his chase debut which would have instilled a lot of confidence being his first win for some time and could well double up with the 7 pound penalty . I prefer the consistent El Borracho, who’s done well since chasing and this C&D winner backed up that win with a good run at Stratford, both times coming off the pace and with recent C&d winner Elios D’Or having a massive 9 pound penalty and likely to dispute with Dino Velvet , could set things up nicely .
½ pt win El Borracho @ 11/4
6.20 The prolific Oscar Rose is a terrific mare and can never be ruled out despite her stiff mark and returning from a break. Your Band brings the best recent form at this trip and ground but I’m with a longshot in Beach Break, who is 1 from 1 at this trip , the win coming off just a 2 pound lower mark and he’s a fresher horse than most .
¼ pt ew Beach Break @ 14/1
6.55 The odds on fav is former decent flat stayer Seinesational , but he’s making a right meal of breaking his duck and the drop in trip not in his favour . London Eye is an in form flat stayer with a good attitude and if hurdling competently enough , could cause a mini shock .
¼ pt win London Eye @ 4/1
7.30 The front running Cousin Oscar looks vulnerable down in trip on drying ground but at least will ensure a good gallop which will suit the strong staying Wasdell Dundalk, a close 3rd over C&D last time . The in form Ronde De Nuit carries the greatest threat .
½ pt win Wasdell Dundalk @ 4/1
8.00 The hat-trick seeking Drumlee Watar would prefer slightly easier ground and has a double penalty , so not an easy task but is clearly thriving . Blue Sans has stamina to prove while Just A Whim certainly needs softer ground .
½ pt win Drumlee Watar @ 5/2
8.30 Despite the big field few have high hopes and it offers a good opportunity for the bang in form Kilchreest Moon , never out of the first 2 in his last 4 races and has trip . ground , mark in his favour .
½ pt win Kilchreest Moon @ 3/1
9.00 Another race where quantity seriously outweighs quality and a great opportunity for the front running Frankie Baby to nail a deserved win after going close over C&D last time .
¾ pt win Frankie Baby @ 2/1
Selected Epsom – good ground on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
6.10 The veteran Mythical Madness finally responded to a big drop in the ratings winning here , as he liked, held up for a late charge and doing it smoothly and the 4 pound hit may not stop a repeat.
½ pt win Mythical Madness @ 4/1
7.20 Amalfi Bay was a very easy winner over C&D last time, but it was a modest heat . The penalty will test but is still the likely winner against exposed sorts but 5/4 too short .
7.50 You can make a case for most of these and Thorn won over C&D last time with Leroy Leroy and gold Souk filling the places , but it wasn’t a strong heat and I prefer a play on the capable Miss Mulligan who will find tonight’s company easier than of late .
¼ pt win Miss Mulligan @ 13/2
8.20 Otago came from last to first to win over C&D recently and is respected in this field despite the stiff penalty . The front running Fred remains capable in this company and if securing an early lead could take some reeling in .
¼ pt win Fred @ 9/2
