3 £1 doubles & £1 ew treble
Butterflyvespiere 3.00 @ 10/3
Bout Time Bobby 3.30 @ 13/2
Air Hair Lair 4.40 @ 9/4
Selected Listowel- good ground on this sharp track
1.30 An interesting juvenile hurdle as 4 of these won on debut and a few others put in good runs first time over timber . The short priced fav is the Willie Mullins trained Feigh , whose horses always have to be taken seriously here and this one looked good making all at Killarney, but a few others In the field like to go out hard so I’m trying the Gordon Eliott Realist a decent flat horse in Britain and came off the pace nicely to beat a big field with plenty to spare , and handled this kind of track on the flat well.
¼ pt Realist @ 5/1
2.00 Another interesting race and the one to beat clearly at the ratings is the Willie Mullins trained French Made , but a recent return to duties after a lengthy absence could have been far more encouraging and there are plenty of lightly raced , improving youngsters in the field . The front running whosgotyanow is 2 from 2 over hurdles , both at this trip and as there’s not a great deal of early pace about , looks a nice ew play .
¼ pt ew Whosgotyanow @ 8/1
2.30 PREMIUM RACE
3.00 Plenty of in form types in this mares handicap hurdle but the pair who bring the strongest form to the race are the lightly raced youngsters in Butterflyverspiere and Dympna’s Well . The latter was a smart winner at this trip last time at Downpatrick , winning pretty much as she liked and the 7 pound hit could well be manageable but preference for the tip who has run two big races in defeat of late , the latest a mighty 3rd of 20 at Galway off around this mark and a return to this longer trip is in her favour and has run well before on tight tracks.
½ pt win Butterflyverspiere @ 10/3
3.30 The fav is the clearly highest rated Captain Kangaroo who should carry a government wealth warning as he’s blown some straight forward chances , not looking the most willing in the finish and worth taking on . Wall of Fame brings good form to the table, but all on soft ground so preference is for the lightly raced Bout Time Bobby , whose run well in both hurdles tries and gave the impression last time when a valiant 2nd that this longer trip would suit.
½ pt ew Bout Time Bobby @13/2
4.00 The fav is the consistent Posseidon , clearly the one to beat at the ratings but at the odds I’d rather chance the useful hurdler Slige dala trying fences for the first time as the stable does very well here .
¼ pt win Slige Dala @ 5/1
4.30 Only 3 go but they are rated similarly but Receiving weight the front running Ballyoisin has a tidy buffer and of the trip comes here in the best form , but a bit worried that his recent win came after a lengthy absence so could bounce . The useful The Storyteller could well find this trip too sharp and record running fresh not good .
Selected Hamilton – soft ground on this undulating , galloping and stiff track .
1,45 tricky opener as recent Ffos Las winner has his work cut out to a couple of promising types in Qitaal and Sharvara but preference for the latter whose sire is a huge influence for soft ground and shapes as this stiffer test will suit .He’s a rare runner for Richard Hannon here who makes the 800 mile round trip and is 1 from 2 at the track .
½ pt win Sharvara @ 4/1
3.20 PREMIUM RACE
3.50 Albegone sluiced in on easy ground at Musselburgh , but the penalty and a switch to a much stiffer track, likely to find him out . Mews House is holding his form well for his new stable but is another who could find the going too soft . Tomily is not the horse he was but has run a couple of fair races of late and has a rare run in Class 6 where his record stands at 2 wins and a place from4 tries. Soft ground no issue and neither should be the track .
¼ pt ew Tomily @ 10/1
4.20 Not a deep contest and understandable that the mightily consistent De Mazzaro is a warm order but a bit to prove on softer ground . Edgar Allan Poe is well handicapped and has a good record here and the ground shouldn’t be an issue . He is however inconsistent but with David Allen a positive jockey booking , worth a dabble at long odds.
¼ pt ew Edgar Allan Poe @ 20/1
Selected Plumpton – good ground on this slightly undulating and sharp track
2.10 Should be a cakewalk for 1/3 fav Galata Bridge after a useful debut over timber .
2.40 A very open small field handicap and a chance can be given to the vast majority but the well handicapped C&D winner Constancio has been hinting of a revival of late and gets the nod .
¼ pt win Constancio @ 7/2
3.10 Romanor is clearly the form horse and with only really serious rival Dogon looking hard to win with and quick ground no real help , the tip looks good for a 3rd win In 4 races and still well handicapped.
½ pt win Romanor @ 6/4
3.40 The short priced fav is the decent flat horse Impulsive One who now runs in famous colours for Champion Trainer Nicky Henderson but there are a couple, who were only modest on the flat who have are much improved since going hurdling in Fred Bare and The Yellow Mini and the nod goes to the latter who beat a decent ex French horse last time with one who had been running consistently well a long way back in 3rd .
¼ pt win The Yellow Mini @ 9/2
4.10 PREMIUM RACE
4.40 This is not a deep race and Air Hair Lair, who’s hardly put a hoof wrong in 4 tries, remains on a workable mark and looks good for another win .
½ pt win Air Hair Lair @9/4
