50p ew trixie & 50p ew treble
Solid Stone 1.50 @ 15/2
Iolani 2.30 @ 9/1
Hightimeyouwon 4.00 @ 13/2
3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Giovanni Change 3.10 @ 5/2
Tabdeed 3.00 @ 3/1
Amazing Red 4.05 @ 15/2
Selected Market Rasen – good ground on this mostly flat and sharp track
1.30 NONE of these are running well enough to be a confident tip but Sid Hoodie won a few starts ago off a slightly lower mark and the wind op and the joining of a new stable are reasons to expect better of late .
¼ pt win Sid Hoodie @ 15/2
2.05 PREMIUM RACE
2.40 PREMIUM RACE
3.10 Quite an open heat but the galloping grey Giovanni Change is the one to beat. He rattled off a quick double here , the latest over C&D , both on this kind of ground and backed that up with a terrific effort at Aintree off this mark and down in trip when rallying most earnestly to go down narrowly and off just a pound higher this willing front runner will take some catching .
¾ pt win Giovanni Change @ 5/2
3.50 This looks good for the odds on fav Saint De Reve as Sunset Showdown is so hard to win with and seven De Baune has stamina doubts .
½ pt win Saint Du Reve @ 4/5
4.22 This has a winnable look to it and the consistent Larch Hill has won over C&D on this ground and could get away with a testing handicap mark .
¼ pt win Larch Hill @ 11/2
Market Rasen placepot
Selected The Curragh – good ground on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
3.25 The Irish Oaks and it will be an almighty surprise if The Epsom Oaks winner Snowfall fails to follow up as she destroyed the field, just as she had done in her previous race this season at York, but both times on soft ground so worth trying to find a surprise winner . There are a number of front runners in this so a true gallop assured and as the fav is tactically versatile that’s no issue but the capable Divinely ran well at Royal Ascot with a staying on 4th in quite a steadily run race and looks good for the frame and as she likes the ground could shock .
¼ pt ew Divinely @ 12/1
4.00 A massive field for this valuable sprint handicap and they wont be hanging around with 4 front runners , across the track and a further 5 known for prominent racing , but as most of these are middle to high , the low numbers could suffer . The in form HIghtimeyouwon is nicely drawn and backed up a good win with a close 4th in a big field here off this mark and over a slightly longer trip and a useful 3 pound claimer rides today .
½ pt ew Hightimeyouwon @ 13/2
Selected Newbury – good ground on this flat and galloping track
1.50 Real World sluiced home in The Royal Hunt winning by a long looking 4 lengths and today dips his toe in Listed Company and goes up in trip . Solid Stone ran a cracking race at Royal Ascot, disputing a strong pace and only giving best late on and lasted longest of the pacesetters . Not as much early pace today and looks a very nice ew play . The youngsters Derab and Movin Time both have a bit to find on form and the former wont be happy on drying ground .
½ pt ew Solid Stone @ 15/2
2.25 The ultra consistent Zeeband was a ready winner of “ The Pitmans Derby “ but goes up a hefty 8 pounds and drying ground a worry . Preference is for the prolific and progressive Rodrigo Diaz , still on a workable mark and longer trip / drying ground no issue.
½ pt win Rodrigo Diaz @ 10/3
3.00 A competitive Group 3 sprint and the progressive young sprinter Diligent Harry has his first try on turf , so can only watch him today . Both King’s Lynn and Happy Romance has clear chances but I’m with last year’s winner Tabdeed , who has exactly the same programme as last season, an encouraging run on the Newcastle tapeta 3 weeks ago which got him cherry ripe for this and with an ideal strong pace on the cards, the double is on .
¾ pt win Tabdeed @ 3/1
3.40 A very valuable 2yo sprint with not a great deal of early pace but if it’s anywhere, it’s with the high numbers which is good news for the market leaders drawn close by each other high , but at this trip and this track I’m with Chipotle to get the better of Royal Ascot 3rd Vintage Clarets .
¾ pt win Chipotle @ 2/1
4.10 An open handicap but Arafi was much improved on the all weather and has carried that on despite the rise in the ratings and on quick turf and her latest run puts her bang in the picture
¼ pt ew Arafi @ 10/1
5.20 Both Qasbaz and Mr Tyrell are likely to struggle down in trip and up in the ratings and Crimson Sand has stamina to prove while recent Donny winner Capla Berry is now also on a tough mark . The lightly raced Foxtrot Sizzler was a good all the way winner here last time but on soft ground and a shorter trip ,but had showed promise in maidens on faster ground and longer trip unlikely to be an issue.
½ pt win Foxtrot Sizzler @ 7/2
Selected Newmarket – good to firm on this undulating , stiff and galloping track
2.15 PREMIUM RACE
2.55 PREMIUM RACE
3.30 An open Listed event for middle distance fillies and I’m with the hat-trick chasing Free Wind who is looking something special and could take the step up in class in her stride.
½ pt win Free wind @ 3/1
4.05 With the bang in form C’Est No Mour now on a tough mark after a tidy win at Goodwood he could struggle to confirm places with Amazing Red on 5 pound worse terms and the tip runs this track very well .
¾ pt win Amazing Red @ 15/2
4.40 After a solid run over C&D Sweet Enough looks a solid fav .
½ pt win Sweet Enough @ 11/8
5.15 A winnable finale and the consistent if luckless Corvair will find this easier than recent tasks and is taken to come off the pace for a deserved win .
