3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Saison’s D’or 4.15 @ 15/2
Incorrigable 5.00 @ 11/2
Beheld 7.15 @ 3/1
Selected Thirsk – good to firm on this flat and galloping track
1.00As Yellow Bear has run well over C&D in both career runs and brings the best form to the table, no reason why it wont be 3rd time lucky .
¼ pt win Yellow Bear @ 5/2
1.30 Just the 20 in this low grade nursery and we can expect a decent run for our money from Naughty Nadine , who’s ran to this mark in most of her races and the C&D and ground are fine .
¼ pt ew Naughty Nadine @ 10/1
2.00 Another massive field for this selling handicap sprint and the stand out form horse is Manumission , big runs in all 3 tries for David Evans, all in better races , and despite this C&D being on the sharp side, worth a dabble .
¼ pt win Manumission @ 9/4
3.05 The odds on fav is the progressive Hesperius , 3 wins in her last 4 but this looks deeper and has a stiff penalty . Prefer a plat on the well treated and capable Golden Hind @ 6/1
4.15 Saisons D’Or responded well to a rare drop into Class 5 company last time and stayed on well to be 2nd , a good effort considering he’s far more potent when taking them along , which looks likely today and looks a really nice ew play .
½ pt ew Saisons D’Or @ 15/2
4.50 Trinity Lake continues to receive plenty of help from the handicapper to snap out of his long losing run , but he’s been 2nd 5 times off higher marks and comes here on the back of another big run over this C&d when a close 3rd off this mark. This could be his day .
¼ pt win Trinity Lake @ 3/1
Selected Worcester – good ground on this flat and galloping track
1.15 The lightly raced Head On looked in trouble over C&D last time , but the further he went the better he looked and despite the 4 pound penalty will be hard to beat with that experience behind him .
½ pt win Head On @ 7/4
1.45 The penalty and quicker track may well see off Regaby , while Brother Pat didn’t run well here a few starts back and Write It Down remains hard to predict , but is the type to leave out of calculations . The lightly raced Tom O’Roughley has run two very solid races in handicaps from the front and the switch to fences can only help this Point winner .
¼ pt ew Tom O’Roughley @ 8/1
2.20 Jemima P is on a right roll but up another 12 pounds today which makes chasing newcomer Finisk River worth a dabble. This is his best trip , on a workable mark and is an ex pointer , so this should be his game .
¼ pt win Finisk River @ 9/22
2.50 There’s been a flood of money for Mercian Prince in this competitive Class 2 chase , and on paper , he looks the worthy longshot against 4 very much in form rivals, many proven over C&D and the ground and Mercian Prince is unlikely to even get his own way up front with a few others confirmed front runners at this trip . Tough to find the winner .
4.00 Liffeydale Dancer comes here in terrific form and remains on a workable mark and no issues with mark or trip , but all recent runs have come at Cartmel , and only run here was disappointing , but worth a go as he’s a much more confident horse now . Thunderstruck has a bit to prove with a hefty 9 pound penalty , dropping in trip and returning from a 4 months break .
¼ pt win Liffeydale Dancer @ 4/1
4.35 The useful bumper horse Luttrel Lad is long odds on to collect first time hurdling but in a race of more quantity than quality , Balzac is one of the few who is in form , albeit to a low level , but he’s lightly raced and was pretty decent on the flat .
¼ pt ew Balzac @ 50/1
Selected Brighton – good to firm on this undulating , sharp and tricky track
2.10 Recall the Show is 2 from 2 over C&d and only a pound higher than his last winning mark . he’s been holding his form well and looks a most solid fav .
½ pt win Recall The Show @ 15/8
5.00 The odds on fav is Toronado Grey after a smooth win here last time , but the 6 pound penalty wont help nor will the drop in trip . C&D winner Incorrigable has held her form pretty well since and the return to this C&D can only help .
½ pt ew Incorrigable @ 11/2
Selected Kempton – all weather – polytrack
4.45 He hasn't done a great deal to justify his £62,000 price tag but Be lucky My son has showed signs of ability and has run to around this mark a few times . He's related to a top all weather filly and runs for a top stable . Unlucky in the draw , but this wont take much winning and is a lively longshot .
1/2 pt ew Be Lucky My son @ 14/1
5.15 PREMIUM RACE
5.45 PREMIUM RACE
7.15 Beheld certainly has the ability, is proven over C&D, in good form and mark fine , but not a straight forward filly , but if on her best behaviour tonight can land a winnable heat as both Divine Magic and flame of Freedom on uncomfortably high marks for their recent successes.
½ pt win Beheld @ 3/1
7.45 PREMIUM RACE
8.15 A very winnable finale and it can be the luckless Vive La danse’s big night . He’s gone close in all of his last 4 runs , including one at this trip , surface and mark . He’s yet to nail one but is in good company as the only winner in the field is Sundayinmay , who had a rear view of the tip on the Lingfield polytrack . The draw could have been kinder for a front runner , but not much early pace on and he is a trier .
½ pt ew Vive La Danse @ 7/1