½ pt win Corvair @ 3/1
Selected Cartmel – good ground on this unique track , mostly flat and sharp with a very long run in .
2.30 Alqamar was a decent Godolphin horse until having a setback and had almost 3 years off the track but has made up for it coming here on a hat-trick , one of those crucially over C&D and is on a fair mark but this front runner wont have things to himself up front and preference is for the I form Iolani after a close good 2nd over C&d last time .
½ pt ew Iolani @ 9/1
3.05 All of ask Paddington , Shetland Bus, Imperial Sachin’s and the unlucky Calum Gilhooley who lost his weight cloth close to the finish last time when trotting in and has no penalty , have clear claims but I’m with C&D winner Native Fighter who did very well here last time when a good 3rd off this mark when down significantly in trip .
½ pt win Native Fighter @ 10/3
3.45 This is a very weak heat and despite being on a tough enough mark and dropping in trip, the front running Goldencard could take advantage against modest rivals.
¼ pt win Goldencard @ 11/2
4.15 With Brotherly Company now on a very testing mark and dropping in trip and Methodtothemadness now also on a tough mark , the unexposed Authorised is taken to take the rise in the ratings and trip in his stride.
¼ pt win Authorised @ 11/4
4.50 Again not a deep handicap and I’m with Absolutely Dylan to reverse C&d form with the hard to win with Dee star on more favourable terms
¼ pt win Absolutely Dylan @ 5/1
Selected Ripon – good ground on this undulating and sharp track
2.45 Not a race for your last fiver , a juvenile seller but the down in grade Burghley has lost his last 2 races at the start but previously was a good 3rd in a far better race , best behaviour please.
¼ pt win Burgley @ 11/2
3.20 Firebomb has run two most solid races from the front of late and looks a tidy ew play.
¼ pt ew Firebomb @ 7/1
4.30 This looks likely to be fought out between the Mark Johnston pair who are hard to split but at the odds I’m with Roseabad over Harlem Soul .
¼ pt ew Roseabad @ 8/1
5.05 Hard to rule hardly anything out of this competitive handicap which makes the outsider of the field, the in form and capable Saison’s D’or worth a dabble .
¼ pt ew Saison’s D’or @ 14/1
5.40 I was very much with Mukhayyam at Chester last week but was absolutely friendless in the market , for whatever reason and this C&d specialist worth a dabble in a tricky heat .
¼ pt win Mukhayyam @ 7/1
Selected Donny good to firm on this flat and galloping track
7.05 Baashir backed up a good win here , when there was 4 lengths back to the 3rd horse with a good effort on the all weather on the all weather off this mark when unlucky in the run coming 5th . Mark still looks manageable and I like his chance especially with a lot of pace in the race to suit his late playing style .
½ pt win Baashir @ 9/2
8.05 The short priced fav is handicap newcomer Sea La Rosa , lightly raced and runs for a top stable and on a good mark after her Chepstow romp , but did have the run of the race from the front and this is a more benign track. Squelch is a most consistent soul , who split a decent pair at around this trip at Yarmouth on fast ground last time and this C&D winner remains on a workable mark.
¼ pt ew Squelch @ 11/1
8.35 Not a deep finale and the downgraded Buniann gets the nod over the massively consistent Passional, who remains on a mark a touch too high .
¼ pt win Buniann @ 10/3
Selected Haydock - good to firm on this flat and galloping track
6.20 The short priced fav is Glen Esk an easy winner of a most modest small field handicap last time but will be tested the 5 pound hit . The back to form Billy Roberts has responded very well to the drop in the ratings running 3 solid races of late, including over C&D and could strike in a modest field.
¼ pt win Billy Roberts : 9////2
6.50 A tough task for Boudica Bay with a 6 pound penalty for a clear win over C&D last time and could well have to give best to younger legs in Madreselva and Kim Wexler , the nod going to the latter who has improved on tapeta of late at this trip and turf runs acceptable.
¼ pt win Kim Wexler @ 9/4
7.20 Mountain Peak is a perfect 3 from 3 over C&d and this mark shouldn’t be an issue but has struggled a bit in recent runs , until finishing well . I give him the nod in a winnable heat as Get It was hardly impressive landing a modest heat on the all weather returning from a break. Indian Sounds is quite closely matched with the tip on this season’s form while the reliable Phoenix Star will run his race despite the quick ground and track .
¼ pt win Mountain Peak @ 11/4
7.50 The short priced fav is recent impressive C&D winner Albahr , but there are a few here with decent form and a few likely newcomers and I’m with one of them in Hypersonical who cost a right old wedge as a foal £310,000 and surpassed that going for £335, 000 as a 2yo and is the first foal of a listed winner rated 102. Has to be worth a dabble at long odds.
¼ pt ew Hypersonical @ 14/1
8.20 Gal Wonder got the better of Evident Beauty at Newmarket but with a pull in the weights and on a speed track , revenge looks on .
½ pt win Evident Beauty @ 11/4
8.50 Only 6 go and with Baby Alya penalised and a bit to prove on quick turf I give the in form Under Fox the nod over the consistent if luckless Lead Story .
¼ pt win Under Fox @ 7/2
